Innocent a Heritage Layout

Good Morning, hmmm running a bit late with this post :) This is for this week's challenge over at Use Your Stuff a Heritage Challenge. The challenge: A photo that is older than 20 years, a piece of memorabilia or ephemera older than 10 years, or maybe document a memory  you have of something longer than 5 years ago!
Oh and USE AS MUCH other STUFF AS YOU CAN!
What does heritage mean to you?  Old photos or old paper, or new supplies that look old ~ I don't feel that there should be too many restrictions on creativity and creating.... But please explain in your blog post how it fits the theme.
My layout is a picture of me that is 50 years old, I was 4 in the picture so that fits the criteria of the challenge.
LOAD1016 Day 18: Today’s main course is the big picture. Go big on your photo
So I have these pictures of me that were in frames that were around the old house when I was growing up. I have 2 more yet to scrap. So for this layout I went out of my monthly counterfeit and grabbed a couple of paper that matched the theme of the photo. But I did use a PL card that I cute to use for the journaling from the paper pad that I had in my current counterfeit kit: Flower Power. I made copy of what was on the back of the picture and added that to the layout. The metal word strip for the title, some fun ribbon for the other photo corner that didn't have a photo corner and the year.
The journaling is my thoughts behind what Mom may have had this picture taken for.
The copy of the writing on the back of the picture, nice to have Mom's handwriting on the layout
This was also on the back of the picture. That studio is not in business anymore
Thank you for stopping by today, got lots of posting to do over the next couple of days and some LoAD recaps of layouts I did over the weekend.

  3. Wow, you got a whole lot of information and history into this fun page. The large photo (and it's pretty cute!) really catches your eye and you've done a great job of decorating the page to match but not take over. The inclusion of the writing from the back of the photo is inspired and the combination of that with your own thoughts is great! Sorry I'm late commenting - trying to catch up one some of what I'Ve missed
