Spring is in the Air - Use Your Stuff Challenge

Good Morning and welcome today's challenge over at Use Your Stuff challenge blog is Spring is in the Air. Well around our house spring is in the air when my hubby starts to plant seeds for the garden. It's always nice to see the garden grow through the season too:
This layout was created during LOAD1016 Day9: Show of hands. How many of you have found that absolutely perfect stamp set or die cut and fell in love, but couldn’t think of a single way to use it?

A couple more garden pictures scrapped. For the challenge, I had gotten these die cuts cause I wanted them had them cut out and never used them. Do you ever do that? Today was the day when I seen the challenge and the stamps also got their first inking today too.
I had fun layering that view reel diecut around the layout.
I inked up the stamps I got from CTMH awhile back for this layout and added the Reel Life as my title of the layout
More stamping on the edge of the triangle. this layout would have been made with either my Sept or Oct 2016 counterfeit Kit.
Thank you for stopping by today and I hope to see your creation linked up over at Use Your Stuff Challenge blog.

5 Different Pattern Papers for LM Challenge

Good morning and welcome :) today I have a layout for the challenge that our DT sister Sandy challenged us to do this week over at Lasting memories.

LM #337 - Use 5 Different Pattern Papers

with and optional challenge to create a birthday layout.

When I think of using 5 different papers I think of layering and this layout certainly has layers:
This layout was created during LOAD217 this was DAY 18: The 9 Muses
How do you bring culture into your life?
We like to take day road trips and most are usually to go see some kind of history, something we both take pleasure seeing. This layout is created for a day trip album to Ithaca, NY to see the Museum of the Earth, fascinating museum and all the dinosaur skeletons (layouts to do yet) We take trips to Antique Tractor Shows for history in live view and to museums to see what once was.
I used a layout from the Perfect Collection Class for my base for the layout :) This class is a class that I took from Shimelle and I had learned about the class from Tina Gale from My Scrappy Ideas. I'll post about the collection next week. Thinking to use the rest of the paper for the photos for this trip to have it all tie together :) This is one of my goals this year is to work on purchased classes.
I did use a paper from my counterfeit kit in February : A Few of My Favorite Things. this paper I used for my journaling
Used some fun washi tape as the exhibit was still under construction. The Right Whale is fascination to see at the museum and such a cool story on there site as to how they came about getting the skeleton.
Also found some fun chipboard stickers in my stash that worked out perfect for this layout. Who say's that it had to be used for a beach layout :)
I used a few fun stickers that was in my kit that month too. I'm looking forward to working with this collection a bit more for the day trip and get that finished up here real soon. I also found out that the Perfect Collection class is a fast fun way to have your base papers ready for your layouts and makes creating a layout ridiculously fast :) I look forward to seeing your creation over at Lasting Memories. Have a Great Day!

Bradley's HBday card for Funday Friday

Good Morning and welcome :) It looks like it's one of those months that I just haven't had time to craft or blog, so sorry the blog has been quiet. Got one more week this month to do some creating and hopefully some blogging too. With my new hours at work and a really good book (I can't seem to put down) is why it's so quiet. But will give attention to crafting over the weekend and throughout next week (Should be done with the book over the weekend ;)
Today is Funday Friday challenge over at Jo's Scrap Shack and as always the theme is Anything Goes. Our Sponsors for today's challenge are Bugaboo Stamps & Starstampz. I got to use a Bugaboo Stamp for my Grandson's Birthday (March 16th) Card:
I had a blast coloring this Birthday Cake Tag for the card
This is the inside of the card. The base of the card came from paper in my current counterfeit kit: Social Butterfly and the rest of the card is from my stash, playing with embossing folders one weekend so made lots of birthday cards.

Stars n Swirls for Sketch N Scrap Challenge

Good Morning and welcome. Today we have a card sketch for the challenge over at Sketch~N~Scrap blog. The card sketch we are playing with today is from Lisa:
Image may contain: text
A fun versatile card sketch that can be used for a variety of themes. I have Birthdays coming up in April so I went with a birthday card:

I used 2 different embossing folders for my card. Fussy cut the sentiment spot (from my BASHkit) and added the stamped sentiment to the card. A little ribbon over the center of the card for a bit of added texture.
Added another sentiment to the inside and now it's ready to be signed and mailed out.
I hope you all join us for this challenge and I look forward to seeing what you create and link up over at Sketch~N~Scrap layout.

AJ's Birthday Pool Party for LM challenge

Hello and how are you on this fine day! Well I survived a chest/head cold, the new time change, new hours at work and the blizzard of 2017! Wow March has been some kind of month so far. We got more white stuff overnight to brighten the 1st day of spring tomorrow. I'm looking forward to getting back in the swing of scrapping and cardmaking for the rest of the month of March got lots to catch up if I even want to get close to anyones stats over at Get It Scrap for Calvinball. But that is another story for another day. Today is the challenge over at Lasting Memories Scrapbook Challenge and DT sis Sandy has challenged us to use 3 tags on our a layout this week with the option of using a Birthday Layout.
AJ wanted a pool party for his birthday this past year, so it was fun to attend the party. AJ was sure enjoying it. I used 3 tags: one for the title area, one for the date of the event and one for the journaling.
The left side of the layout is all about AJ, it's his party and he should be center of attention :) I've been enjoying my current counterfeit kit: Social Butterfly and used up 3 papers, 3 tags and 4 metal pieces (I think they were in the kit too :) on this layout. The AJ chipboard is from letters in last month's kit and the Happy Birthday piece was in my Bashket basket, getting closer to getting all the chosen items in that basket used up :)
The right side is identical to the left in paper layout other than the Be Happy card that was cut down for the spot and extra pieces used in the layout. Variety of pictures from the day, including a 3 generation picture and cute picture of Andrea at full smile, visiting with Brad and Elias n Zachary enjoying the pool. I didn't think it needed alot of embellishing with the layers of pattern paper used.
 Journaling spot
3 generation picture :) Atleast I was able to get AJ to look at the camera, Pap Campbell looking at his grandson and Albert, well what can I say :)
 Title block
The last tag used for the event day and included his age with his real birth date.
I was able to use this for alot of challenges. Counterfeit Kit Challenge #2 Spring Showers using something wet or a twist to use pool/beach/water pictures. Challenge of green over at SNC. Challenge at the Paper Issues Fans & Friends FB page crop of Live Out Loud challenge to only use Pattern Papers embellish as needed :)
Thank you for stopping by today and I hope to see your 3 tag creation linked up to Lasting Memories Scrapbook Challenge

It's Your Day Birthday Boy!

Hello :) Today's challenge over at Use Your Stuff is from our DT sister: Haven and her challenge is Dry Embossing: machine or hand.  From Haven: If you're an avid paper crafter like me you probably have a bunch of embossing folders that you just had to have and now barely use.  Well now's the time to pull them out and create something.  If you don't have an embossing machine try hand embossing with a stencil and stylus.
Well I fit that category very well. I get my embossing folders out it seems like when there is a challenge to do. So i got to play a bit with my embossing folders yesterday and made a few cards. Here is one I made for Waylon's birthday or maybe Zachary's birthday, just trying to get ahead a bit on birthday cards.
I used the Happy Birthday cuttlebug embossing folder for this card. I also used a CTMH stamp set I had for eons to use on this card. I used my Hampton Arts stamping tool for this card (man do I love that tool!) Colored the stamp with my bic markers and used my Silver Wink of Stella brush to give a glittery look to the metal part of the stamp.
The inside is ready for signing a little note from us. A fun card and I used up some paper from my counterfeit kit: Social Butterfly for the cards I made yesterday. Which you will see throughout the month as 2 of them were for DT projects. Thank you for stopping by and I hope to see your creation linked up over at Use Your Stuff challenge blog.

80s Girl Today for Lasting Memories Challenge

Good Morning and welcome :) Happy Spring Ahead the Clock today! Did you turn your clocks ahead? That is the only way I can remember that I need to turn them ahead in the spring. I'm ready for longer days with the sun setting later. Finally get over that cold that I had this past week, so there has been no crafting for me, but I pulled one of the layout I did for LOAD217 for this week's challenge over at Lasting Memories Scrapbook Challenges.
Are you ready for a fun new challenge? This week our DT Sandy is challenging us to include lots of numbers on our layouts!
LM #335 - Include lots of numbers of your layout - with and optional challenge to create a birthday layout.
Oh yes I'm one of those girls!
LOAD217 DAY 25: Apollo
What’s on your playlist? What’s your favorite song?
This layout was fun once I decided what I wanted to do with it. The CD collections I had gotten for Christmas from Tammy and she picked out some fun discs. I had posted the 80's picture on instagram and facebook that day. Some old Jams on this rainy day.
This was my playlist for today (February 25). I like lots of music but my favorite has to be the 80s sound :) I posted the 80s picture on instagram and facebook today after I turned on the music. My nephew Matt asked my favorite 80s band? I said a tie between Hall & Oates and Van Halen. 1984 was a great album. Thought this was fitting for the journaling today for the layout so added that to it :) I used the Rockstar colection from DCWV and a few pieces from my current counterfeit kit :) came together fairly quickly
I have numbers in my journaling, in my title and in the pictures
My title work came from 2 alphas and a diecut chipboard piece from Simple Stories So Fancy collection as did the other diecut pieces grouped on the layout.
 Closeup photos of the layout
I used last month's counterfeit kit:  A Few of My Favorite Things for the chipboard pieces and the journaling card that I used in a variety of places just by cutting it up for each spot :) Another way to use these project life cards! if you have lost of them. Thank you for stopping by today and I look forward to doing some scrapping myself this week and look forward to seeing your creation over at Lasting Memories Scrapbook Challenges.

Pet Peeves for Lasting Memories Challenge

Hello :) I hope you all are fantastic, myself I have been nursing a chest/head cold since the weekend, so much I have been unplugged from the computer most of this week. This post has been in draft mode since right before I got sick. Time to share this fun challenge over at Lasting Memories. This month's challenges are from our DT sister Sandy Ross and this month is her Birthday month so the challenges have alot to do with birthday theme, but we realize that not everyone may have a lot of birthday photos to scrap, so your layout can be any theme, as long as you use a banner.
LM #334 - Include A Banner
This layout came from LOAD217 DAY 27: Ares
What get's you riled up? What are your pet peeves or slight annoyances? What do you do about them?
Pet Peeves not an easy layout to do and for some reason I was drawn to my pet peeves about my husband, clarified in the layout that I love him dearly :) You know when your with someone a long time they tend to get under your skin at times :) and this is a 2-way street cause I know that he probably has pet peeves of me too.
I journaled in 2 spots on this layout.
 The actual pet peeves
The banner I created with cardstock.I used a piece of paper from my 100 pattern paper challenge, the yellow paper is from last month's counterfeit kit: A Few of My Favorite Things, and the green vegetable paper is from my scrap basket. The alphas came from my CKC and the labels from my stash. A quick easy layout for me.
Thank you for stopping by and checking out my little corner of the world, and I hope you join in with the fun challenges this month over at Lasting Memories.

Presents

Good Morning and welcome to today's double page sketch over at Stick It Down. Ali made our double page sketch this month and she's also created a cut file!

If you're interested in the cut file, you can get that HERE
This is the layout I created with it:
I used last month's counterfeit kit for part of this layout. The journaling spot, the title lettering, finished off the puffy stickers and used the purple/pink enamel heart stickers. The background papers I got from my stah and I grabbed some birthday die cuts too. Guess I did to make up some more as they are handy to have on hand when I need them :)
Close up of the left hand side of the double. This holds the photo collage a fun way to use up a few photos too
Close up of the collage
Close up of the right hand side of the layout. I positioned the pictures like in the sketch just not the same style pictures and I added that journaling spot too.
 the journaling
One of the cute picture with the die cut. Quinn was more interested in opening the gifts and Reyn was more interested in seeing what they got.
Thank you for stopping by today and I look forward to seeing what you create with this fun sketch over at Stick It Down.

My March Counterfeit Kit Social Butterfly

Hello :) I pulled my March kit tonight for my March scrapping and crafting :) Counterfeit Kit Challenge Blog has a cute kit this month to counterfeit. I checked it out on March 1st during my lunch at work and was able to quickly come up with a list of what I saw to gather.
Hip Kits Club provides our inspiration kit with their February selection:

My kit: Social Butterfly

I started off gathering the papers:
The CTMH Dotty for You paper I found I have 2 packages of those so one is in the kit to get used up :) That had the butterflies, circles, stripe and words papers. The rest I pulled from various paper pads in my collection. I added 2 8X8 paper pads. The Melody Rose paper pad I'm making it a point this month to get that one used up and out of my stash
 Another view of the paper.

The box of embellishments this month :) I went a bit heavy on the embellishments
I grab anything I had in butterflies, I knew I had wood buttons and grabbed them well I had to grab theother Shimelle embellishments from Go Now Go collection too and the 6X6 paper pad, 4 stamp sets, variety of flower die cuts and prima flowers, lots of odds and ends too
The alphas, yes not quite that much but I'm always open to get in my stash and what I may need. Plus I'll be using the blue sticker word sheets too.
My kit for the month, inks and mists I will pull when needed as well as cardstock.
Thanks for stopping by today and I hope to see your kit up on the linky over at Counterfeit Kit Challenge Blog it is a fun way to scrap...

Cake Time for a Sketch N Scrap Challenge

Good Morning and welcome :) Today I have another layout from Quinn & Reyn 1st Birthday Party. These are pictures from them eating their cake. Today's Sketch over at Sketch N Scrap was perfect to showcase theses pictures. The sketch for today is:

and I used it for this Double page layout of the girls eatting their cake:
OMgosh they were just 2 darn cute (I may be a bit bias :) I took the photos and from the outside to the inside is the time lapse of them, from beginning to the cute large facial one.
I used my counterfeit kit: A Few of My Favorite Things and I used up a piece of ribbon from my stash too :)
Here are some close ups of the layout:

I had a blast creating this layout and I look forward to seeing your creation with this sketch :) over at Sketch N Scrap Challenge blog. This one is a keeper for me I can see me using this one quite often with event photos when you have lots of them! Have a great day today!
