Hello for a challenge card

Well it's down to 2 more posts and I should be done for the night :) Thanks for hanging with me today :) I made this card for the PI crop challenge for a Mood Board Challenge:

I really liked doing this card and the challenge was fun too. After finding the needed colored items in my Feast of Fun counterfeit kit to use from the mood board I then went off to find a sketch to use for my card and I got this from Stick it Down their card sketch challenge for the month:

The sketch made for a quick card for the challenges. Hello is a die cut for a SU Hello You Thinlits dies. I used Gold Lame smooch and painted it the needed color to match the card :)

Happy Thanksgiving Card for the CCC

Hi you all, hope you had a fantastic weekend. Today for the Creative Cutting Challenge the theme is Thanksgiving. I decided to get a start on my cardmaking for the holidays ahead.

 I used the Thanksgiving Set 1:

For my card, I cut the silhouette of the pilgrims and the title from my cameo.I love how beautifully the files cut even when I size the files down. This set would also be fun for a thanksgiving layout or even some place-cards for guests at the Thanksgiving dinner. I added Happy from the Alphas from the Simple Stories Harvest Lane sticker sheet. The flowers were punched with Stampin Up Petite Petals Punch and added some gold pearls for the centers. The papers for the card all came from last month's Counterfeit Kit.

I brought in more of the punched petals for a border on the inside of the card and used sequins fr the centers so the card would close better. Now the inside is ready for a note to the recipient of the card. Have you started your Holiday card making yet? Christmas is right around the corner, not even close to being ready for that one, but getting a bit closer to being ready for Thanksgiving....

Beauty in Bloom a Funday Friday Challenge

Hi you all :) I love Fridays! It's a crafting day for me... Today I have a card that I made for the sketch challenge over at Jo's Scrap Shack. Our sponsor this week is STAMPART DESIGNS and I chose this wonderful Autumn Wagon digital stamp from her collection for my card today:

and here is the sketch:
 
 My rendition is just a bit different than the sketch but it's there :) I chose to do a 6 x 6 cardbase of CTMH kraft cardstock and used the orange polka dot paper from my current counterfeit kit for the background.

Sorry about the picture the orange dotted background paper is a bit washed out from this morning's sun. Isn't this just a beautiful digital stamp :) I colored it with my Spectrum Noir markers, added the 2 triangles to look like it was holding the doily onto the card and added some sequins  that matched the color of the lettering on the sticker I have at the bottom of the card. The doily was one I had gotten at the flea market at Penns Caves when we were there for the tractor show.
With the digital stamp you also get these extra words to use with your card. I have punched out one and added it to the opposing corner of the card:

I punched it out with my SU scallop punch and popped it up with foam tape added a gold sequin to it. To the inside:

I added 2 more word files and cut that with my creative memories circle cutter, backed it with the orange polka dot paper and then another doily from that cool find :) added some sequins and now it's ready to make somebody's day a bit more brighter.

September Counterfeit Kit Challenge Blog Hop

Hi you all and welcome to Counterfeit Kit Challenge September Blog Hop.
With a Sweet Relish scrapbook layout.
If you are coming from the amazing Lisa's blog then your right on track. The challenges this month are:

I decided to get messy and made a couple of homemade embellishments for my layout.
 

 I found that I enjoy making and creating my own embellishments occasionally and when challenged I do like to tackle a good one. I thought I would give the foil dry embossed piece that was in last month's kit, some pieces from this month's kit and grabbed a tag too. I used some Close to My Heart  create a shade paint (pearl) plus 2 inkers SU crushed curry and crumb cake and some glitter for fun. I also used some crackle paint and Crackled accents and glossy  accents just to see what would happen.

The tag ended up being the one that got special treatment with both inker colors and the glitter and made a fine place to use for a title. I found that when I get home from work and only have an hour or 2 to play this is the time to do these kind of creative things cause when I wake up it's all dried and ready to go onto the layout.
I used a sketch for my layout from Sketch N Scrap #64

I really enjoyed playing yesterday and putting this layout together.

