CKC - January 2026 Kit Reveal -Bric-a-Brac

 Let us each welcome the new year and to make the most of every day.  Welcome to my blog and to a new year! Happy 2026! 2026 starts us off with a New Year of Counterfeit Kit Challenge kits to challenge us to look through our own stash and choose a kit to play with. 1st you should have arrived here from Ryann's instagram channel I'm looking forward to checking out her kit. Our host this month is Vikki and she has chosen a collection for us to counterfeit. This is what she has to say about it: 

The inspiration kit is a brand new one.  It's Curiosities in Willow Grove by Vicki Boutin for 49 and Market.  https://49andmarket.com/collections/curiosities-in-willow-grove/ It's a beautiful kit, but I won't be getting it any time soon.  So what better time to counterfeit it?  My challenge to all of you who have it is to not use your kit. LOL

 So this collection I do have, just purchased it in October. So Its interesting to be challenged in a way to not use it. So considering who put it together Vicki Boutin I thought about Fernwood for a start. Then a nod to 49&Market I used the Vintage Orchard collection because of the fall vibe to it. Brought in the purple through embellishments from the Viken collection. The rest is all a mixmash. Here is my kit for January:

Bric-a-Brac

Here is the full kit. I have lots of paper, lots of scraps, a bunch of embellishments and some powders I would like to try. I will be work with my 2025 SAR advent calendar pieces too throughout the month. Those can be seen on my instagram page. 

Here are the papers. So glad to see the scraps from the Fernwood collection to get me started on the January Baby Got Scraps youtube series, the vintage orchard is on top plus the page kit collection. LOts of odd ball papers in the center finishing off with Fernwood. Total of 30 12X12 papers.

1st closeup is the Viken embellishments and the powders I want to try. 

 This one is of the Fernwood embellishments got a bunch of those yet to use. 

The embellishments that came in the page kit. Lots of laser cuts and diecuts. 

This is an Add-on kit with 6x6 paper pad, diecuts and vellum pieces and a stamp set, though the colors worked well too. This year it's all about using up the collections I have that are almost gone. Yep need room for those new collections that will be coming out soon. That's it, that's my kit for January and I'm looking forward to playing with as I already have some pictures set aside for it so I can start scrapping first thing!

Merry Christmas card for a Sketch N Scrap challenge

I've been having fun playing with one of the smaller Christmas paper pads this year for my cards. It's an older pad, but the papers just don't seem to go out of style.

Lovely Moments LO for Sketch N Scrap challenge

Good morning and welcome to my blog. Its been cold, cold, cold! here in PA. Can't believe it's halfway through December already this year just flew by! Today is another throw back sketch over at Sketch and Scrap blog. I chose to do sketch #262 from December 2022 for my layout inspiration. I added an extra photo to the sketch:

There is some pretty cool uniqueness in nature when I'm walking and love that I can scrap those moments too. Using my 100 pattern paper pile, some wood veneer and acrylic for my current advent calendar and some 49&Market diecuts and chipboard for this fun layout.

HoHoHo card for a Sketch N Scrap challenge

Good morning and welcome to my blog :) Made a Christmas card with one of the older sketches over at Sketch and Scrap can certainly be fun. First here is the sketch I chose: 

 This is the card I made: 

Its been fun this year creating Christmas cards from scraps of things. Scraps of papers, scraps of cutaparts and scraps of ribbon too.. Used the last stickers from a sticker sheet when I added the Santa and the star. I think this one will be a good one for the Son and DIL.

Using Vicki Boutin's Discover and Create collection for this layout of seeing Fall happening before my eyes first time in 2025. Cool how you see the seasons change when you walk the same area for the past year.

Happiest LO for a Counterfeit Kit Challenge

 Good morning and welcome to my blog. When you see this I'll be having fun on a scrappy vacation and in warmer weather too. Well it's the end of October and the last challenge that we have over at Counterfeit Kit Challenge blog the Baby Use Those Scraps! Just used 2 scraps on this layout. 

I used today's sketch from #30dscbl19 for my inspiration, rotated it one time for my pictures orientation. 

I enjoyed scraping this trip this month :) Hopefully by this time all the layouts from this trip is completed.
