LOAD Day8 here with a color prompt. The Canadian flag was the featured one for color: Red. White and a Maple leaf. The first thing that came to mind was the maple leaf :) I remembered a photo card that had Zachary on it playing in the leaves and that is where my layout took off:
I used the sketch challenge over at SNC for my layout inspirtaion. Going with the color prompt I found mainly red and white papers to work with, did have to add a bit of that red/gold paper with the maple leaves in the upper right hand corner that I knew I had in my stash. for detailing the maple leaves in the picture.
The front of the photo card :) What a great picture of Zachary, just pure joy on his face <3
I scanned, enlarged and printed out the back of the card for a 2nd photo, a family photo and the holiday message.
My personal journaling in red :) Receiving the card was the best gift to receive during the holiday season for grandparents and so glad I could showcase here on the layout. I used mainly my the counterfeit kit I made in November for December scrapping. Added lots of fun bling to the layout too for the design triangle effect.
Thank you for stopping by :)
Oh Tina, I love how you took this Christmas card and turned it into a layout! It is just perfect. I love the pic of your grandson in the leaves, how sweet! Love too that the card also had a family picture with it. Great job with this challenge. Hugs, Brenda
