Good Things in 3's a Use Your Stuff Challenge

Hi you all :) Karrie is the hostess for this week's challenge over at Use Your Stuff Blog and she is challenging us to use "Good Things in 3's"
 - 3 photos (or 3 phrases if you are a cardmaker)
 - 3 colours (black and white - free)
 - 3 embellishments (use as many of each you want as long as you have 3 different types)
And have fun!
I created a layout for this challenge. I used 3 photos, the colors: Red, Green and Brown, the embellishments: red & green sequins, wood veneer hearts and lots of rubons.
What a fun challenge :) I had lots of fun putting together this layout. The pictures are from June 11, 2013 (this year the strawberries did produce to many and we ended up tilling the plants under and just starting another patch). I used the sketch over at Sketches in Thyme for my layout inspiration:
It was a great sketch to use for the photos and for this challenge :)
I used papers and embellishments from my current counterfeit kit: Summer Daze for the layout. The Basic Grey rubons were featured in a previous kit and found it's way into the kit recently :)
I was glad to have the I (heart) Summer collection in my kit this month, that is where the bingo card came from. Seasonal fruit we love to have strawberries in the house fresh but we love to freeze a bit of summer too :) I'm also using this layout from inspiration over at Whimsical Musings #88 Inspired by Seasonal Food (so many inspiring prompts over at Whimsical Musings :)
My journaling card and my background paper came from the Garden Harvest recollections paper pad and the paper is all Kraft paper, perfect for the chosen brown color. Thank you for stopping by today and I look forward to seeing your creation for this fun challenge and keep checking back with Use Your Stuff blog this summer lots of fun challenges in the line up :)

We Are Railfans

Lasting Memories last challenge for this month's theme All About Me and this week's challenge is I Love To.... Now there is things I love to do, go to new places and see new things. I enjoy doing them with my husband and we have been checking out alot about the railroads in our area including the museums:
This was interesting to find out that we were Railfans, a nickname for us :)
The left side of the layout pictures of various places we have been.
The right side of the layout has that cool postcard and pictures taken at the house.

Closeups of the layout:

The pictures here are my husband's collection and also a few of the trains that go past the house. It's cool to be so close to the tracks :) When I first met my husband and moved in it took some getting used to sleeping with the trains going by bu after a couple of months it just becomes a normal thing like background noise :)
My journaling :) I had fun creating this layout and something we do love.............
I look forward to seeing what you all create and link up over at Lasting Memories

Happy Birthday for a Funday Friday Challenge

Hello :) If you are looking for the Counterfeit Kit Challenge June Blog Hop you can go here for that post.

Hello once again today :) It's Funday Friday over at Jo's Scrap Shack today's theme is anything goes and our sponsors are Little Blue Button Stamps and Limited Runs Digital Stamps. I created a clean & simple Happy Birthday card:
I used the Flower with Lady Bug digi stamp on my card from Limited Runs Digital Stamps
I enjoyed coloring this stamp with my bic markers and some wink of stella glitter sliver and clear glitter too. A simple Happy Birthday sentiment to finish off the front of the card with a recollections punch used for the border.
The inside of the card:
I like to keep sentiments printed and ready for use in cards and come across this one :) so I punched it with my scallop punch and added a yellow punch circle on the back of the scallop. The mat is from my current counterfeit kit: Summer Daze.

A Layout for the June Counterfeit Kit Challenge Blog Hop

Good Morning and welcome to June Counterfeit Kit Challenge Blog Hop. If you came from the creative Natalie's blog then your on the right track :) but if not you may want to start at The Counterfeit Kit Challenge Blog and get on board with the first stop on this month's blog hop. This is always a fun blog hop showing off the ladies creations from their current counterfeit kit. This month, you can choose to share any project you have made with your Counterfeit Kit Challenge kit which you have not shared on your blog yet. You project could be related to any of the three challenges or maybe just something you made with your kit. As a reminder, here are the three challenges this month:
I chose Challenge #1 Choose an Inspiration Board from Burnetts Boards. I chose Rainbow Love board:
Rainbow Wedding
For inspiration for y layout I think the only color I'm missing on my layout is purple :) I loved the hearts and I added texture to my layout from the inspiration of the ribbon but I used a white lace ribbon instead.
I also used the sketch over at Sketches in Thyme Sketch #202:
June 1-7, Sketch #202
I used the heart doily for the smaller circle and I used the journaling card for the larger cluster of flowers. My photo collage is the larger photo in the sketch. It was a fun sketch to use :) The layout also came about from a prompt in a Facebook Group I belong to:  Teen Hearthrob :) You all remember your 1st one?
Leif Garret was y 1st one :) I have fun using my Summer Daze kit for the variety of hearts that was in the kit plus I got to use some of the simple stories I (Heart) Summer collections for the lettering for the title and
the journal card and balloon stickers.
The gold glitter stickers fall under the Challenge #3: Challenge #3 - Everything Old Is New Again
as that is one of the oldest things in my kit :) I bought those when I first started scrappin from my local scrapbook store. I've been working at getting them used up :)
Thanks for stopping by today and enjoy the rest of the blog hop. Your next stop is over at Roxanne's blog
I know it's gonna be cool! Check out what all the hop members are creating :) Have a fantastic day.

