Happy Holidays card for a Sketch N Scrap challenge

 Hello and welcome, it's been a bit cooler and less humid here in PA this weekend. Little League World Series is in full swing right now just up the road from me :) It's been a good 1st half of the weekend. Welcome to the 2nd card sketch of August over at Sketch N Scrap challenge blog. A fantastic sketch from Lori 

I made another Christmas card from the sketch:

Double Page LO for Counterfeit Kit challenge

   Good morning and welcome :) Here's the 2nd challenge of the month over at Counterfeit Kit Challenge blog. Lisa is our host this month and her challenge is:

Challenge #2 - Happy (Summer) Days!

Be inspired by the Happy Days die cuts featuring sunshine, citrus fruits, flowers, rainbows, butterflies to make a project about the happy days of summer OR sunny times. 

I did a double page layout for my inspiration for this challenge as Happy Summer Days for me is when I'm traveling seeing new places :) So a goal this month is to finish up some photos from a trip to Stoystown, PA 

A barn from the 1830s was one of the feature buildings at the Somerset Historical Center
Even the road getting to the barn felt authentic. Used my Sunshine Happy kit with a bunch of butterfies from this kit I used some on this layout along with some florals that for me says Summer :) Using Day 15 cutfile from the 31 Days of Cutfiles for my title element on this side of the double page.
This side of the double page features the tools used in the barn during that time period, more butterflies and another floral are features on this side with my journaling about the barn. Using Day 16 cutfile for the corner that has tools use today, but there are tools there that are from yesterday too :) I used a Scrapbook Generations sketch for my design inspiration.

Hey Dude LO for Sketch N Scrap challenge

Good Morning and welcome. Here we are in the middle of August, there's been alot of rain this summer,hopefully it chills out a bit with Little League about ready to start in our part of the world.

We got a fun challenge over at Sketch N Scrap for the day. This sketch was created by Lori

this is the layout I created with this sketch for inspiration:
Using both my stash and my current counterfeit kit Sunshine Happy for the papers, also playing along with 31 days of cutfiles I was able to use this fun cutfile with this picture from the last day of our trip that year. Trying to work through some trips this year and making a goal to get this one finished up this week.

CKC - August 2023 Kit Reveal - Sunshine Happy

Welcome to my blog and happy August, the end of dog days of summer are upon us and we are at the moment enjoying more comfortable temperatures! I'm just glad to have a few days off from work and play with my kit :) It's the 1st of the month and that means a new inspiration kit over at Counterfeit Kit Challenge blog, you should have arrived here from Tara's blog I'm looking forward to checking out her kit and see what inspired her. Welcome our Guest Designer - a dear old friend of CKC & former Master Forger - Clair Rigby!

Master Forger of Ceremonies Lisa here, your Counterfeit Kit Challenge host for the month of August. Lisa has chosen another new kit club for August - this time from the European online shop Pink and Paper. It's run by Flóra who has designed and worked with some of the big names including designing the latest Pinkfresh Studio collection, Lovely Blooms. Her kit club is a little different - it's a private membership which includes two online live workshops to create pages together using the kit elements - and of course I had to give a go! I love it when something is coming out of my corner of the world! Apart from the fact that I think new kit clubs should be applauded in general, I think this is an interesting mix of colours and motifs as well as being a kit that can be stretched as you need it - stronger colours can be picked out for colder seasons, lots of florals and summer colours for us in the middle of summer.

A sweet summer kit with the blues, the checks, the yellows, some pink and even some purple. When I seen the inspiration I knew I would be mixing up some Pinkfresh Studio with some 49&Market.

Some stickers that I want to finish up this month and thought they look good with this kit plus some CTMH stickers that just about matched up in color with the 49&Market Gardenia collection. Some Prima butterflies and chipboard:
To round out the end with some subdue colors in the 49&Market Tranquility collection for some neutrals and softer colors

That's it that is my kit :) As I'm playing along with 31 Days of Cutfiles so this gives me plenty to go with those cutfiles.
