Fire!!! Did You Know challenge for Lasting Memories Layout challenge

Hi you all :) Been scrapping daily :) so still going with my goal this year :) It's been fun too reminiscing with older vacation photos also.
Today is a new month of challenges over at Lasting Memories Layout challenges. We start of with March challenges with the theme of Did You Know....- March National Month Of... and we will be focusing on little-known facts/holidays in March.
Did you know that March was named for the Roman God "Mars"? Mars was the god of war and also an agricultural guardian. So our challenge to you is:

LM #384 - Create a layout about war (think a layout of a war hero, museum-area about war (Gettysburg)...) OR an agricultural/farm layout (which this could cover just about anything with farming - food, animals, seasons....)
So many choices of photos for this theme! So I went with the photos on my scrappy desk that I've been creating with and found these photos of cool pictures of an Civil War Reenactment:
A very simple layout for today and this is also LOAD218 Day 25 prompt too. I used the choice of an old scrappy tool which was my crimper. I used my current counterfeit kit: Pretty Little Pastimes
These pictures came from when we were at the Portersville Steam Show in 2004. Cool to take the time out of the busy day of events and take a step back in time.
A simple layout with a simple title and some journaling for a quick layout that focused on the photos and the time period.
Thank you for stopping by today and I look forward to seeing what you create for this challenge :)

Portersville Steam Show layout for Use Your Stuff challenge

Good Morning and welcome :) to challenge #300 over at Use Your Stuff blog. I'm the hostess today over at Use Your Stuff challenge for this challenge of Twinkle Twinkle - Use something sparkly on your project.
I used stickles to add some sparkle to my layout, using some night paper makes it really match up well with The Twinkle, Twinkle of the challenge:
This layout came about from LOAD218 Day 2 prompt: This inspiring quote:
Gustave Flaubert quote
and to use tiny elements on the page and a galaxy theme :) So I dug into my stash for the black starry paper to add to the layout and then added the stickles that is in my current counterfeit kit: Pretty Little Pastimes for the sparkle :)
This layout will be the cover page leading into a weekend getaway trip. The 1st overnight trip we had been on since our Honeymoon in 1993. 11 years later I finally got the hubby to go somewhere else for his birthday than just the local antique tractor show. With a conversation with one of his friends about the show he made the plans for us to go :) I had been there before doing embroidery and had told him of the show too :) This is the beginning of a fun relationship we have with attending Antique Tractor Shows. Since he is now a Mechanic Tech that is on the road alot it is no problem with us taking off for a daytrip or a weekend trip :) Back then it really was different, he's come along way since then.
Few of the tractors I took pictures of at the show :)
 My title work
and the final picture :) even a masculine layout can have some glitter to it used in the right way :) Adding the stickles to the circles on the black paper makes it look like a twinkly night :)
Thank you for stopping by today and I look forward to seeing your creation for this fun challenge too over at Use Your Stuff blog.

Together for a Sketches In Thyme Project Life Style challenge

Good Morning and Welcome to the 2nd half of the month's challenge over at Sketches in Thyme Project Life Style :) Today we have this cool sketch to use, me I used it for my journaling card on my layout:
No automatic alt text available.
this is what I created with this sketch:
Now this card goes with this layout:
A layout created from LOAD218 day 15: I can do anything! Something hard of difficult.
The large photo is of my younger kids :) Thank goodness for these large portrait style photos for I'm not one to have large photos around as I don't scrap them that often and at the moment I'm out of ink for my printer :) I told a story of my greatest joy at that time with the kids as being a single mom there are plenty of hard  and difficult stories to tell and way to much to tell on one scrapbook page :) so choose a simple memory :)
 The card on the layout
Details of the layout including the fussy cut flowers. I used my current counterfeit kit: Pretty Little Pastimes for the card the paper that I fussy cut the flowers from and the enamel dots
and a close up of the kids :)
Thanks for stopping by and I look forward to seeing your creation for this fun challenge over at  Sketches in Thyme Project Life Style :)

