Favorite for Lasting Memories #405 challenge

Good Morning and welcome :) Wow have we gotten quite of bit a rain over the weekend with the storm hanging over us, starting Saturday morning and still going on today, this far we have had 3.7" of rain! There are puddles in the garden, large puddles. Guess I'll be hanging laundry downstairs in the basement this week as there is more rain coming in the forecast for this week. Hopefully it's a bit drier where you all live.
Now for the challenge over at Lasting Memories Scrapbook challenge, we are on the monthly theme of All About Me and this week's challenge is YOU are my Favorite: Create a layout documenting one or many of your favorite things and journal your WHY. You can do a layout listing your favorites in multiple categories - book, movie, food, location, drink, tv show, etc; or, you can focus on one favorite that deserves it's own entire layout. Maybe the world needs to know why scrapbooking is your favorite hobby!? Tell us about you, friend.
I went with cooking for this favorite challenge:
This was one of my favorite layouts I created during LOAD1017 Day 28: I’ve got a secret…
…formula – a favorite product that you swear by, and it doesn’t have to be scrappy! Bisquick is a favorite staple in our house for cooking, used it with Mom as a kid to cook and I use it now for my own cooking. I bashed those huge buttons when I created this layout, so glad to have them out of my stash :) and used a fun cooking vellum quote too on this layout.

A great quote for the layout
a picture of me using one of my favorite products :)
Thank you for stopping by today and I look forward to seeing your creations for this fun challenge this week over at Lasting Memories Scrapbook challenge

Great Gift layout for a Funday Friday challenge

Good Morning and welcome :) I hope you have had a great week this week :) If you have stopped over looking for the Sketches in Thyme Project Life Style challenge you can find that post here

Happy Friday to you :) It's Funday Friday and Today over at Jo's Scrap Shack our challenge is Always Anything Goes. Our sponsor this week is Little Blue Button Stamps. I dug into a stash of bits and pieces looking for one of the printables that I may have on hand and found 2 that I added to the clustering on this layout:
When I was looking through my photos to use for the art pieces I came across these photos from early in the year and they spoke to me for this layout :) So went looking for some papers to use for the layout I come across some in an older counterfeit kit: from my April counterfeit kit: Spring Flings and Easter Things. The background paper came from my 100 Pattern Paper challenge pile, been trying to get into this pile more often lately so I can get that conquered before the end of the year.
For my layout inspiration I used a sketch over at Sketch N Scrap's July crop on facebook:
No automatic alt text available.
Rotating it just once to work with my photos. Love the layering on this sketch and was able to use some scraps on it too.
The title for the layout it was a great gift I got for Christmas from my brother and his wife :) The bits and pieces came from the stash bowl that I got the art printables from.
When I first put out the gift for the birds, using the printable and a few punched out hearts
The other printable I added to the 2 photos here at the bottom of the layout. The hello actually came from this month's counterfeit kit in the ephemera pack. Thanks for stopping by today and I look forward to seeing your creations for this fun challenge.

Seeing The Animals Layout for a Sketches in Thyme PL style challenge

Good Morning to you :) I hope you are having a fantastic day and weekend. Wow where the heck is July off too going by so fast!
We have a wonderful sketch challenge over at Sketches in Thyme Project Life Style  for the 2nd half of the month it is a title project life card. The card I created with Emma's sketch is:
The card was one I had in my stash for awhile it is one that I precut a 3X4 pattern paper when I was 1st getting into project life years ago. I created my title for my layout using the card and this fun sketch from Emma:
 No automatic alt text available.
Here is the layout that I created using this card:
Going to the fair I still stop and take a peek into to see the animals they have for the petting zoo, one of my favorite places to go as a kid was the petting zoo wherever we went and it was available.
The title card on the layout.
 Journaling
and some added chipboard from my current counterfeit kit: Dash of This and Dash of That. The background paper came from my 100 Pattern Paper Challenge pile.