A Sparkling Birthday Card

Happy Friday you all!  Welcome to this weeks Funday Friday challenge over at Jo's Scrap Shack. Our sponsor this week is Bugaboo,The theme this week is Shape Card:

For the shape card base I used a Lori Whitlock:  Design ID #40880 from the Silhouette store. Added a doily and that marvelous digi from Bugaboo. The candles cardstock is from the atd: Birthday Wishes pad.

 This card is just ready to sparkle up one of the girl's birthdays. I used alot of stickles to the card. Fruit Punch, Burgundy, Yellow and Silver were used throughout the cake.

 I also chalked the cake with SU chalks: Chocolate Chip. The happy birthday sentiment is from SU teeny tiny wishes stamp set I found it in my stash tray of extras and the stars scattered around was the one thing I brought in from this month's CKC and that is from Jolee's by You-Glitter Stars pack.

 On the inside I resized 2 of the bracket shape piece that came with the file to bring the candles paper to the inside and a white piece to write on. Added more of the stars and I found this sentiment piece in that same stash drawer I think this one may have came from CTMH stamp set (will have to check on that one. Now to decide which girl will receive it.

Moving Forward

Hi you all and yay to the weekend. Since I have blogger I get this wondeful morning informational email of what all my favorite blogger sites are doing and sketchabilities had this super cute sketch that I knew I had to try. So this is my take on the sketch:

Isn't this a fun sketch :) So I had this up for a couple of days on my computer, so I could see what I wanted to do with it and Wednesday night I started digging through my top drawer for some pictures and came across these 2 thought yep they are the ones. I used my current counterfeit kit for the layout other than the holly & berries paper that was from another layout I did this past week.

I painted the right side with Making Memories paint effect kit: Springtime, I liked the effect so much that I painted a border all around the page.

 The pictures are of me and Buddy Christmas Eve 2005, I used the frames in the kit to frame the pictures, the chevrons were punch out with a SU punch and CTMH: Charming Chevrons Flair stamp set was used with perfect pearls to create the metallic look. Added a sticker from the colorbok Antique Paperie collection. The doily was a cut out ad I finished up those negative cut dots on the doily with some glossy accents. The words moving forward thought was fitting cause we moved on from one shot to the next trying to get the perfect picture which didn't happen but got these 2 supper cute pics instead. The heart came from CTMH Florentine sticker pack

 I finished up that scallop tape for one of strips, and included the gold cutout I did one night doing a variety of cuts on my cameo, and the top strip was just punched with EKsuccess  punch scallop scallop. The hearts are the negative cuts from something I cut, to cute to throw out so I finally got a layout it would work on. The variety of sprinkled dots is from stickles: waterfall

 The bow was cut that night too, did a few of these bows in a variety of papers and weights of papers too. The first ones didn't come out so well but after chatting with an online friend found out you have to curve it with a boner first like you would for ribbon to give it the spiral look after that it didn't look to bad, I added stickles to the center piece of the bow. The journaling card was cut in half and came from Simple Stories documented line.
I haven't gotten the jist of the splattered look yet, but I'm enjoying working on it.

Love and Sympathy

Hi you all and welcome to my blog, today I'm the designer over at Card A Day Blog and the theme this week is sympathy cards. I had two friends this past week lose their fathers so it's nice to have these card on hand so they can be sent out as soon as possible, to give some comfort.

I liked these 5 pattern papers for the cards and decide to do half in one set and the other half in another set. I made these cards for 2 different swaps, so easy to put together. I used SU 2.5" circle punch for the stamped sentiment and all the cards got this same pattern paper. I also used the white cards stock for the base for the stamped flower ad used my fiscars lac edge corner punch. I used CTMH Juniper ink for the stamping and the stamp set was from SU-Love & Sympathy.

