Christmas Eve Service for Sketch N Scrap challenge

Good Morning and welcome! Hope the holiday preparedness doesn't hav you in to much of a tizzy at the moment, this year seems to be so different than any other year that I can remember of.

Welcome to the 2nd layout sketch challenge of the month over at Sketch N Scrap blog. Lisa has provided this great sketch perfect for the holidays to layer all that beautiful holiday paper too.

This is the layout I created sticking with the holiday theme and to have my cart out that has my 2017 photos on it I chose a few pictures from the Christmas Eve Service at church

I was blessed that year to not host the Christmas Eve dinner for my family so I was able to attend the beautiful Christmas Eve Service at my church.

Thanks for stopping by today and seeing what I'm up to in my little corner of the world.
I look forward to seeing what you create from this fun sketch over at Sketch N Scrap.

You Are Rawrsome Card for Sketch N Scrap Challenge

Good Morning and Happy December! Wow can you believe it! We made it to December 2020, yes a month to go and hopefully 2021 is a better year for the world! But one thing about what is happening is that not all things have stopped, as you can see I'm still creating, lol! My sanity through this year for sure. Welcome to the 1st card challenge of the month over at Sketch N Scrap blog. Heather has provided this awesome sketch to get us started with cards this month:

How fun is that sketch! I need to make another one for a Christmas card, but this 1st one is a card for a very special birthday for our youngest Great Grandson

They had Elijah dressed up as a new baby dino for Halloween and they are having a Dinosaur theme Birthday party too so thought it was right to make a Dino 1st Birthday card for him. Thanks for stopping by today to see what I created and can't wait to see what you create from this cool sketch over at Sketch N Scrap blog.

Autumn Blessings LO for Sketch N Scrap challenge

Good Morning, the weather here in PA has been changing all over the place! Last week I think we had Indian Summer and now the temps have changed to the cooler weather of Fall. Welcome to the 2nd layout sketch challenge of the month over at Sketch N Scrap blog. Stacy has a sweet sketch for us to play with this month:

This was a fun sketch to play with :) I added an extra picture to my layout but the essence of the sketch is still there.

A walk that Buddy and I took on a Saturday night before the time change, enjoying a bit of time outside. The leaves have fallen quite a bit by then. Using my current counterfeit kit: Fall Breeze and the sequins came from my Kreative Cuts Club November 2019 kit. This sketch was great for the scraps of papers I had in my kit.

Thanks for stopping by today and seeing what I'm up to in my little corner of the world.
I look forward to seeing what you create from this fun sketch over at Sketch N Scrap.

Life is Lovely LO for CKC Challenge #1

Good Morning and welcome :) The 1st challenge for Counterfeit Kit Challenge is here! for this month and Lisa has challenged us for the 1st challenge of the month with:

Getting Fussy!

Lisa says "There are several papers in the inspiration kit which just scream out to me for some fussy cutting and it's one of my favourite things to do! It's therapeutic and never takes as long as you think and the results are always pretty! It can be a perfect way to use brighter or bolder designs or add some individual embellishments to your kit. It really is one of my top five techniques. So I'm challenging you to fussy cut something from your kit and use it on a project!"

Definitely a challenge for me as fussy cutting is not one of my favorites in the scrappy world techniques :) but I'm up for the challenge and took these 2 papers from my kit

Cut out these flowers from the 1st one and the Butterflies in the next one and used them for embellishments on my layout
Using the flowers to create a whimsical border around the picture adding the butterflies throughout the layout and the to create more whimsical feel to the layout I added the doodling from the butterflies flight path to ground them a bit.
I used the Day 4 sketch from Series 5 of Christy's Beautiful Life 30 days of sketches series for my layout inspiration as well as using my kit Fall Breeze with a few things pulled in that were on my scrappy desk and from my Bashket
Thank you for stopping by and seeing what I'm up to in my little corner of the world. Check out Counterfeit Kit Challenge blog for what the other forgers created for this fun challenge