Today is a Good Day to have a Good Day layout for Use Your Stuff challenge

Hello and welcome to today's challenge over at Use Your Stuff blog and we are challenged today to do Birthday. I gathered up all my Birthday stuff in my current counterfeit kit: Dash of This and Dash of That kit and sorted through the paper elements I had in the ephemera packs and used that to build up the layers on this fun cake eating layout.
Waylon's 3rd Birthday party, this was the Happy Birthday to you, blow out the candles and lets have cake portion of the birthday :) Just enough pictures printed yet for 2 more layouts.
I used a sketch to help inspire me with this layout:
http://nutsaboutsketches.blogspot.com
Following Shimelle's day 7 prompt from here Layer on Layer on Layer class, I layered up that bottom photo on the left side of the layout:
For me this was a new technique especially on a double page layout to layer up one photo before adding it to the layout was a cool way to approach layering too and using up that stuff!

Fair Exhibits for Sketch N Scrap challenge

Good Morning and welcome to today's sketch challenge over at Sketch N Scrap. Here is the sketch from Heather Hall, that we were to use:
No automatic alt text available.
and this is the layout I created with it:
Using the sketch the way it was but used different orientation of the photos. We do love to go to our local fair and see the fair exhibits :) We were there just last night for this year's fair. This was a fun sketch to use and thought the background paper with the variety of layers that it had it would make for a fine start to the layout. Using my Die Cuts With A View Crafty pad for my papers and the 6X6 paper and ephemera from Shimelle's Box of Crayons from my summer section of my counterfeit kit from this month's kit Dash of This and Dash of That.
It was nice combining an old collection with a new collection and it worked well together. My journaling spot
picture and paper cluster with ephemera and punched out hearts from the paper I used to mat the photos.
The top cluster and photo, really love to see the quilts and the 4-H exhibits too. Thanks for stopping by and seeing what I'm up to in my little corner of the world. I look forward to seeing what you create with this fun sketch over at Sketch N Scrap.
If you want to see more sketches and more crafty fun head over to our July Red, White & Blue Crop!! Hope to see you there!

We Have Arrived layout for Counterfeit Kit Challenge #1

Good Morning and welcome to the 1st challenge of the month-Forget Me Not over at Counterfeit Kit Challenge blog. Today Lori has challenged us to: We all have them - those tools and embellishments that get pushed to the side and are collecting dust. Pull out those forgotten tools and embellishments and put them to use - punches, brads, buttons, ribbon, rub-ons, dies or die cutting machines, etc. Show those forgotten items some love again!
Myself I love to use brads on my layouts scattered about like enamel dots :) so if I keep them on my desk I find that I will use them more often, but still tend to forget about them unless a challenge asks for them then I easy grab them :)
I used the Simple Stories Travel Notes collection that is in my Dash of This and Dash of That kit for my layout from our Cleveland Trip in June, many more layouts from this trip to come :)
My journaling and one of my embellished spots with brads included
Another close up of the photos I took in the car as we were heading into Cleveland from the interstate. Cluster with stickers and brads.
Larger cluster smack in the center of the layout
The bottom cluster with stickers and brads. It was a cool trip and I hope to do the album justice, with lots of pictures and info too. The arrival into the city was a big part of the 1st day, excitement had been building up for weeks while we were planning the trip and we finally arrived and it was a cool moment that I think need documented into the album.
Thanks for stopping by and I look forward to seeing your creation for this fun challenge over at the Counterfeit Kit Challenge blog.

Night Shift layout for LM #403 challenge

Good Morning and welcome to today's challenge over at Lasting Memories scrapbook challenge blog. This month Natalie has challenged us "I hear a lot of discussion about scrappers who tend to leave themselves out of the documentation. Your story is so important! This month's challenges will focus on an All About Me theme, and I can't wait to learn more about you all!" What an awesome challenge month, let's get to know all about you too :)
This week's challenge
LM #403 - Document your JOB

