CKC - June 2025 Kit Reveal - A Blast from the Past

Hello and welcome to my blog, it's the 1st of July and that means it's time for a new inspirational kit for us to counterfeit and make our own for the month. Counterfeit Kit Challenge kit to challenge us to look through our own stash and choose a kit to play with. 1st you should have arrived here from Ryann's instagram. I'm looking forward to checking out her kit. But first I would like to welcome our guest Master Forger this month, Kate Blue, a former master forger, I know she's gonna have an awesome kit, we can all check it out over at her InstagramSo onto the kit!

Julene is our host this month she thought we could try something different.

FLASHBACK MONTH

Instead of choosing a current kit to scrapbook I've gone back into the archives and chosen July 2014's kit to look at again. The kit was from Noel Mignon and named Balboa.

As you can see it is bright with a tropical Carribean flavour. Perfect for those summer photos.

IDEAS

How we approached it back in July 2014 and how YOU forge it now could be different.

Maybe it's time to go through your old papers.

What a great idea! I checked back on my blog for what I put together that month, you can check it out here if you like. I definitely had a different vibe to that one more blues than the kit I put together this time. Here is my kit for July:

A Blast from the Past

The reds, the teals and yellow with the black chalkboard stuff that was so popular back then and is now coming back made for a cool color scheme to work with. I went to my color drawers as I know my older stash is there. Lots of chipboard, found some chalkboard style with the PL cards and the chipboard from Vicki Boutin's Printshop collection also grab some Fernwood collection embellishments for the butterflies. The papers:
Founds some cardstock in the drawers and lots of older paper too which will be fun to use with some current paper from a warehouse box I got a couple of month's ago and get that used too. Lot of geometrics back then: dots, stripes and then the florals. I added a 6x6 paper pad too plus the end of NJFB kit that had the colors that would bring in some newer paper too.
From Vicki Boutin's Fernwood collection the chipboard, the flat stickers and sticker book as I don't have much paper left thought this would work well with this collection.
Chipboard pieces and I found some speech bubbles too!
Wood veneer, ribbon, washi tape and a fabric flower also some glitter markers that I want to try out and use on the chipboard.
Enamel dots, sequins and gems.
Grabbed a cutfile that were triangles as one of the papers in the kit was triangles, also grabbed a red alpha like the kit.
I knew I had chalkboard PL cards, didn't realized I had a whole pack of them so brought those into the kit too! Would like to tackle quite a few of this cards throughout the month of July. So that is my kit. Should be fun to play with, I'll decide photos that I want to scrap with it during the 1st week of the month as I'm up early for the challenge this month with the 1st one on the 12th. See you then! Now off you go and check out what Brandi Jo put together you can catch her over on her Instagram. The list is below if you want to check out what the other master forgers are doing.

Kramer Bridge LO for a Counterfeit Kit Challenge

Hello and welcome to my blog! Love doing the sketch challenge over at Counterfeit Kit Challenge and this month did not disappoint!  This month, Tara has us using the 30 Days of Sketches, Series 18, Day 22 sketch.  This sketch was created by Fatima Oliveira Avila.

Gotta love a 2 page sketch for those times you have a bunch of photos!

I was inspired by the design of the sketch and used that for my background. Added a few more photos to the layout. Used some fun nature embellishments and words from my kit. The paper was perfect for the for the wood floor of the bridge inside the bridge.

Thank you for stopping by today and seeing what I'm up to in my little corner of the world. I hope you join us over at Counterfeit Kit Challenge blog for this fun challenge.

Jingle All the Way card for a Sketch N Scrap challenge

Good morning and welcome to my blog :) Made a Christmas card with one of the older sketches over at Sketch and Scrap can certainly be fun. First here is the sketch I chose:

Perfect for one of those 3x4 cards that come with Christmas paper collections :)
I cut down the 3x4 to where the writing and the decoration is added some ribbon for some glitter and using a tree I made last year for my Christmas card swap. Yes this is a fantastic sketch for a cute card.

Thanks for stopping by today to see what I created and can't wait to see what you create from this cool sketch over at Sketch N Scrap blog.

So Happy Together LO for Sketch N Scrap challenge

Good morning and welcome to my blog. We been seeing lots of rain this Spring weather here in PA another rainy weekend it is. It would be great to see the sun out a bit on the weekends too, not just the week days. Today is another throw back sketch over at Sketch and Scrap blog. I chose to do sketch #107 from June 2016 for my layout inspiration.

I love sketches that are multiphoto and pretty sure that is what drew me to this sketch.
I added an extra photo to my layout. A day at Hershey PA with my sister this was right before we headed in Chocolate World. I used paper from my counterfeit kit and used the stickers I got from there in the Chocolate World along with the pressed penny for my embellishments.

Thanks for stopping by today to see what I created and can't wait to see what you create from this cool sketch over at Sketch N Scrap blog.

Hey hey and welcome to my blog, it's the 1st of June and that means it's time for a new inspirational kit for us to counterfeit and make our own for the month. Counterfeit Kit Challenge kit to challenge us to look through our own stash and choose a kit to play with. 1st you should have arrived here from Tara's blog. I'm looking forward to checking out her kit and she's our hostess this month and she choose a fabulous kit for us to forge this month. But first I would like to welcome our guest Master Forger this month, MK Gunn. I've had the pleasure to meet MK in person for the first time at a retreat a long time ago, but recently enjoyed her company and her teaching at the 2 scrappy cruises I've been on this year and last year. She also is a the owner of Some Assemblage Required and creates some of the coolest wood veneer and acrylic out there for sale. We are so glad she joined us this month.

This month, I, Master Forger Tara am in charge of the blog and I have chosen a fun kit from Not Just For Boys Kit Club.  I chose their August 2023 kit, "Intrinsic" Limitless Kit.  Here are a few photos of the kit.

Main Kit

Love all the nature related elements in this kit :) Here is my kit for June:

It's All Good

I love the inspiration this month, perfect for all the Spring photos that I have taken lately :)
The papers I pulled for this kit plus not shown are the few I had left over from last month's kit that works perfect for this month's inspiration.
Close up of the Pinkfresh Studio Simply the Best embellishments which feature some of those natual elements and the colors of the kit.
Close up of the chosen stencils, stamp and die cut set for this month which I have got them at MK's shop. Some 49&Market pieces in that picture too.
Closeup of the bits and pieces from the kit, lots of frames, rainbows and wordy bits.
Close of all those full icons bits lost of mushrooms and other nature bits and I found this specialty piece that had rainbows on it
Found a few flair and some fun chipboard for the kit too.

Thanks for stopping by today and seeing what I'm up to in my little corner of the world. I'm last on the list of hoppers, if you missed any you can see the list below. We look forward to seeing what you come up with for the inspiration, your always welcome to post over at the CKC communly facebook group

See the World LO for Sketch N Scrap challenge

Good morning and welcome to my blog. We been seeing lots of rain, just about every day it's raining. It would be great to see the sun out a bit this weekend. Today is Birthday Bash 13 sketch #3 over at Sketch and Scrap blog. A fun sketch with lots of photos.

Love everything about this sketch! So this is my creation:
Using my current counterfeit kit Gotta Get Away I scrapped the pictures I took of Galveston, TX on our way to the pier to get to the ship. It was cool to see the old buildings along the way, lovely church, that cool street sign and a old factory building. I used pieces from my cruise album kit too.

Thanks for stopping by today to see what I created and can't wait to see what you create from this cool sketch over at Sketch N Scrap blog.
