Purple Asparagus LO for Sketch n Scrap challenge

Good Morning and welcome :) The middle of July already! We'll be off on vacation next week hopefully that doesn't go nearly as fast! lol. Now on to the Sketch N Scrap challenge for the day. A wonderful sketch from Lisa to play with today.

This is what I created with it:

Used papers from my May counterfeit kit: What's Cooking for this layout :) The background paper was a specific choice as it had asparagus bundles on it and who doesn't love an old Basic Grey paper :) I backed my photos with a purple cardstock and then used browns for the rest of the layout. It was great to feature this from the garden this year and to see it without the green asparagus too.
Thanks for stopping by today to see what I created and can't wait to see what you create from this cool sketch over at Sketch N Scrap blog.

A New Way of Cooking LO for the CKC Challenge #2

Good Morning, It's a lovely day today and the weekend was just as nice, got some flowers put in and 2 new additions to the yard too. The Birds are singing we have a busy yard.  It's definitely my favorite season.

The 2nd challenge of the month over at Counterfeit Kit Challenge blog. Julene is the host this month her challenge is colour palette

Be inspired by the colours turquoise and red. Scrap a page or cards featuring these colours (white, black and Kraft permitted as well)

These 2 photos will help you. ( NB. It doesn't have to be a kitchen/cooking theme!)

I chose to follow along with the bottom mood board and those colors for my layout. Using my kit What's Cooking I created a layout about my 1st cooking experience with our new Air-Fryer

It was fun using older product for a newer way to cook layout. Using 3 different paper lines to create the layout worked out well too and The red sure popped off the layout of aquas.

Thank you for stopping by today and seeing what I'm up to in my little corner of the world. I hope you join us over at Counterfeit Kit Challenge blog for this fun challenge.

CKC - May 2021 Kit Reveal - What's Cooking

Good Morning once again :) If your here to see my layout for Sketch N Scrap you can see it below this post. Happy (I)National Scrapbooking Day! Oh my a day dedicated to us scrappers! You know a good way to start of a day of scrapping is with a fun kit and we got a great inspirational kit this month.

Julene is our host this month and her is what she has to say about her pick.

I love a vintage vibe and as a 1950s baby, this one appealed to me.

There's cooking theme plus big bright cherries and red roses. Pretty florals, plaids, plain bright colours and even some neutral Kraft and white. Plenty of scope for you to forge.

It reminds me of October afternoon papers but there are other brands with that vintage 1950s feel or cooking themes. Here's your links.

Wood veneer and some cutaparts
Lots of kitchen and food ephemera
Brads and some ribbon too found in this little kit
