Great Grandpa layout for a Lasting Memories challenge

Welcome to the last challenge for this month of challenges over at Lasting Memories. The theme this month was June Holiday Insights and it's been fun seeing those weird holidays that aren't the normal. Here is another one for this week's challenge is June 25th is Log Cabin Day - Log Cabin Day brings us back to a quieter, simpler, more rugged era. Life was rustic and simple. Make your layout a bit rustic and simple. Maybe add some torn edges to your layout, use neutral colors, or a woodsy look to your layout.
I did a torn edge on my layout of my husband seeing his Great-Grandson for the 1st time :) The layout itself wasn't to rustic, but the plaid background is my husband as most of the time he is wearing flannels shirts other than these pictures :)
The 3 photos were from Waylon's 1st Birthday party and it was great to see such great interaction with Dave and Waylon. The pictures were taken outside and the location was the Grandaughter's house that looked like a log cabin inside.
This layout also came about from LOAD517 Day 18:
Prompt:
The Godfather – 1972
Although there are many unsavoury actions taking place in this film, the one thing the mafia holds dear is the sentiment surrounding family. How is your family important to you?
As you can see in alot of the layouts I do they usually have family in them, family is very important to us :) This weekend we are up in NY celebrating our Grandson's Graduation. The 1st time my husband got to see his 1st Great-Grandchild. The interaction was great that day. Yes this is our family legacy we see it through the kids, grandkids and Greatgrandkids
Love this photo of Waylon and Dave together. I used last month's counterfeit kit: Nature's Party for my layout
 Title of the layout
Lots of word stickers to help with the journaling. Thank you for stopping by today and I look forward to seeing your creation over at Lasting Memories Scrapbook Challenge blog.
