Back again with another layout. This one is using a sketch from My Scraps and More Sketches #89. I'm also working on a cousins challenge so combine the 2 and I have the starting page to this year's reunion:
and this is the sketch:
This was really fun to put together and using my current counterfeit kit for the layout it came together pretty quickly.
I used the thickers that was in my kit and the chipboard letters that I colored with some really old crackle paint.
Sprinkled around some seaside skittles
The triangles were pieced together with 2 solid colors, journaling done along the edge.
History in the Making is a CM sticker from the reminisce title stickers
Was really fun to put together and excited to put together the rest of the pictures that I printed from this day to include in out family album. See you all tomorrow....

CUJO not quite
Hi you all! Hope your having a fabulous day. We canned up 28 quarts of sweet relish and had some time to scrap and got this one in before the time was up over at Sketch N Scrap, I used their sketch. This layout is of our oldest dog Jake, he is our groundhog killer :) He keeps our yard well maintained throughout the summer of these critters.
and the sketch:
I used some of my counterfeit kit and some of my dog theme supplies for the layout.
I'm a big Stephen King fan so when I got challenge to do a layout with a book title, I knew that I had these pictures I could use and the book CUJO was perfect for the title.
This was the first year we had Jake and in May we were training him to get this critters and he did so well.
Jake is our outdoor dog prefers to be outside and we let him, but he comes in every night. He's older now and not getting around as he used to but when he does see a groundhog he still tries to get them.
I hope you had a great holiday weekend, it's been relaxing around here.
Stop by tomorrow for something really special :)

Twister
Hi you all :) Having a fabulous weekend so far? I did this layout for a 24 hour challenge in the yahoo group I belong too. I used one paper collection for the layout and it actually came together pretty quickly using a chosen sketch.
The sketch:
I stayed pretty true to the sketch. I used the October Afternoon Midway collection for the layout, it's in my Counterfeit Kit this month with plans to do some fair layouts, this may have been the only one I got done this month :) Since it was a full collection it all came together fairly quickly.
This collection is a really fun collection, the Tilt a Whirl background paper gave a nice backdrop to the pictures.
Dave and the boys enjoying the Twister and the pictures really capture that joy
I used the gray star paper to mat the photos and the mat the ticket pennants too
The little cluster on the top right corner includes another row of tickets and the date. These are some pictures from a few years ago that I'm still scrapping, got some more to do yet to finish up the fun few days we had when Tammy and the Grandkids were in town in 2010. It's fun to do the now pictures and it's fun to do the then pictures too as I get a chance to enjoy the memories :)
Have a fabulous weekend...

life is GOOD........
Hi you all and it's Friday! A long weekend ahead, I'm so looking forward to this. I got some scrappin planned but we are also gonna be busy putting up tomatoes and tomato juice for the winter. We are seeing the harvest season and the garden coming to an end, a coolness in the air.
I have a layout that I made from a challenge in both my Big Picture Class SuperStashbusters and also the Scrappin N Chattin yahoo group. I love using Aly Dosdall's class sketches cause she does alot of layers and it's something I struggle with and so glad to do it with these sketches. This challenge is #5: Stamp It
The sketch that was used had all these extra layers so I used 5 different papers on this layout. I used all the pattern paper on one side and the cardstock on the other to ground the pictures. Used a variety of stamps around the page and ink of choice was CTMH Goldrush for this layout. The stamps, ink and papers are from my current Counterfeit Kit.
This layout was done with the 2 photos I had left from this day when our son came back from a tour of duty and Zach's 1st year event taking place. They had professional photos done, shows the beauty of family.
I've sprinkled sunflower yellow pearls among the layout and in a nice design triangle for you eye to look throughout the layout
I grabbed a this & that tags & things in Gold Toile the Shakespeare and butterflies on the page too that I had received in my early years of scrapping and the colors worked out perfect for this layout.
This was a fun challenge, I need to get into the stamping more.. It's a nice touch on the layout. Wasn't able to use up my kit this month but it was fun trying and I expect to use a few more papers yet this weekend before the month is over.
Thanks for stopping by today and I wish you all a joyful holiday weekend.....

Log Cake
Hello, today I have a layout I did from a challenge in a class I'm taking at Big Picture Classes. This challenge was to repeat design. I chose washi tape for this challenge to repeat.
This is the sketch:
This was interesting to do and the washi tape gives off a nice background. I used the washi tape I had pulled this month from my Counterfeit kit and drew from that for more tape to use. If you have a love for washi tape this is a great way to use a bunch of it. You want to leave the edges open so your eye has a place to rest. I pulled in blues, reds and yellow tapes for the layout.
The title cluster I used 2 different alphas for it and a cute cutout then added the metal button
Trying to use up bits and pieces in my current kit, I found the journaling tag and with the pink frame thought it was perfect for the layout some more cut outs to layer the pictures.
I took a picture of the cake's vitals too. We weren't there to enjoy a taste of the cake, but it was fascinating to see it.
CTMH triangle studs to point to the picture
A square doily to mat the mess hall picture and another button to balance out the page
This was one of the fun sites when we went to Gainesville in 2010. A living history exhibit of the CCC camps that were in our area and various rooms set up to see how they did live and since it was a logging camp, that is the emphasis on the PA Log Museum. Figuring since I can't find some information on my GGgrandfather I can assume he worked for one of these camps.
Thanks for stopping by and you all have a fantastic day today :)

Prior To
Good Morning you all, Wednesday and half way through the week. I made this layout from a sketch challenge over at Scrappin and Chattin yahoo group. I enjoy these types of sketches cause I'm not so good with leaving space on my layout but this one left plenty of space in the right hand to corner.
Here is the sketch:
I opted to use one picture instead of 2, used the background paper for a resemblance of a 2nd picture :)
All the papers came from my Counterfeit Kits, The 12X12 from this month and the 2 butterfly paprs came from a prior kit. Wasn't able to get close to killing the kit this month but it has been fun using it when I can. My granddaughter Isabelle's 1st Dance Recital, I was lucky to grab these off of facebook for the layout.
I added distress stickles to the percut scallop circle that made and excellent banner style element
Issa with her BFF. Thickers used from the current kit for the title and I had gotten some diecut stickers in dance to splash about the page.
You all have a great day and I'll see you all soon as I have 2 layouts to get posted this week :)