 The inside I used that same stamp set, also the same paper from the front I only switched up the patterns on the inside the smaller strip is the same as the larger background in the front

and the the large background is the same as the smaller strip in the front. I thought it would be a nice touch that way. Another of the white cardstock with the sentiment in the same ink and punched the same way.
So when thinkig of doing a sympathy card it doesn't have to be elobrate just a note to let them know that your there for them :)

Happy Birthday Allstar

Welcome all, my grandson Bradley's Birthday is today and this is the card I made him. I seen this card on Fantabulous Cricut Challenge Blog: Michelle's card was one of the top 5 and as soon as I seen it I knew it was perfect for his birthday and I had to CASE it:

She used the Artbooking Cartridge I used the Cameo and some Silhouette files for the Polaroid cut and the star cut. The lettering is just text typed in and had the star position so that it all could be welded together. The card was mainly made from my March Counterfeit kit, I brought in the background paper from a masculine paper pack I have and the ribbon is SU: Garden Green from my stash. Happy Birthday was from one of the sticker packs from the kit and the red/white dotted washi tape.

The inside I used Tuxedo Black Memento ink and 3 of the stamps from Simply Said (Cardz TV Stamps) and Happy Birthday came from the SU set You're Amazing. Layer included more of the green star paper and the negative star from the cut.

Creative Cutting Challenge: St. Patrick's Day

Hi you all and welcome to my blog,  I'm one of the designers over at Creative Cutting Challenge and it's all about St Patrick's Day this challenge. My card:

Now I tried something new and used Creative Pointe’s Lucky Girl printable,
 
I think this is the first time I used a printable on a card and it was fun to use too. I also used Creative Pointe’s Flower Set 1 
 
With cutting the spiral flower down really really small I found that even the cameo has limitations on what it can cut too, but it worked out in the end, I used some silver stickles and some brads & rhinestones for the center of the flowers on the bottom corner of the art print.
My card consist of a green cardbase from my stash and on that I added the darker green background that was in my stash of green paper, but wasn't a full 12 X 12 sheet. I added the ribbon that I received from a swap a few years ago. Place the lucky girl art work on the lime-leaf background that was punched with a SU edge punch and place 4 of the flowers in 2 different sizes in the bottom corner. I also added 3-d shamrock stickers/ enamel dots that were in my stash.
The inside of the card:

Was another piece of that background paper strategically cut so I would have that doily and postmark to bring something extra to the inside, I also included the Irish Blessing (seemed fitting for this card) from last month's counterfeit kit for the inside sentiment edges inked with CTMH Juniper ink. Added a flag pennant from Elle's Studio from this month's kit stamped with SU Teeny Tiny Wishes set wishing a happy st patrick's day stamped in black ink and a flower cut from the flower set with the silver stickles center and a couple of the 3-d shamrock stickers (and that finished off that pack of stickers :) love using up my stash.

Counterfeit Kit March Challenge-Gold and Red Clash

Hi you all and welcome, yep it's a new month and that means a new kit challenge over at Counterfeit Kit Challenge blog and it's a really cute kit:

Really enjoying the way the month has been falling and reveal day is on a weekend. I just love the Golds and Reds (a couple of my favorite colors) and lights to balance it out. Wow the blog hop yesterday was lots of fun and the girls did an excellent job forging this kit with lots of inspiration to go with. So now this is my kit: Gold and Red Clash:

I decided this month to pull my kit from my one paper cart that holds my Close to My Heart and my Stampin Up paper packs, I really need to get some these used up :)

The bottom 3 drawers holds just about all of them, other than my Workshop kits from CTMH

The paper mainly comes from SU (because that was the first drawer I started with, lol) But I have some odd balls in the mix too and a couple of CTMH in there also. SU: Plum Spiral, 4 wood sheets from the Firewood Lodge collection, Well Worn all 7 sheets I had left: Gold w/ red cracks (looks like the sidewalk in front of my house growing up to me), Gold w/ red streaks old wallpaper, Red/Gold brick, This & That Epic Day pack: Old Inventory sheet. Creative Memories: 2 yellow and 1 gray chevron. CTMH from Typset pack: Red newspaper and I pulled the whole Buzz & Bumble scrapbook kit. Odd pieces that were in the upper drawer of the cart set aside for specific layouts: Is the farm papers and the yellow polka dot is actually adhesive backed fabric paper (I'm looking forward to trying this with one of the cutters)

Cardstock: Red and vanilla came from the Heritage pack from the The paper company, Gold is from Creative Memories, and the Whites-1 smooth-1 textured is from Coredinations. Some of the embellishments: the bubble stickers pack, a couple of shipping tags, a few cut out Polaroids, some odd buttons (only had the one aqua in my stash downstairs), metal tractor buttons, and arrow paperclips.

The sticker sheets: CTMH: Florentine sticker pack (I must really like this pack I found 4 in my stash-time to use it :), Paper House: Down on the Farm, CM: Cheerful sticker pack, Elle's Studio: The sweet life cutouts, Amy Tangerie: Let's Go stickers and Heidi Swapp: 3 Memory File: Color instaframes (I really want to get this used up and out of my stash :)

The stamp set, bling and 3-d stickers come from CTMH: Buzz ad Bumble Workshop on the Go. I bought this kit mainly for that stamp set since we do alot of garden stuff in the summer I thought that seed pack stamp was perfect for some of those type of layouts and the golds papers were and extra bonus :) I have some specific layouts that I want to use with this kit.

The Alphas: I pulled in quite a few I like alot of choices to work with and don't want to get stalled on layouts with just a couple choices. Making Memories: "Stamp" rub-ons, I have some old stickers from when I first got started that came in variety packs from Oriental Trading, Stickopotamus in Red and Gold, Nicole (this came from AC Moore) I have this in both Red and Gold, Colorbok, EK Success Sticko brand, Making Memories: Funky letters and Chunky letters, Basic Grey: Olivia, I also pulled my Simple Stories Harvest Lane sticker sheet with red/gold/blue alphas and words also my Dymo maker.

3 varieties of American Crafts ribbon, the red star alpha chip board, and Washi tape: 7 choices and a Making Memories: Metallique gems & glitter tapes pack. I also want to try using Perfect Pearls this month' got these for Christmas 2 years ago and the packs are still unopened.
That's it, this is my kit for the month. You will also see other things pulled from my stash if needed for I'm working on a Before Your Story class with Big Picture Classes and lots of that paper will generated from the pictures and the era of that time,  but would like to include something from this kit with every thing I do this month cards and layouts.

A few of these pieces will go to making the card from that 10 min challenge last month and I pulled a couple for a 2-page layout I'm working on that I need to finish. Not to bad for me I made 9 layouts and 2 more to finish, 6 cards and 1 more to finish. I'm looking forward too increasing that amount this month :)
I still have most of my PL counterfeit kit left ans will be using that on a few spreads for the month of Jan and maybe Feb. Will pull the March counterfeit Day in the Life kit next weekend for  PL spreads.

2014 Goals Smashed! -Day 4 of the 3 Twenty Crafts blog hop

 Today we are showing you the new and awesome stamp set “Personalize It” This stamp set coordinates with Project Life and Smash Books. 

 
Here is what I created using this new stamp set:

I used the check-off block stamp for my 2014 goals, and I included a few of the extra stamps that are with in the set to create a goal list and writing in the personal goals.This list is on this page in my Modville Crush Book:

This is what the whole page looks like, with included journaling pocket from close to my heart, I used my counterfeit kit challenge for the alphas, the journal pocket, the flairs and the washi tape. Here is a look at the goals part flipped to the right:

My little word: Punctual or in other words "On Time" tag. On the pocket itself is a swirl stamp that comes with the stamp set.

The other side of the tag my journaling about why I chose the word and also the year of scrapping, I want to get lots of pictures I have printed scrapped.

A picture of the South Williamsport clock that is in the Dunkin' Donuts plaza that I took for a visual of the word. Using the negative pieces from the punched edge with the Stampin Up Chevron punch. The pictures included on this page are some of the extra I had left over from my Week 1 PL spread, so a good place to put those extra pictures is in your crush books/smash books