CKC - November Kit Reveal - Fall Breeze

Good Morning and welcome to my little corner of the world :) Hey it's the 1st day of November and that means it's time for a new inspirational kit over at Counterfeit Kit Challenge Blog and this month our host is Master Forger Lisa. We like to welcome Sarah Rice as our Guest Forger this month, she very active in our Facebook Community, She'll be joining us on IG  @sassybagladysarahscraps. But first you should arrived here from Tracey's blog there will be a full list of the blog hop at the end of the email. Lisa has chosen for us this kit to counterfeit this month:

Lisa: As most of you know, November is my favourite month of the year and I love doing the CKC kit at this time - and this year is no exception. I had a bit of a look around but as always the Hip Kit Club's autumn kit just got me and therefore, even though we just had the HKC a couple of months ago, I want to have it again this month as our inspiration! It's got a bit of everything - cosy days, leaves, flowers, autumn colours, homely feeling, cute embellies, and a handful of items that might be good for forging! I hope you love it too! I'll be showcasing the main kit but there is a pocket page and embellie kit too as well as some other mini-kits over there on the site. I like the fact that it's full of "real" product - not exclusives!

Hip Kit Club - October 2020

This is a pretty cool kit, love the rich color of the purple with the blues, yellows and the hints of orange. Love seeing the leaves and the plaids in this collection with the florals too. Great to see it based off a Simple Stories fall line too as Simple Stories is one of my favorite manufactures for kits and my kit finishes off with one of their collections too, but I did pull a kit together from various sources in my scraproom:
Fall Breeze

Fun papers to play with, lots of Gold with the alphas and words, couple of ribbons and some washi, found some fun small chipboard pieces in fall theme and I added both the Simple Stories Fall Farmhouse collection with 6x8 paper pad and a 6x6 paper pad fall theme.

Close ups of the kit:

Papers:

Variety of stickers and ephemera
Alphas and word stickers

6X6 paper pad and the 6X8 paper pad

Thanks for stopping by today and I hope you'll join us and create your own version of this inspiration. Now off you go and see what Laura has curated on her instagram page

Now for the monthly blog list and the reveal enjoy hopping around and seeing what everyone has been inspired by the kit :)

Trick or Treat! Yes it's Halloween time and here at Counterfeit Kit Challenge blog Master Forger Tracey has challenge us to play along with this challenge:

Given that Halloween falls in October for Challenge Two we will play Trick or Treat. You need to take three turns and either pick three Tricks (something a little tricky to use) or Treats (something that you love to use) or if you want to combine Tricks and Treats then you need to pick five, from the list below and incorporate onto your layout – don’t forget to tell us what you have used!!

Trick                                Treat
Hand Stitching                 Flowers
Eyelets                             Enamel Dots
Glitter                              Rainbows
Fringing                           Stencils
Mixed Media                   Stripes
Doodling                          Hearts
Rubons                            Woodgrain

What a fun challenge this is! I have taken the Treat side of the challenge and using flowers in various forms, enamel dots and diagonal stripes on my layout about Flowers :) Using my kit Naturally Cool, Day 17 LOAD prompt and Day 17 sketch of #30DSCBL6 sketch and created this summery layout:

Loved using the sticker book to add little details to the layout with the flowers, bows and birds. Die cuts added some fun titles to the layout and the papers worked put pretty good too :)

and the layout I created with it:

Love that face! Lily's such a sweetie and to see this memory from 2 years ago is so cool. I wanted to stay with the purple that was emphasized with her bib and the back ground came in for the sweet potatoes. Using some fun new nuvo mousse I got and did some stenciling on the layout. Adding some purple velvet ribbon with some puffy stickers and enamels

CKC - October Kit Reveal - Naturally Cool

Good Morning and welcome to my little corner of the world :) Hey it's the 1st day of October and that means it's time for a new inspirational kit over at Counterfeit Kit Challenge Blog and this month our host is Master Forger Tracey. Welcome to Machelle Willing as the Guest Design Team Member for October. So here we go! We're gonna try something different this month :) a new kit collection that is on the horizon by my favorite Scrapper Shimelle Laine: The kit she has chosen is September’s edition of The Best of Both Worlds by Shimelle Laine. Super fun idea for putting a kit together :)  If you want more of an explanation on how The Best of Both Worlds Kit works pop on over to Shimelle’s blog to see how she does it.

