Day 2-Gingerbread House-Creative Cutting Challenge

Good Morning and welcome to Day 2 of the Christmas Days on my blog. Today I'm one of the designers for Creative Cutting Challenge. Just some very simple rules to enter this challenge.  
You MUST use a SVG or similiar electronic cutting file in your project.  CRICUT CARTRIDGE ONLY ENTRIES ARE NOT ELIGIBLE.  Please make sure that you mention somewhere in your post what part of your project was created with a cutting file. That's it so we hope you'll join in for the fun.

The inspiration of this card came from an Etsy card I saw. It seems blogger won't let me link up the post of it on Etsy.
I created the gingerbread card using the cut from The Creative Pointe's GINGERBREAD SET.  This is a great cut and can be used for so many different ways.
 
I wanted to make a fun shape card with this set so I brought the file into the silhouette software and made it into a shape card:

I've been taking a class with Jessica Sprague on Silhouette Basics class, so this is what I learned in the 1st class was how to replicate a cut and you can mirror it then just group together and weld, easy peasy once you know where to do it. 
From there it was just putting the pieces on the mat, making them into cut files and cut. So the shadow came from dark brown cardstock, the card is from kraft cardstock and I cute the other pieces from white textured card stock and red glitter card stock (used an old blade and cut at 8 on the cameo and it sliced it like it was butter). I popped up the candy piece that was attached to the roof and added green sequins from my stash. 
The inspiration card had a Gingerbread Man so I cut that file out too:

Here he is I used the same cardstocks with the inclusion of red cardstock and red sequins. Now he needed a place to go and the one place I found to put him was on the inside of the card:

This is how my shape card opens, this is where I put the little man with a sentiment stamped with momento tuxedo black ink with CTMH Very Merry Christmas stamp set, found the perfect green cut in my stash drawer to hold the stamp. Added some stickers and some white sequins.

Now the card is ready to go and get mailed to someone special, maybe my sister-in-law spending the winter in Florida. I was glad to have access to some fantastic cuts from Creative Pointe and check out her store for some cuts of your own to purchase or better yet link up a card here for a chance to win some files from the store.
