This month's counterfeit kit inspiration comes from Studio Calico's Pop Art kit:
One that is a bit different than my own style so I kept it to a minimal amount to play with this month and I also still have 2 kits from last month that I didn't have alot of time to play with so figuring I can get at some of those kits too.
I started my kit with 2 papers from the same paper pad to get me going. When I seen the ferns in the kit in those color I knew I had a paper similiar to that with leaves on it so when I got that I also noticed the reddish orange paper that seem to fit well with the color of the kit,
so these 2 papers guided most of my choices of the rest of the papers in my kit other than trying to stay within the element of the inspirational kit itself
Here is the papers to my kit: Since it's a heavy harvest month this month the name of the kit is: Garden of Earthly Delights
I brought in a bold floral and a soft floral, some blocks, some dots and circles, graphics and finished it off with some word papers. Scrapbooking is a Garden of Earthly Delights
The Studio Calico Pop Art Kits have four kits comprising I tried to take a bit from each:
I brought in Project Life cards: Some I made when I first found out about project life, some are from the Honey kit, Jade kit and from a Chalkboard kit (from Me & My big ideas I think). I also added a DCWV mat stack (I have lots of these and would love to get some used up so a different one each month to get them in the mix) this one had more of the colors and florals of the kit. Also added the 6X6 pad for the same reason. If I don't mix them in they won't ever get used up :)
I pulled Alphas: Some large with light blue in it like the kit and some small like in the planner kit. I pulled all the alphas I had in the light blue.
I thought I could forge the Alpha blocks they had in the kit with the large alphas I had that was in last month's kit that I brought back into this month's kit. The hash tag I'll have to cut out with the cameo.
The lower section of stamps the one on the left is similar to what they had in the planner kit and the other one is just cause I wanted to use it :)
The embellishments: has some rhinestones, some enamel dots, some washi, some die cuts I found in my stash, some puffy stickers and chipboard stickers, paper flowers and sticker flowers and a sandwich bag full of odds and ends. (some bottle caps in that bag to decide what I'm doing with it)
As I was clearing off my desk to make room for my gathering of paper for the kit this was my pile. As I looked at it thought it would make a cute card or a fantastic start to a scrapbook layout so this was added to this month's kit to be used up in one way or another.
Go Tina! What a lush kit! I love that you've moved some elements from August's Kits into this one for September. I find myself doing that quite often if I don't manage to fully use them up! Enjoy x
ReplyDeleteBravo! Your kit feels robust & it's mostly paper, as are the SC kits. Bright & lively :-)
ReplyDeleteTina it's great that even though the SC kit isn't at all your style, you found something in it to inspire you. You definitely have a lot to play with this month - I like all the stamps you added. Hope you have fun working with your kit!
ReplyDeleteAwesome kit Tina! This was definitely a challenge for all counterfeiting the Pop Art Kit. Love those Alpha Stamps you picked out.