Often we don't document the everyday parts of our lives, but our jobs are surely a huge portion of our being. Create a layout about your current job, a past job, your everyday tasks/chores that may not pay but are certainly a job, or even about a dream job you may never have had or yet have. Tell your career stories!
I've told many stories about my business, but I don't think I told to many stories of the job I have now or jobs I have had in the past. Here is one about the job I have now:
This layout was created for LOAD217 Greek Mythology was such a fun LOAD day 14 prompt:
DAY 14: Hephaestus
What is your work? How do you spend your days? What is your labour of love?
My Labor of Love, actually I do love my current job :) but my labor of love is working the night shift :) We are a small crew so we are more like very close friends as we all know each other now. I enjoyed this prompt and will be making another layout in the future about what I do at my job with a few job pictures. The picture here is of just some of the snacks we make and package. I'm in the cracker packaging dept. 'The Pouch Line' that puts together the Teddy Bears packaging as well as small pouches of crackers.

Sesquicentennial July 4th Layout-Funday Friday challenge

Happy Friday to you :) It's Funday Friday and Today over at Jo's Scrap Shack our challenge is Always Anything Goes. Our sponsor this week is Little Blue Button Stamps. I had gotten Vintage recipe printable cards. I love to use their printables on layouts this particular set is great for journaling, fussy cutting the edge that was not needed but kept the rest for a fabulous journal block that I printed big enough to cut in half and add journaling to both sides of the layout. Here is the double page layout I created using it:
This was a work in progress layout with the right side getting done 2 weeks ago for that Funday Friday and now the other side for this week's Funday Friday Challenge. These were pictures of us enjoying a bit of the 4th in Downtown Williamsport for the 150th Anniversary. We never been there for this festival so it was a good day to check it out. Using my 100 Pattern Paper challenge pile for the background paper and the rest of the paper came from scraps on my craft desk.
I used the sketch from last month over at Let's Scrap for inspiration for this layout:
One of the only challenge sites left offering just double page layout inspiration.
This is the side I created this week, lots of layers with the matting and that long banner was fun to create and gives a festive look.
The opposing side I created 2 weeks ago :) Some pictures I got from when we were exploring Downtown Williamsport, times have changed since I was a kid and went downtown often, cool to see so much artwork in the brick of the buildings.
Using the clock journaling card for the theme of the layout to add my journaling
 Pictures closeup
and the journaling from the right side layout. Thank you for stopping by and I look forward to seeing what you create for this fun challenge.
So make sure to play along this week~

Happy Birthday with cake for Sketch N Scrap challenge

Good Morning and welcome:) We have a fun sketch to start off the July card-making over at Sketch N Scrap:
No automatic alt text available.
Wow this is just a fun sketch to play with and this is the card I created with it:
This was just so simple to create and such a great impact too. I used the 2 birthday papers that was in my counterfeit kit: Dash of This and Dash of That added the gold glitter tape and the Happy Birthday sentiment and popped up the cake die cut piece, a completed card
I brought the left over cut piece for the word paper to the inside a good use of that scrap and added a sentiment I had on hand and the card is ready to be sent out with a thoughtful message from us. Thank you for stopping by and seeing what I'm creating in my little corner of the world, Now it's your turn and I can't wait to see what you create with this fun and easy sketch :)

Also check out our next event over at Facebook for more fun and more sketches to play with:

Love the New Snow layout for a Use Your Stuff challenge

Hello and welcome back :) This is my 2nd post of the day. If you are looking for the Stick It Down post you can find that here.
Welcome to a new challenge today!   This time around we're looking for monochromatic projects that Use Your Stuff!  This is a great challenge to use up different shades of a color that you have a lot of in your stash... or showcase a favorite color, or whatever way you are inspired !
I challenged myself to use Green that was in my counterfeit kit in February: Pretty Little Pastimes
for this layout as this was the challenge for Day 16 of LOAD218. Love the pop of green with the daffodil photo and drew my color scheme from that. The white of the snow just pops off the green background
Using a variety of green on the layout even the puffy word stickers had a hint of green on them.
 Love this picture
Love that I was able to do my journaling with the green strips of pattern paper too.
What a wonderful day to take pictures of the birds too.
Thank you for stopping by and I look forward to seeing your creation for this fun challenge over at Use Your Stuff!