* Image of Kit put together by Siri Astrid Reenskaug Fjortoft.

So I had fun choosing papers from what she had in here choices in her kit. My kit is called

Naturally Cool!

My kit includes the supplies to do some mixed media including 2 stencils, 2 mists, texture paste and an ink pad. Got some white alphas, lots of stickers with the sheets and the sticker book has lots of labels in it for that label sheet in the kit :) Got one die cuts pack and 2 enamels packs that match the blue/teal I'm using in my ink and mists.

My papers that are in the kit, I tried to stay with some of the colors in her kit and some of the cut apart cards that he had going on too. I had the Never Grow Up paper pad so I pulled the tree paper from that is just a bit different than what she has pull from the collection. There is 30 papers in her kit and I have 23, just enough for me as I got a bit left over from last month to play with too.

Thanks for stopping by today and I hope you'll join us and create your own version of this inspiration. Now off you go and see what Tracey has curated on her blog

Now for the monthly blog list and the reveal enjoy hopping around and seeing what everyone has been inspired by the kit :)

We will be back throughout the month to give you some tips and trick, ideas and challenges as you put your kit together and to use.

African Savanna LO for the CKC Challenge #2 - Tic Tac Toe

Good Morning and welcome to the 2nd challenge of this month over at Counterfeit Kit Challenge blog. Our host this month Master Forger Cindy challenge us to a Tic Tac Toe challenge:

With a wide variety of elements in out kits, everything from animals to pencils, hot dogs to insects, hearts to zebras it may be a bit daunting to  figure out where to start,  I made a Tic Tac Toe grid to get you going. I pulled items from each of the kits and the categories are listed with a few ideas following. Pick your row and tell us what you are using.

I chose to the diagonal from the top left to the bottom right. Pulling elements for the double page layout from a visit at the Cleveland Metroparks Zoo from our Cleveland Trip in 2018

It was fun to finally get started on the Zoo portion of our trip, this was our 1st stop and wit my Nature part of my CKC Summer's End and the washi tape that I have been using throughout the album I made this fun 2 page layout.

Thanks for stopping by today and seeing what I've been creating in my scrappy corner of the world and I look forward to seeing the row you choose to create with :)

Choo Choo layout for Stick It Down challenge

Good Morning and welcome to the Stick It Down double page challenge for September. We had this wonderful sketch from Lauren to use for our inspiration:
https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjSLA79G3GFx6ZazJV-WS-k-xW9y_yHQl-HMOmJi0Xupjac6-HEZJ39c_JGXgOw4YpXstIduUGBVncl00FQl2NR1TNN1mSo1mmYNkqhyphenhyphenOYZgOdeQvOT4jDipnKX644cMEhRZYO3f641R0Gs/w500-h250/Sketch-double24.jpg
This is the layout I created :)
I had come across this envelope of the Great Granddaughters enjoying a day a Chuck e Cheese and little Ava (atleast she was little then she started Kindergarten this year!) was enjoying the train. I used last month's counterfeit kit: Sparkle in Purple, the color combo of that kit was great for the tracks of pattern paper for the layout. I included some train stickers to make that border edge under the pictures :) Some close up of the layout:
Added glitter dots and glitter stars too.
A couple of cameras and those wood veneer arrows to finish off the layout. Thanks for stopping by today to see what I'm up to in my little corner of the world and I look forward to seeing your creation with this sketch.

