Another stop on the Victorian Christmas Homes tour. Using a Simple Stories Simple Vintage Christmas Lodge collection throughout these photos of this event. So I had scraps available to play with to make the grid for part of my background and as I'm playing along with 100 day project I used a cutfile for that and playing along with Calvinball too I have a total of 37 pts for the layout.

CKC - March 2023 Kit Reveal - Think Happy

Welcome to my blog and happy March! It's the 1st of the month and that means a new inspiration kit over at Counterfeit Kit Challenge blog, but 1st you should have arrived here from Tara's blog I'm looking forward to checking out her kit and see what inspired her. We are thrilled to have Amanda join us as Guest Forger.

Anna is our host this month she says:

I chose March for my month to host because my son was born on March 17 (he will be 11 this year!) and so I thought it would be fun to find a kit that could be used to scrap photos of my kiddo. In other words, not too much pink and a little more green (St Patrick’s day and all that). Well then I came across the digital kits from Traci Reed designs that have the same colors and even some of the same designs as Storyteller, her physical collection designed for Cocoa Vanilla, a company from Australia(yes she’s the genius behind that popular collection). The cool thing about a digital/printable kit is that there is no limit on how much she can create and she always packs SO MUCH into her digital kits.

I also love that this collection has a very specific message of self care for mental health and body positivity which is something I’d like to focus on more going forward. 

I hope this kit inspires you to use your Storyteller stash but also to mix and match and find some other similar papers to work with the palette or style. I know, that’s kind of the point of CKC but I’m so excited to be able to select a kit this month!!

CKC - February 2023 Kit Reveal - Sweet Serenity

 Welcome to my blog and happy Feburary! It's the 1st of the month and that means a new inspiration kit over at Counterfeit Kit Challenge blog, but 1st you should have arrived here from Tara's blog I'm looking forward to checking out her kit and see what inspired her. We are thrilled to have Karen join us as Guest Forger.

Cindy is our host this month she says: I wanted a kit that did not represent all winter, snow and Valentines for this month, and could eases us into the coming months.  I picked the Cocoa Daisy February 2022 Elegance Blooms kit for the softer colors, the lighter greens, yellows, pinks, and blues. You could still do a Valentine's Page or card and even a winter or snow page. I think this kit will be very versatile for this coming month. I know it's a LOAD month which is why I'm keeping it open for you to pull from any or all of the kits for inspiration.

I pulled in the pinks and blues from the kit with figuring I can yellows and greens with in the multicolor paper. CKC - January 2023 Kit Reveal - Optimism

Spring brings hope after winter and many of us look forward to a new year with optimism. Let us use each new year to make the most of every day. I thought this was a good place to start this post as I'm ready for Spring even though we are in the early part of Winter! Welcome to my blog and to a new year! 2023 starts us off with a New Year of Counterfeit Kit Challenge kits to challenge us to look through our own stash and choose a it to play with. 1st you should have arrived here from Tara's blog I'm looking forward to checking out her kit and see what inspired her. We are thrilled to have Anandi join us as Guest Forger.

Lisa is our host this month and she chose Hip Kit Club and decided it was time to head there again even though it's only exclusive products.  I've gone for the December 2022 kit as it seems a winter kit with the slightest touch of Christmas which can be totally ignored if need be. I like the idea of something brighter and fresher for the new year but also hanging on a little for the recent festivities!

 

So, here's the kit and details:

The inspiration had me thinking of Pinkfresh Studio as soon as I saw it. So that is where I started to pull my kit from. Here is my kit for January:

Optimisum

The 1st thing I saw was the female cardinal paper, that golden yellow color and then the pink squirrels, the blue leaves where a nice touch. So that is where I went with my kit Pink, Yellow and Blue (few shades of blue)

The papers:

I pulled in the pinks and blues with majority of Pinkfresh Studio paper and that pop of yellow is one of theirs too. Brought in some paper from my paper drawers that include specific designs and colors so I easily found the diamonds, plaid and florals and I added the pink/blue stripe too. I did bring in a paper from Graphic 45 Birdwatcher for that bird paper, I certainly have a story to tell about a bird I saw in December.

I brought in a pack of pocket cards too as that is a goal for this year is to use more pocket cards/pages in my scrapping so if I use have the package I'll be a happy camper.