Selfie for a Sketch N Scrap layout sketch challenge

Good Morning and welcome.
Today is Sketch N Scrap's 2nd sketch challenge and it's a good one:
Image may contain: text
a good one to showcase a special photo :)
This is what I created with this sketch:
Dave planted some beautiful sunflowers this past year and it wasn't your normal color neither a lovely red instead, bringing an almost fall like appearance early. While we was getting rid of the cut portions of the tree up on the bank I would walk up while Dave drove the wagon up and had fun getting some selfies about our yard.
The paper are from a pile near my craft desk thinking the plaid was in a previous kit and that bright orange was in my 1st 100 pattern paper pile.
Using embellishments from my current counterfeit kit: Pretty Little Pastimes
 The selfie
 and the title .
Thank you for stopping by today and seeing what I'm up to in my little corner of the world. I look forward to seeing your creation to this fun sketch linked up over at Sketch N Scrap.
There is a crop going on over there too in a the Facebook group events page

Adorbs layout

Good Morning :) I created this layout for Day 8 of LOAD218: Memory can be a fickle thing, Share a recent moment you should write down before you forget it :)
I wanted to make sure to document the new flower bulbs we got this past spring and so glad to add the name of it with a picture of it after it came up. Used my current counterfeit kit - Pretty Little Pastimes and the sketch over at Let's Get Sketchy :) So ready for Spring to arrive.

This sketch just makes this photo of the flower shine and love the colors of pattern papers I chose for it too
So cool to make good use of that word for the title of the layout :)
Close up of the flower it's been fun scrapping these flower pictures from last year, bring me a bit of spring to my long winter :)

My journaling :) Thank you for stopping by today and seeing what I'm up to in my little corner of the world.

Adore My Buddy for Counterfeit Kit Challenge's 1st Challenge

Good Morning and welcome :) This is Challenge #1 for Counterfeit Kit Challenge blog, it is I LOVE PARIS
  • WE all love Paris. capture the mood of Paris in your layout/card/tags. Use iconic buildings from Paris (need I list them?).Add love hearts, lace, whatever you want.
  • I’ve added some ideas to the Pinterest page.
  • They don’t have to feature photos of Paris!
When I think of Paris I think of the iconic buildings, the love and the atmosphere of the city and my kit had a few things that resembled those thoughts. A layout of our favorite pooch one spoiled king in our household created using some Paris theme paper I have in my kit:
These photos have been sitting on my desk for quite a while and I thought this was the prompt to use the photos :) I used one of the stamping up papers that had the variety color of rectangles on it for matting my photos to bring in colors of that fun snake Buddy is playing with.
 The journaling
 My title work
couple of photos of Buddy enjoying his new toy.
the other photos of Buddy having fun with his toy with Dave :) I thought the crowns that I had in my kit were a good choice to draw your eye to the photos and a good time to use them with my journaling. Lots of hearts on this layout and a couple of alphas for the title, the project life card cut down for the journaling.
Thank you for stopping by today to see what I'm up to in my little corner of the world. Have you put together your counterfeit kit this month? It's a great inspiration kit this month, I've been enjoying my kit very much and got to be one of my favorites I created :) This is my 11th layout from this kit so far.

Dahlia layout for a Lasting Memories Challenge

Hello :) How are you all doing? As you can tell I've been quite busy, but I have been scrapping each day this month as it's a LOAD month :) This layout I created for LOAD and for this Lasting Memories Scrapbook challenge:

LM #382 - Color Me Happy - Purples - use the colors below as the primary colors on your layout. Blacks, whites, neutrals are all a given.

