Easter LO for a Use Your Stuff challenge

Good morning and welcome to my 2nd layout of the day. Welcome to the 1st challenge of the month\ over at Use Your Stuff challenge blog, the theme for this challenge is Easter.
During these current times we had to change up alot of things we normally do, for us this year we had to cancel our Annual Easter Egg hunt with our Grandkids. Something we look forward to doing in the Spring. While cleaning and revamping my room I came across this pile together so knew it had to be used for a layout.
A fun unfinished project from 2013 and I know I made those PL cards on the layout back then as I was doing PL then, really need to get back to that year and finish it off. I used this fun sketch for this layout from the BYSS facebook group.
No photo description available.
Took a bit to do it, but love the out come of the layout.
I look forward to seeing your creation for this fun challenge over at Use Your Stuff challenge blog.

Curated an Awesome Easter Egg Hunt LO Counterfeit Kit Challenge

Good Morning and welcome to the 1st challenge this month over at Counterfeit Kit Challenge Blog. Our inspiration kit for September courtesy of the Secret Not Secret Kit Club (Redefined Kreative) Lisa has challenge us to  "curate" our own project! we are working with a curated kit this month which is rather exciting, When you looked up the meaning of "to curate" in the dictionary, I found this definition.
verb (used with object), cu·rat·ed, cu·rat·ing.
to take charge of (a museum) or organize (an art exhibit)
to pull together, sift through, and select for presentation, as music or website content
I love the idea of pulling together some sort of exhibit or collection - isn't that what we do with our memories all the time in this wonderful hobby of ours?

Be inspired by this definition in some way for your own project.
This is the layout that I created by the inspiration of this challenge:
I pulled out 11 photos of the 1st part of the Easter Egg Hunt, using a Scrapbook Generations sketch created the layout using my Quite Brawny kit, used bit of things on the layout, lots of words and phrases and those 5 stars.
 My journaling
My title with the addition of the word of the day Curate for this fun challenge :) Thanks for stopping by today and I look forward to seeing your creation for this fun challenge over at Counterfeit Kit Challenge Blog

Photo Opp layout for Stick It Down challenge

Hello :) Today's Double Page challenge over at Stick It Down is this fun sketch:

This is the layout I created with this sketch:

The pictures are during last year's Easter Egg Hunt and there were a couple special moments this being one of them when Andrea was trying to gather the kids for a special photo. Using pattern paper from my 100 pattern paper pile and from my counterfeit kits both last month and this month and the stars from both kits too :) I was impressed how much I have combined these kits to make current layout and it's worked out well.
The left side of the layout has 2 burlap doilies, border strips, word strips, and stars
The right side of the layout has some of the same and also that fun shaker camera sticker I had gotten in my Paper Issues Swag Bag (1st one I ever got) so glad to use pieces from that fun purchase.
 Close ups of the layout

Thank you for stopping by and seeing what I'm up to in my little corner of the world and I look forward to seeing what you create from this fun sketch over at Stick It Down

Easter Chip Tree 2017 layout for Counterfeit Kit Challenge #1

Good Morning :) Counterfeit Kit Challenge  #1 Challenge is Easter! Easter is a big deal at our house with yearly Easter Egg hunts for the grandkids :) so lots of fun memories to scrap.
I have created a double page layout from one of the highlights from last year's Easter Egg Hunt from my kit Spring Flings and Easter Things
The chip tree always finishes off the Easter Egg hunt each year :) It's always fun to watch the kids go at it.
I used this sketch over at the 100 Pattern Paper challenge facebook group for this layout:
https://scontent.fagc1-2.fna.fbcdn.net/v/t1.0-9/29386085_10156068344977508_2250830370847064064_n.jpg?_nc_cat=0&_nc_eui2=v1%3AAeHC3mb9c6y_R9lGvWkLxZCYa3tV4K9TFbVV7bsvYbyRykDVwBqjMZU4z6A9mjVHtPqs1aL5oFh5LxjfY7hxAkVWt3A49frbnO2maQbgfu7Tvg&oh=8c39acd92945c0f083ab01adc9831593&oe=5B5E640F
I stuck to it pretty good and it had a spot to show case all my photos too
Close up photos:

The left side of the layout. Everyone waiting for Grandpa to say Go! The title was created with the letter paper that was in my kit and used soft pastel color floral paper for my backgrounds and matted my photos with bolder stripe paper.
The Right hand side include the Go! pictures and my journaling.
 The title work
Used Heidi Swapp Gold color shine for splatters
Include the bling foil stickers of Easter Eggs that were in my kit

Best Day Ever

LOAD817mini Day 6 was a double page layout for this prompt: In Now and Then Roberta pretends that she drowns to play a joke on her friends. Chrissy isn’t impressed, and lets her know with a right hook! Scrap about a joke or surprise. You can feature a happier surprise… and not one that ends with a right hook!
We do like to have fun preparing for the annual Easter Egg hunt and it's interesting what Dave comes up with for tricks to play on the kids :) Really isn't that what an hunt is for to hunt for the objects :)
These were some pictures that I took during the prep work for the Easter Egg Hunt this past year. Some of the hidden things were the packs of twizzlers and this one was hidden in the tree, there were 4 packs all together that was hidden :)
The left side of t he layout has Dave placing around the eggs and some of the  spots we added eggs.
The right side a selfie of me and the broom corn field that was from last year's growing season :) It made for a great place to hide the eggs :) and our usually chip/snack tree :)
I had fun with the journaling in strips. I used alot of Close to My Heart Hopscotch workshop for the layout and that teal ribbon :) I still have some of the left.
A close up of the flowering bush and the twizzlers hidden inside it :) 1 more layout to document for LOAD817 mini and I'm done posting for the day :)

Journaling from Jessica's post and also a bit from me.
Fun title created with new alphas and some old alphas
Awww such a sweet photo of Ava :)

Easter 2016 for a Use Your Stuff challenge

Happy Easter to all my blogger friends, I hope your day was special.
This week's challenge over at Use Your Stuff challenge blog comes from our DT sis Heather and her challenge for us is: I thought it would be fun to try and use some of them up.  And not just one or two here an there, but I would really love to see you guys use eyelets or brads or both to make a shape on your layout.
So this is what I created for this challenge:
Our Great Granddaughter Emily last year after receiving her Easter Basket. Looks like she was enjoying all her gifts from the Easter Bunny. I used Eyelets in 3 different spots on my layout creating circle embellishments.
One for the Journaling spot and the Title on that layout. Emily certainly enjoys chocolate :) I used paper from my 100 Pattern Paper challenge. Used ribbon from the ribbon challenge in the same group and the eyelets were from last month's challenge in the same group. The word sticker and Alpha letters and numbers came from my current counterfeit kit: Spring Garden. I put together 4 different page kits yesterday from my kit but this wasn't one of them and went another direction for this layout.
Fun Easter bunny stickers used with the circles for a fun embellishment clusters
This layout is also for the challenge over at Lasting Memories. This week challenge is:
We are asking you to create a layout using Bunnies, chicks or eggs.
To kick off this weeks challenge we are asking you to create a layout using Bunnies, chicks or eggs.
Also don't forget there is plenty of time for  you to play along with our first two spring challenges as well (use flowers, use the word spring)
LM #340 - Use bunnies, chicks, or eggs on your layout.
I look forward to seeing your creations at both Use Your Stuff challenge and over at Lasting Memories Scrapbook challenge :) Have a fantastic day....

Good morning and welcome to Funday Friday where all the friday challenges over at Jo's Scrap Shack is Anything Goes :) We have 2 sponsors today for our challenge: Oddball Art Company and Limited Runs Digitial Stamps.
I did the Easter Basket digi stamp from Oddball Art Company for my card

It was a fun sketch to play with and love the mats on it :) I used a piece a paper from my current counterfeit kit: Spring Garden and from my 100 pattern paper stack too plus a scrap from my Easter paper bag that I've been creating with this month :)
Up close on the stamp I colored.
The inside of the card:

Easter Egg Hunt for a Lasting Memories Layout Challenge

Good Morning :) and welcome to a new month of challenges over at Lasting Memories Scrapbook Challenge. This month Haven is the host of the challenges and she has made the theme of the month is Spring. I can't believe on the Eastern side of the States we are finally experiencing Spring :) It's been a very odd winter and hopefully spring won't follow suit. The challenge is:
This week we are asking you to create a layout using spring flowers.  It can be photos of flowers, patterned paper with flowers or even bunches of flower embellishments.

LM #338 - Create a layout using Spring flowers. They can be flowers in the photos, floral patterned paper, or flower embellishments.

I had decided I wanted to get some old Easter Egg Hunt photos scrapped this month with the challenges so wit the addition of the flower journaling spot and the flower chipboard the rest of the layout is dedicated to Easter Eggs it seems :)
I chose a double page layout for the opening page to the 2014 Easter Egg Hunt. This is our big event each year with our local grandkids, so I've got 50+ photos to scrap so lots of double pages and pocket pages to get the event scrapped :) The inspiration for this layout came from yesterday's reveal of Let's Scrap April 1st sketch challenge (yes sometimes I do the DT project the night that it's due!)

Definetly a fun sketch to use. With so many pictures I chose to do a photo collage of 4 of the printed photos for the one large photo they have on the left hand page:
I used my current counterfeit kit: Spring Garden for this layout and also found some old Easter paper that had borders on it from with in my page kit box that helped with the eggs border and the journaling spot. Dave is the leader of the hunt making sure none of the kids get to far ahead and all the eggs got picked up.
Some more pictures of the hunt and this hunt was Tristan's first one so he just enjoyed the view of what was going on from Mom's shoulder :) The title was created with the thickers I had in last month's counterfeit kit
 Journaling spot
Sweet Tristan :) and a flower chipboard piece from my kit
The kids having fun searching, Dave can be very creative when hiding eggs. We are blessed to have lots of trees on our property.
This is the one photo tha I have just about everyone in it other than Zachary for some odd reason. From left to Andrea, Brad, Katherine w/ Tristan, Albert (the tallest one), Avery, Elias, Astacia, Isabelle and AJ in the front.
Thank you for stopping by today, I've got some Spring Cleaning to do in my craft room + another DT project. Have an enjoyable day :) Might have to get out and enjoy the sunshine a bit today too :)
