Wanderlust lo for CKC challenge #2

Good Morning and welcome :) The days are just flying by! Loving Summer this year the weather can be a bit humid but it hasn't been to bad.

Today is the 2nd challenge over at Counterfeit Kit Challenge blog and our month's host Lisa has challenged us:

Sketch It Up!

We all love a good sketch and I found a cracker for us today. This is a BasicGrey (insert longing sigh here) sketch from way back in 2012 (see it at their blog here ). It's a double spread but feel free to use it complete or just one of the pages - it features some chevrons which reminded me of the photo corners in the HS sticker book from the kit and I really think it can be reinterpreted to reflect today's scrappy style if that's the way you want to go! ðŸ˜‰

One, two, three... sketch!

BasicGrey sketch can be found on their blog here

This is the layout I created for this sketch:

I had fun creating the layout using my kit: Unplug. Using a few scraps from the layout I did the other day that this one goes with as it's the pictures I took from the helicopter ride. I used the cloud paper that was in my kit along with the chevrons that were in the sticker book, sequins, diecut word phrase and sticker word phrases too. Love the cutfile title against the picture and the white cardstock, something I don't do to often using cardstock for my background but it worked here with the variety of pattern papers that were used.

Thank you for stopping by today and seeing what I'm up to in my little corner of the world. I hope you join us over at Counterfeit Kit Challenge blog for this fun challenge.

Be Happy LO for Sketch n Scrap challenge

Good Morning and welcome :) August is just flying by! I'll be at a tractor show when this posts, I hope your having a fantastic weekend too.  Now on to the Sketch N Scrap challenge for the day. A wonderful sketch from Stacy to play with today.

A fun sketch indeed lots of elements to play with here
For my background mat I used a cut file, been playing with them this month and this file I thought was perfect to play along with this sketch and with these photos :) Anyone that knows me knows I'm afraid of heights so I've been working to try to get over that and when I seen the helicopter rides being offered at this show the weekend of my Birthday I knew I had to try it! A bucket item checked off and such an awesome thrill too.

Layout details I used my current counterfeit kit: Unplug. Thanks for stopping by today to see what I created and can't wait to see what you create from this cool sketch over at Sketch N Scrap blog.

Celebrate Birthday Card for Sketch N Scrap Challenge

Good morning and welcome to the 1st card sketch over at Sketch N Scrap challenge blog. I just loved this card sketch from Lisa and used it for a birthday card for my DIL's upcoming Birthday.

This is what I created with it:
Using scraps from my July CKC: Summer Fun and the fun ribbon too that was in a card kit I was able to create the card in no time! I love fast easy cards and this sketch helped with that. Thanks for stopping by today to see what I created and can't wait to see what you create from this cool sketch over at Sketch N Scrap blog.

CKC - July 2021 Kit Reveal - UnPlug

Hello! Happy August! Wow where did July go..... it was a blur for me :) We got really cute inspiration this month for our Counterfeit Kit challenge. First you should have arrived here from Misty's blog  I'm excied to see what she has put together this month.

Lisa is our host this month and welcome Sarah back as our Guest Designer in August. She has such an eye-catching individual style and her layouts never fail to make me smile.

This month Lisa went local and picked out the gorgeously luscious-feeling kit by a German scrapbook shop - Dani Peuss. She selected their May 2021 kit which is full of Heidi Swapp along with Maggie Holmes and American Crafts papers.

As I looked more into the kit and the add-on paper kit I was like yes! I have some of these papers in my stash... I actually have 4 pieces of the same paper and the sticker book from (Not) Just for Boys Kit Club June kit.

So this is the base of my kit building. Using the color scheme and the feel of the papers this is what I put together.

Unplug

Here are all the papers including some scraps and since it's Heidi Swapp, I added the Honey & Spice 6x6 paper pad to it:

The papers reminded me of Summer as a kid, we went to Wildwood, NJ quite often so added alot of summery breezy feeling to the kit with some ice cream cone paper for some added sweetness.
My alphas, I'd like to make a dent in these ones wit just a few letters left so some fun creative words

Close up of the extras in the kit. Stamps, diecuts, washi, sequins and enamel dots, wood veneer, acrylic pieces, tags, puffy stars and a fun new Nuvo mist for me. Gonna be fun to see what that mist does. I'm excited to dig in and get playing with this kit, but first I need to see what the other girls have pulled together and a good place to start is over at Tara's blog  I'm excited to see how the inspiration moved her for her kit :) and if you get lost here is the full list

Of course we have a reveal hop this month:
