28 Years lo for CKC challenge #2

 Good Morning and welcome :) Mid July and you can tell, been a hot summer so far and I'm loving it! Less humid would be nice but I'm okay with it too :) beats that white stuff that flies around in the winter time :)

Buenos Dias!

Get creative with a foreign language!  

Whatever your main/native language is at home, use a foreign word or expression on your page today.

  Link it to a story about a holiday spent abroad or even a foreign word you just love because of how it sounds or the literal translation.

I choose to use some french words on my layout for the mood of the day and used the words in each of my clusters. I finished off a package of Dear Lizzy puffy stickers when making the layout using the words, the & and the hot air balloon. After looking up the meanings of each word I thought this set of photos were the best use for the words :) Happy Anniversary to us! I enjoyed using lots of the yellow that was in my kit: Summer Fun and I still got lots of this kit to play with yet this month and probably next month yet :)

Purple Asparagus LO for Sketch n Scrap challenge

  Good Morning and welcome :) The middle of July already! We'll be off on vacation next week hopefully that doesn't go nearly as fast! lol. Now on to the Sketch N Scrap challenge for the day. A wonderful sketch from Lisa to play with today.

This is what I created with it:

 

 Used papers from my May counterfeit kit: What's Cooking for this layout :) The background paper was a specific choice as it had asparagus bundles on it and who doesn't love an old Basic Grey paper :) I backed my photos with a purple cardstock and then used browns for the rest of the layout. It was great to feature this from the garden this year and to see it without the green asparagus too.

Celebrate Happy Birthday card for Sketch N Scrap challenge

 Good morning and welcome to the 1st card sketch over at Sketch N Scrap challenge blog. I just loved this card sketch from Stacy and used it for a birthday card fir my Grandson's Birthday. 

This is what I created with it:

Lots of color for this card and some sparkle too. I used all scraps to make the front of the card and more of the cupcake paper went in to the inside of the card. CKC - July 2021 Kit Reveal - Summer Fun

 Good morning and welcome :) after and eventful night of no power and can now get my blog post done :) lol teaches me not to procrastinate so much! July, wow did June go by quick. So I'm ready to scrap and my kit proves it :) So lets see what the inspiration is 1st. You should have arrived here from Misty's blog I'm excited to see what she has curated being her 1st kit as a master forger! Let's welcome our newest forgers too!

Lisa is our host this month and this is the kit she chose for us to be inspired by. Welcome to Our Guest Designer this month, the delightful Antonia.

This month, I was excited to pick our inspiration from a kit club that's been around for a long time and yet, we've never picked it before. I've always been a big admirer of the products and kits that Kelly Purkey has curated over the years and she recently rebranded and renamed her business to the totally apt "Paper Person" - love it!

I've picked out the April 2021 New Episode kit and I think you are going to love it!

It includes products from the Buenos Dias collection by new American Crafts designer Obed Marshall which is so pretty and summery and full of sunny vibes, not to mention great Spanish expressions. 

The kit itself focuses on TV viewing or activities/hobbies which I think is an interesting twist for us all and could be a focus for your kit or embellishments. But it really doesn't need to be as the papers, colours and patterns are universal enough to take in any direction you like!

Out of this kit my 1st thought and what I was drawn to was the TV! Hey I knew I had a 6x6 paper pad that had TVs in it so that is where my kit began

So most of my color choices came from this paper pad, but with the inspirational kit and the clean lines Pinkfresh Studio came to mind and I knew my kit would have lots of that in it