CKC - September Kit Reveal - Summer's End

Good Morning and welcome to my little corner of the world :) Hey it's the 1st day of September and that means it's time for a new inspirational kit over at Counterfeit Kit Challenge Blog and this month our host is Master Forger Cindy. But 1st you should have arrived her from Tara's blog. Welcome to our Guest Designer this month:  Misty Murphy, she can be found on her You Tube channel Crafty Soup Video (https://www.youtube.com/user/CraftySoupVideo) here.
From Cindy:
Summer is almost over, schools are starting, leaves are changing here in Minnesota, the weather is great, the garden is producing, we are still grilling and enjoying the patio and deck, I am not ready for the white stuff to come.
With that said, I picked a kit that that has a little bit of all of this going on. It is the August 2020 Flavors of the Month Kit from The Scraproom.  I love how I will be able to scrap all of this with just one kit and how I can combine the kits and make a layout using a little bit of all of them. It is like one giant kit or four small ones.

You can find the kit here and an unboxing video here,

Cindy's right we are seeing here in PA the end of the garden harvesting, finally some cooler weather and Schools is starting. We're still grilling here and enjoying our back porch/patio while we can before the temps change so with that said I stayed in the 4 sections to create my kit:
Summer's End

My 1st section is cooking related too using the last of my Echo Park Homegrown Collection and some scraps that I found along the way with some cute die cuts from my old swapping days. This includes 2 sticker sheets too and die cuts pack (I was surprised how many were left in the pack):

The next selection was the school block so I grabbed the one school collection I had bits and pieces of from CTMH Chalk It Up with that I added 2 papers from last month's kit the blue stars and swirls and the red. The CTMH collections has plenty of cardstock with it that I can use that across the other collections. The chipboard, the stamp set and some bits I added (owls) to finish up this selection:

For the bottom left section I went with a younger boy's collection thinking of some older grandboy pictures and a trip to the Museum of Earth in Ithaca NY pictures that will work with this collection from PhotoPlay: Jurassic that includes stripe paper, dotted paper, Dinosaurs, footprints, cutaparts, a fun sticker sheet and some die cuts. I added a stripe paper from Three Bugs in a Rug (old paper!) and an unknown dotty paper that probably came out of a paper pad, the only thing I might have to add is some alphas.

The last one is a nature based section which I included the mushroom paper from last month's kit, 4 sheets from the Pink Paislee Again & Again collection, stickers and die cuts from Heidi Swapp's Honey & Spice collection, enamel dots, a couple of odd ball cutaparts and some mushrooms in wood veneer and die cut

A smaller kit than my usual kit, but I still got lots left over from last month to play with yet :) Thanks for stopping by today and I hope you'll join us and create your own version of this inspiration. Now off you go and see what Tracey has curated on her blog

Now for the monthly blog list and reveal, enjoy hopping around and seeing what everyone has been inspired by from the kit.

Fun Times LO for a Sketch N Scrap challenge

Good Morning and welcome to the 2nd layout sketch challenge of the month over at Sketch N Scrap blog. Stacy has has done a fantastic sketch for us to play with this month:
Image may contain: text that says 'Photo Photo TITLE Layout Sketch #207by Stacy Daubenberger www www.sketchnscrap.blogspot.com'
Here is what I created with the sketch
I came across these fun pictures from 2016 of 2 of my Great-Grandaughters (Ava was so little back then!) when I went searching through my printed pictures the other week and have been loving scrapping the photos. My current counterfeit kit: Sparkle in Purple is perfect for this with all its bright colors. I added some October Afternoon Midway collection to the layout to give off that carnival vibe from the place itself. This is the 3rd layout I've done from the photos with a couple more of Ava on the train ride :) Thanks for stopping by today and seeing what I'm up to in my little corner of the world.
I look forward to seeing what you create from this fun sketch over at Sketch N Scrap.
