CKC - March 2025 Kit Reveal - Cruisin' Through Life

Welcome to my blog and a new month of Counterfeit Kit Challenge kit to challenge us to look through our own stash and choose a kit to play with. 1st you should have arrived here from Tara's blog. I'm looking forward to checking out her kit. Christine is also our hostess this month. But first I would like to welcome our guest Master Forger this month, Martha Saenz. You can check out her creations over on her Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/msaenzmd

Master Forger Ryann is our hostess this month and she has chosen a fun kit, just perfect for me as I just came back from a cruise and it fits our album collection well. Our inspiration kit for the month is from Sweet Shoppe Designs . I chose the Beach Tale Collection by Kristin Cronin-Barrow. While this is a digital kit (and I have some of it) there is plenty to counterfeit from our stash!

This one spoke to me since it looks like Hawaii - and I just got back from my first trip to Hawaii in February!  My husband and I hadn't been before, and we went for his birthday.  And speaking of birthdays, March is my birthday month, so we will use this kit for birthday layouts, too!   I know that not everyone has tropical photos to scrapbook, but this kit looks really versatile - lots of wood grains in different colors, water that can be pool photos, and there are two collections in this kit - one that is softer pastels, the other that is a little more bold.  There is enough of both pink and blue to appeal to nearly anyone!  The woodgrain and browns gives enough neutral options to make the whole kit great for a variety of layouts.

Kit overview:

Kit 1 - High Tides

Kit 2 - Good Vibes

The perfect choice for me this month and will work out well with my cruise photos. I love the colors and swooned over the color woodgrain paper. Here is my kit for March:

Cruisin' Through Life

The papers: There is alot. 38 full sheets and a bunch of scraps along with a Paper pad I got at Christmas time.

Variety of Close ups:
I got a scrapbook kit on the ship so I added that to this kit.

Stencils, Pocket cards, Stickers too.
Lots of odds and ends here. Frames, flowers, and a chipboard set I got as a gift.
A bunch of Wood veneer and acrylic from Some Assemblage Required plus a few items from the advent calendar I received from the same shop.
Frames, Tickets, Chipboard and more stencils

A few flair too. Gonna be a fun month of scrapping. Waiting on my 1st batch of photos to arrive. Thanks for stopping by today and seeing what I'm up to in my little corner of the world. I'm the end of the hop, and we look forward to seeing what you come up with for the inspiration, your always welcome to post over at the CKC communly facebook group

Your the Best card for a Sketch N Scrap challenge

Good Morning as of this moment I'm on a huge boat sailing in the Western Caribbean. Yes to 80 degree weather and hopefully sunshine too. We are changing things up over at Sketch N Scrap doing some throw back sketches with a twist with the end of month sketches. I chose to do sketch #86 from November 2016 for my card inspiration and the twist is to use Black and White and one other color on the card, I chose to use blue.

The card I created I used scraps from my 100 Pattern paper pile from last year.
I used a white embossed base and added the black and blue scraps for this card. My sweet friend will be getting this card before I leave on my vacation. Scrappy friends are the best!

Thanks for stopping by today to see what I created and can't wait to see what you create from this cool sketch over at Sketch N Scrap blog.

Golden Pork Chops LO for Sketch N Scrap challenge

Good Morning, halfway through Febuary already! It's been another cold month here in PA. Lots of prepping for a cruise I'm going on. We are changing things up over at Sketch N Scrap doing some throw back sketches with a twist. I chose to do sketch #236 from November 2021 for my layout inspiration and the twist was to use items for the word H-E-A-R-T.

This is what I created using this sketch:

Using my current Counterfeit Kit and some pieces from last month's kit I was able to put this layout together of a recipe I just tried in October 2024 and have to say it was very tasty and easy to make :)

A Mini kit for Counterfeit Kit Challenge

Good morning and welcome to my blog. I'm on Mini Kit duty this month over at Counterfeit Kit Challenge blog. As I wasn't sure how much scrapping from a normal kit I would get done with my vacation this month too. I love the kit that Master Forger Misty chose this month.

We are working with this month.

Kitaholic Kits' May 2024 kit

This is the kit I pulled together most of the paper came from 2 paper pads.
Love the neutrals with the pops of blues and yellow. I added Cocoa Vanilla to my kit just like the inspiration kit had just a different collection. I created this double page layout of an exhibit at the local Museum I went to in 2023.
Using the neutrals for the background and the colors for the accents. I brought in some wood veneer and metal gears along with the clocks from Some Assemblage Reqiured too.
Closeup of part of the layout.
Some of the history of the Pennsylvania Canal system in my area.
Thank you for stopping by today and seeing what I'm up to in my little corner of the world. I hope you join us over at Counterfeit Kit Challenge blog for this fun challenge.

New Recipe LO for a Counterfeit Kit Challenge

It's the last challenge of the month over at Counterfeit Kit Challenge. I started off my kit with the addition of scraps and when I had time to scrap this month it was a quick way to create a layout with already having scraps on hand.

Per our hostess this month: Our final challenge for the month of January.   We always like to finish out the month with the Scraps Challenge.  Use the scraps you've accumulated this month on your project.  I’m always impressed with what can be accomplished using just scraps!

I used a hexagon punch for alot of my little scraps to make the border and used a larger scrap for my photo matting. A few embellishments from my kit and the text conversation that my nephew and I had on facebook for my journaling.

Thank you for stopping by today and seeing what I'm up to in my little corner of the world. I hope you join us over at Counterfeit Kit Challenge blog for this fun challenge.

We are changing things up over at Sketch N Scrap doing some throw back sketches with a twist with the end of month sketches. I chose to do sketch #114 from January 202018 for my card inspiration and the twist is to used either Birthday or Hello/Thinking of You on the card.

Fantastic sketch for a Hello card:

Good Reading Ahead LO for Sketch N Scrap challenge

Good Morning, halfway through January already! It's been a cold month here in PA. Lots of scrappy time then plus some organization time too. We are changing things up over at Sketch N Scrap doing some throw back sketches with a twist. I chose to do sketch #240 from January 2022 for my layout inspiration and the twist was to use paper atleast a year old.

Isn't this a fun sketch by Lisa :) I was able to use the paper from my counterfeit kit for this layout which included some scraps too. I'm using some PinkFresh Studio papers that are from 2019 and 2021 so worked well for the the older paper challenge.
Scrapping about another love, my love of reading and I was so glad I come across the rest of my books when I was emptying out some boxes right before the holiday. Plenty of good reading ahead there on those shelves.
Thanks for stopping by today to see what I created and can't wait to see what you create from this cool sketch over at Sketch N Scrap blog.