Love to Bake! a Lasting Memories Scrapbook Layout Challege

This weeks challenge at Lasting Memories is to tell us what you love about yourself.
Go ahead and brag a bit, I know I am. These are the kind of stories you want to leave for future generations:)
I certainly enjoy doing many things, but what I love most about myself is my baking abilities :) Something that I started to learn at home with Mom, enhance my skills through Jr. High and Sr. High School with Home Economics and Cooking classes and now with the internet there are loads of great recipes to try out there :) I have a few favorites that are a go to if I want to have a dessert made quickly, but I also like to challenge myself and find new recipes that then become more favorites :)
A few of my favorite baking goodies :) Apple and Pumpkin pies, Coconut cake, and new favorite Strawberry Cake with Strawberry Cream Cheese icing, and a variety of cookies at Christmas time with Sand Tarts being the yearly classic.
I found a sketch to use for my layout:

I found this PageMaps sketch on google search for a 4 photo scrapbook sketch :) Really like the layout of the photos so went with it.
I had fun creating the layout using my current counterfeit kit: Supper Daze and also using Whimsical Musings: WM#142 inspired by going round in circles, using many circle embellishments on the layout.
Also the challenge over at Scrappin N Chattin yahoo group for the 3 Ring Circus challenge of using at least 3 circles on my layout. I count 9 altogether.
I found this fun recipe card in my Recipe/Kitchen stash box and though this was a good place to use that :)
A fun Home Economics diecut to add to this fun cluster. Thank you for stopping by today and I look forward to see your creation for this fun challenge.

You did IT! Sketches in Thyme Project Life Style challenge

Hello! Today I have the newest challenge over at Sketches in Thyme Project Life Style blog Sketch #31. This is the card I made from the sketch:
Our Gradaughter's graduation photo with her dad, John (Dave's oldest son) and mom, Melissa :) and this is the sketch I used to create the card:

This is such a fun sketch that it can be used for so many ways and as I'm the 1st DT to show off the sketch you can see other inspiration all week with this sketch over at Sketches in Thyme Project Life Style blog
This is the layout I created with that card :) I pulled that fun green triangle paper from my current counterfeit kit Summer Daze and the CTMH paper ChalkIt Up for the rest of the papers as it is a school theme paper line.
I made one adjustment to the card and that was the outlining around the letters to bring them out more from the paper something that I have learned from May Flaum's classes she does often. But the card made a nice date block for the layout and emphasized that picture with of Amber with her parents
The poem I found on scrapbook.com and modified it a bit for what I wanted for my layout. I also added our feelings to the layout too :) We are very proud of our granddaughter <3
The top section I outlined the letters of the title and added that fun frame around Amber on the stage. This layout was pure fun to make and I think I captured the excitement of the day very well on the layout. Thank you for stopping by and seeing what I'm up too in my little corner of the world and I hope to see your creation linked up over at Sketches in Thyme Project Life Style blog. Check out the prize below, I know this is a stamp set I want to get too:
This month's prize is this fantastic stamp. The Long Way Home. You have until June 30 to add your link!
We can't wait to see what you create!

Bases Loaded for a Lasting Memories Challenge

Good Morning :) It's a new challenge over at Lasting Memories Scrapbook Challenge blog :) The theme is All About You and this week's theme is "Let me take a Selfie" I'm still in training when it comes to selfies but a few months after taking this picture come to find out that I can see the selfie as it's being taken by a switch on the camera so it's been getting better. But first we have to scrap the old ones :)
I had a blast making this double page layout :) I created this during LOAD216 Day 26 Landmark prompt: this is one of our newest landmarks in Williamsport, PA
Bases Loaded is the newest Landmark in our city. It was put together for the 75th Anniversary of Little League Baseball. Out town feels very honored to have this here a way to show Carl Stotz that we appreciate what he started, shame he wasn't alive to see it unfolding, and the rift that he had with LL later didn't come to an end, But, by the way of his daughter it is starting to change and Little League is embracing Carl Stotz by adding this and another statue of him up at the Volunteer field. I made sure to get over today and a picture with Carl Stotz. :) Through our family we have a very special bond with Little League, my Dad playing for Jumbo Pretzel on of the original teams. But that is another story for another day :)
Yes me trying to take a selfie :) I am getting better at it :) LOL This is bench they have that you can sit and get your picture taken with Carl Stotz (a statue of him) so that was fun :)
The left side of the layout :) Lots of photos and lots of journaling about how the landmark came about.
The right side of the layout :)
I pulled this information for my journaling from an article on the internet about the landmark.
There was so much information that I put some on each page of the layout.
A little bit about what I feel about the landmark. This will go in to my Williamsport Album. With the warmer weather taking place I would like to get out and walk about Williamsport and get pictures of some of the local history and get it in the album, being raised here there is alot I remember and alot that has changed already, but looking forward to adding my memories to it :)
Thank you for stopping by today and I look forward to seeing what you all create for this new challenge of the week :)

Happy Father Day for Funday Friday challenge

Good morning :) I hope you have a fantastic week! Mine has started with a new job as to why the blog has been quiet this week :) Will have to look into scheduling posts on Sunday and Monday for the week ahead :) Today's Funday Friday over at Jo's Scrap Shack and this week's theme is "Father's Day" Our sponsors are Bugaboo and Little Blue Button Stamps:
I used Little Blue Buttons:  Transparency/paper print clocks (I printed on cardstock) for my card background, it prints real nice and I adjusted the size and place it on the paper where I wanted with photo shop elements :) But it comes in a size that is very easily to be printed right out with out any adjustments.
I added a CTMH stamp and scraps from my Summer Daze counterfeit kit and word stickers from last month's kit I just brought over to this month's kit.
The inside of the card I brought is some of the same papers from the front and added the stamp from CTMH to bring the clock theme into the inside of the card and now it's ready for a note :) Thank you for stopping by today to see what I'm up to in my corner of the world :)
