We've gotten some snow but I know other parts of the states have gotten alot of snow. This is my last post for Card A Day Blog this year and the theme was timely, with snow in the forecast for Saturday. This was one of my first cards I ever swapped with the local girls, I learned a new technique with this one
The dark blue strips were wet embossed with the snowflake cuttlebug folder ans then embossed with blue embossing powder, it gives a bit of a shiny look to the cardstock, the stripe was cut at 1 X 3.75 and it was layered on lighter blue cardstock that was cut at 1.5" X 4". The snowman was stamped with French Blue Ink and it was something I had received from a friend when she was getting rid of her stamps, I think it's a Stampin Up stamp. It was stamped on white cardstock cut at 3" X 2.75" and layered on that same blue cut at 3.5" X 3.25". the Let it Snow stamp is from a Christmas clear stamp I got that is from Scrappy Cat and was stamped with the same ink as the snowman. This was stamped on white cardstock and cut out with the Classic squares-small from spellbinders and I added dimension to that with the swiss dots cuttlebug embossing folder and then layered on snowflake paper die cut with the scalloped squares small. Added 3 small punched snowflakes, I'm thinking it's a fiskars punch to finish off the card.
Thanks for stopping by and seeing the view from my little corner of the word ans stop back later this afternoon to see who won the 100 blog follower giveaway :)
Perfect card for up here--we've gotten a TON of snow already!!