One of my favorite colors :) would think I would use it more in my scrapping but I don't use it enough :) I used these colors on this layout:
This LOAD is to Choose Your Own Scrapbook Adventure and you get a choice of what prompt to scrap :) it's been a fun way to scrap this month :)
LOAD Day4: What have you been surprised by when you examine it closer. Figuring a close up photo would be a great take on this prompt.   I had no large photo available so I used the 2 supporting photos and then the closeup photo on the doily. I used my current counterfeit kit- Pretty Little Pastimes. Day 30 sketch from Christys Beautiful Life 30 days sketch series 2 for this layout.
Close up photos of the layout
All the papers had purple in it besides the beautiful flower too. Finished off a package of enamel dots with this layout and I added some gold with the crate paper hearts on the layout :)
 My journaling
The picture of the full plant. I think this one is gonna be a new favorite to see through the summer.
Thank you for stopping by and seeing what I'm doing in my corner of the world and I look forward to seeing what you create for this fun challenge over at Lasting Memories Scrapbook challenges.

Thompson's Craft Supplies was started by Louise Thompson, with an aim to bring a wider choice of brands, particularly American brands, at affordable prices. This was something which had frustrated her as a crafter; the availability and prices of things in the UK market.

2018 sees the start of a new exciting challenge for the company. We have seen the rise in popularity of mixed media so are focusing more on this to include a monthly mixed media kit. It's something I myself am very passionate about so cannot wait to start.
Find us at: http://thompsoncraftsupplies.co.uk
and on social media:  BLOG   Facebook group  Instagram

Our design team also is doing an collaboration with the design team at Scrap the Boys. We exchanged and combined challenges and had a fabulous time! You will see some of the SID design team used the moodboard from Scrap the Boys as inspiration for their pages.
Here is the Scrap the Boys February challenge:
and here is the sketch that we are using this month:
this is what I created for this sketch:
Amy is a girl that attends my Bible Study Fellowship on Wednesday mornings, she had a problem with her voice and surgery awhile back but over the years has been building it back up to what she had before the surgery. This recital she did more opera than the broadway style singing. Lovely voice she has.
The left side of the layout. . I used the Cheeky Studio Wild Flowers Set 3 for the bits of flowers and leaves scattered around the layout. These are so cute and you get so many of them too :P
The right side of the layout.
 My journaling
close ups. I used the Paris inspired paper in my counterfeit kit: Pretty Little Pastimes. The paper had the perfect pattern to in to mimic the squares in the sketch, used a couple of doilies and the white bows I had in the kit :)
Thank you for stopping by today to see what I'm doing in my little corner of the world :) I look forward to seeing your creation linked up over at Stick It Down.

CKC-February Kit Reveal-Pretty Little Pastimes

Good Morning and welcome to February's Counterfeit Kit Challenge blog. You should have come to my stop from our Guest Designer this month: Monica's blog, I'm looking forward to seeing what she came up with for her kit :)
Our inspirational kit was chosen by our sweet Julene who is enjoying summer right now :) Noel Mignon “Weekend in Paris”
There are 2 choices:
Weekend In Paris Daily Diary Kit (2 in stock)
This is the Daily Diary kit and
 The Classic Scrapbooking kit:
Here is my kit:
Pretty Little Pastimes
My papers:
I chose 5 cardstocks that were similar to the ones in the classic scrapbooking kit, but have the option for more if needed :) From the inspirational kit I seen Floral, Ice Cream cones, Eiffel Tower, Hot Air Balloons, checks, diagonals, dots, hearts and more so I pulled a variety of that style into my own kit finding lots with Eiffel Towers, the Hot Air Balloons are coming from a CTMH picture this kit (their project life) stuck with vintage colors, pinks, reds, mint green, blue, yellow and black.
Die cuts from various sources, lots of butterflies in various forms, Rubons, enamel dots.
I was surprised to see a bottle of stickles in the kit so made sure mine had some too, added bling, speech bubble clips, washi tape, doilies, wood veneer words
Gold Thickers, lots of ribbons, twills and trims.
Lots of word stickers, heart stickers, and a stamp set too, some paper flowers also.
A well rounded kit large enough to help me get through the month of LOAD218.
With the papers I pulled for my kit I was able to eliminate 2 paper pads from my craftroom :)
Thank you for stopping by today and now your off to see what kind of sweet kit Cindy has created from this sweet inspiration over at her blog
and if you get lost Here is the complete blog hop list:
