Jo's Scrap Shack and start at the beginning.

Here is my project for this hop:
The card's background is made using 3 Twenty Crafts stamp set Winter Wonderland.

The background inspiration came from this picture I found when I googled New Year 2014, loved the whole snowflake effect for it

The card base and the square is from the cardstock pack Seaside (the paper co.) the stamped layer iis from DCWV Stack 8 and the scalloped background is from my scrap pile. I used the Spellbinders Classic Square/Scallop Small for the sentiment block. The sentiment was generated from Word-Script MT Bold and Braggadocio fonts and the 2014 was also stickled with Diamond sticles for the glitter effect (came out almost a goldish color) added the wine glasses from a fiscars stamp set and the noisemakers for a cut out of an old scrapbooking 2008 calendar day sheet (you'll see more of this use this coming year :)

Let it Snow

Good Morning and welcome to my blog. Today I am the designer over at Card A Day Blog and the theme this week is snow:
We've gotten some snow but I know other parts of the states have gotten alot of snow. This is my last post for Card A Day Blog this year and the theme was timely, with snow in the forecast for Saturday. This was one of my first cards I ever swapped with the local girls, I learned a new technique with this one
The dark blue strips were wet embossed with the snowflake cuttlebug folder ans then embossed with blue embossing powder, it gives a bit of a shiny look to the cardstock, the stripe was cut at 1 X 3.75 and it was layered on lighter blue cardstock that was cut at 1.5" X 4". The snowman was stamped with French Blue Ink and it was something I had received from a friend when she was getting rid of her stamps, I think it's a Stampin Up stamp. It was stamped on white cardstock cut at 3" X 2.75" and layered on that same blue cut at 3.5" X 3.25". the Let it Snow stamp is from a Christmas clear stamp I got that is from Scrappy Cat and was stamped with the same ink as the snowman. This was stamped on white cardstock and cut out with the Classic squares-small from spellbinders and I added dimension to that with the swiss dots cuttlebug embossing folder and then layered on snowflake paper die cut with the scalloped squares small. Added 3 small punched snowflakes, I'm thinking it's a fiskars punch to finish off the card.

Thanks for stopping by and seeing the view from my little corner of the word ans stop back later this afternoon to see who won the 100 blog follower giveaway :)

Day 12-Scallop Tree Card

Good Morning and I want to Thank all the people that left comments for my 100 blogger giveaway! As per the post of this giveaway, today is the day I let random.org choose the winner, tomorrow it will be announce. You will see two posts tomorrow, a Card A Day Blog-Winter theme post and a Post announcing the winner's name of the giveaway. For this 12th day I have the last card I made at the class of cards I made:
My local gal can really come up with some creative cards. This tree is made with a half scallop piece that was punched out of this pretty cardstock, here is the link for the folded tree tutorial. You fold it in half (don't crease) just to get the middle of the piece. Now she had us fold it in 3 places instead of 4 that the link shows. The card starts with gray card base, then a layer of yellow that was scallop punched on one edge. The a patter paper layer. The tree is attached to a small rectangle piece and a finished up with a square piece with 2 corners clipped to make it look like a pot. Added gold stickles to decorate the tree and a fun sentiment stamped in gray ink. Easy card to make.
Stop back tomorrow to see who won the prize pack given away for the 100 blog follower giveaway......

Day 11-The Hanging Ornaments Card

Good morning all and welcome to Day 11 of my 12 days leading up to the drawing of the person that will receive the 100 blogger giveaway-to learn more about the give away you need to go to this post, become a follower and make a comment on this post. Today is it, the last day to leave a comment on the 100 blogger post. Over the next few days I'll be showing more of the cards I had made in a class at my local's home/shop:
This was a fun and interesting card to do. On a white card base is the dark green cardstock that was first embossed with cuttlebug's candy cane embossing folder and then die cute in variety of places with Stampin Up Holiday Ornament Framelets and then stamped with the Ornament Keepsake stamps, adding some diamond stickles to the inked stamps, gives it a nice sparkly look. Add some sparkly twine to hang the ornaments on the tree (green background) tape to the back of the card stock add a ribbon and a bow and you have a super cute card. The green backgound is popped up to give depth to the stamped images. A sentiment from the same stamps, stamped in green on kraft cardstock that was punched with Modern Label punch.

Good morning all and welcome to Day 10 of my 12 days leading up to the drawing of the person that will receive the 100 blogger giveaway-to learn more about the give away you need to go to this post, become a follower and make a comment on this post. It's getting closer :) Over the next few days I'll be showing more of the cards I had made in a class at my local's home/shop:
My local girl she finds some of the cutest ideas for cards:
This is a star shaped card made to look like Santa's face. All the white pieces except the mustache was dry embossed with Cuttlebug's folder divine swirls. Red triangle for the hat, and white parenthesis bracket for the mustache. Some peach color pieces for the face inked with red rouge ink and some Viva black pearls for the eyes. She has a pazzles so I'm assuming that the pieces may have come from there. Cute card.

Day 9-The Ornament Card

Good morning all and welcome to Day 9 of my 12 days leading up to the drawing of the person that will receive the 100 blogger giveaway-to learn more about the give away you need to go to this post, become a follower and make a comment on this post. It's getting closer :) Over the next few days I'll be showing more of the cards I had made in a class at my local's home/shop:
This is one of my favorites from the class. A white card base with a layer of pattern paper. The main attraction on this card is the Spellbinders 2011 Heirloom Ornament cuts is a variety of sizes each layered with foam tape to pop it up and give dimension to the ornament. The sentiment is added to the card with 2 copper brads and the a die-cut swirls for extra texture. Sentiment not sure of the stamp set but was stamped in gold ink. Just a sweet card, love the new paper that she has in stock too. Got a few pieces for my own tag making this year or maybe some cards for next year.

Day 8-Leaves and Berries

Good morning all and welcome to Day 8 of my 12 days leading up to the drawing of the person that will receive the 100 blogger giveaway-to learn more about the give away you need to go to this post, become a follower and make a comment on this post.
I've been busy making tags, but not ready to show here yet so today I have another card I had made in a class at my local's home/shop:
I just love the simplicity of this card, it's on a white card base, 2 layers to hold the stamped image and the embossed mark on both white layers is traced around with a red pen. Not sure if the stamped images are a Close to my Heart stamp or a Stampin up stamp for both the image and the sentiment. Both die-cuts are spellbinders, ribbon going through the sentiment die cut and attached to the gold background, used a corner punch for the corners of the gold layer and liquid pearls for the berries in gold. An easy one to mass produce for to hand out at Christmas if your into that sort of way of doing cards for your family, I just love to do cards so most of my family gets a different one :)

Very easy card to make abut makes such an impacted. The card base is purple, then add the while background that was embossed (sorry don't know the embossing folder). Stamp the sentiment one of Close To My Hearts stamps cut around the stamped sentiment. Punch out the border and attach to the back of the white piece, apply the whole thing to the cardbase. Then stickle the embossed images outline and you have a really nice card. The reason for the season, we were all blessed one Christmas morning.

Day 6-Just About Time-CADB post

Good morning all and welcome to Day 6 of my 12 days leading up to the drawing of the person that will receive the 100 blogger giveaway-to learn more about the give away you need to go to this post, become a follower and make a comment on this post., I have a card I made for Card A Day Blog the theme this week in New Years.
Civilizations around the world have been celebrating the start of each new year for at least four millennia. In the United States, the most iconic New Year’s tradition is the dropping of a giant ball in New York City's Times Square at the stroke of midnight. Millions of people around the world watch the event, which has taken place almost every year since 1907. Common traditions include attending parties, eating special New Year’s foods, making resolutions for the new year and watching fireworks displays. One of our customs is singing songs to welcome the new year, including the ever-popular "Auld Lang Syne"also to kiss the one you love at midnight.
This is what helped me come up with my card today, the time to ring in a New Year. I chose the cricut cartridge Celebrate With Flourish to create the die cuts for my card. I did the clock and hat at 3" and the sentiment at 2". All cuts came from scraps I had on hand and the card base came from the cardstock pack DCWV-Collage Musings Stack, spiced it up with silver glitter (Studio G style sticles) and few stars for the stars in the sky while watching the ball drop :) I wish you all A Happy New Year!

Day 5- Easy Holly Card

Good morning all and for Day 5 of my 12 days leading up to the drawing of the person that will receive the 100 blogger giveaway-to learn more about the give away you need to go to this post, become a follower and make a comment on this post., I have a card I made at my local scrapbook gal's home/shop this past November.
Sorry for the bad picture :) You got a slight preview of the other cards. This card was so fun to make and so easy. I took a class of 8 cards and it's actually just coming in the shop and putting them together and chatting with all the ladies.
This card has some of the new product on it that she had gotten in (the green dotted cardstock), and of course I had to get some of it in. The holly leaves came from a punch that she had where we trimmed off the extra leaf. Stickles for the berries. Border created from a Martha Stewart scallop doily punch (this is my favorite punch) and a lace border. All of it put on red cardstock card base. Super easy and still looks good.
In a week and we'll know who wins the giveaway, don't forget to join in for a chance to win. Stop back tomorrow for Day 6 of my 12 days......

Day 4-Happy Holidays Card

Hello and so sorry for the delay today, Wednesdays I have Bible Study and with Thanksgiving I got a little behind in my Study so I had to catch up before I could post, so since I'm in hurry I'll bring back one of my favorite cards this was early in my card making and I was learning a new technique:

I enjoyed doing this card, I worked through a new technique on this Double Embossing it was a fun technique to learn and it didn't turn out to bad.

Happy Holidays card the snowflakes were cut from the Holiday Cakes cartridge. It and the snowflake border was cut from the DCWV Christmas Combo pack. The embossed blue card stock was done with double embossing. Dry embossed with cuttlebug snowflake folder and heat embossed with clear embossing powder. The stamp was one I received from a friend of mine.

Day 3-Tis the Season to Sparkle

Good morning all and for Day 3 of my 12 days leading up to the drawing of the person that will receive the 100 blogger giveaway-to learn more about the give away you need to go to this post, become a follower and make a comment on this post., I have a card I made at Close To My Heart club this past November.
This was a super fun class when we made this card! It sold me on getting the Sparkle workshop so I can get this fun paper and a cute stamp set too. We made the background using from the monthly stamp set one of their subway stamp using Ruby ink to give a tone on tone look. The tree base was cut out of I think Artiste cartridge, but not absolutely sure, then 1" strips punched with a scallop punch and all the pieces staked up on the base to give the looks of layers, just so easy! Added a bow to the tree top and the sentiment in the ruby ink popped up on the card with a couple of rhinestones for some bling. That's it just that easy and you can do it with any choice of background paper and scallop punch.

Day 2-Gingerbread House-Creative Cutting Challenge

Good Morning and welcome to Day 2 of the Christmas Days on my blog. Today I'm one of the designers for Creative Cutting Challenge. Just some very simple rules to enter this challenge.
You MUST use a SVG or similiar electronic cutting file in your project.  CRICUT CARTRIDGE ONLY ENTRIES ARE NOT ELIGIBLE.  Please make sure that you mention somewhere in your post what part of your project was created with a cutting file. That's it so we hope you'll join in for the fun.
The inspiration of this card came from an Etsy card I saw. It seems blogger won't let me link up the post of it on Etsy.
I created the gingerbread card using the cut from The Creative Pointe's GINGERBREAD SET.  This is a great cut and can be used for so many different ways.
Gingerbread Set - Click Image to Close
I wanted to make a fun shape card with this set so I brought the file into the silhouette software and made it into a shape card:
I've been taking a class with Jessica Sprague on Silhouette Basics class, so this is what I learned in the 1st class was how to replicate a cut and you can mirror it then just group together and weld, easy peasy once you know where to do it.
From there it was just putting the pieces on the mat, making them into cut files and cut. So the shadow came from dark brown cardstock, the card is from kraft cardstock and I cute the other pieces from white textured card stock and red glitter card stock (used an old blade and cut at 8 on the cameo and it sliced it like it was butter). I popped up the candy piece that was attached to the roof and added green sequins from my stash.
The inspiration card had a Gingerbread Man so I cut that file out too:
Here he is I used the same cardstocks with the inclusion of red cardstock and red sequins. Now he needed a place to go and the one place I found to put him was on the inside of the card:
This is how my shape card opens, this is where I put the little man with a sentiment stamped with momento tuxedo black ink with CTMH Very Merry Christmas stamp set, found the perfect green cut in my stash drawer to hold the stamp. Added some stickers and some white sequins.
Now the card is ready to go and get mailed to someone special, maybe my sister-in-law spending the winter in Florida. I was glad to have access to some fantastic cuts from Creative Pointe and check out her store for some cuts of your own to purchase or better yet link up a card here for a chance to win some files from the store.
This is day 2 of my 12 days leading up to the drawing of the person that will receive the 100 blogger giveaway. To learn more about the give away you need to go to this post, become a follower and make a comment on this post.
Stop back tomorrow for Day 3 of my 12 days......

Day 1-Bringing a Gift-leading up to Dec 12

Hi you all and welcome to my blog. I was thinking with all the blogs doing 12 days of Christmas, that I would do something similar. My 12 days leads up to the drawing of the person that will receive the 100 blogger giveaway-to learn more about the give away you need to go to this post, become a follower and make a comment on this post. As I bring a gift to you this card seemed fitting to start it off:
This is a card I made for a swap-Christmas in July in 2011. I started with a white A2-card base, added some red background paper from my stash and that border that is ribbon I found at a local store thought it would be great for borders. The sentiment I'm thinking is from Stampin Up. The little snowman bringing the gift is from the cricut cartridge Jolly Holidays. This cartridge has so many fun die cuts for this time of the year. The Snowman was cut out of black cardstock, White glitter cardstock, red and yellow cardstock and then added xmas red sticles to it.

Tomorrow I will have a cute card for the Creative Cutting Challenge post of Christmas Cards, where you can link up a card that is made from the other die-cut softwares out there-not a cricut cut allowed.

Thanks for stopping by today, go and comment on the giveaway blog post and stop by over the next 12 days for more Christmas creativeness to help you with your holiday crafting.
