CKC - April 2026 Kit Reveal - Whats Cookin'

 Good morning! Happy May! Welcome back to my blog, busy busy busy lately with work so not got to enjoy the weather as much as I would have liked last month. It's the 1st so that means it's a new month and a new kit to counterfeit. You'll find the hop list at the end of the post :) 

 Let's kick off the month with our inspiration... the Echo Park Mom's Kitchen collection. While this kit has a very specific theme as always we encourage you to make it your own. 

Misty is our host this month and this is what she says about her choice: There is a story behind this kit choice! I chose this kit as nod to Thanksgiving when I was supposed to host in November. However, schedules changed and I swapped for May hosting. I decided this kit could still work with bolder colors heading toward summer. Plus with Mother's Day in May the title of Mom's Kitchen felt just right. So glad it worked out.

Merry Christmas with Stars card for a Sketch N Scrap challenge

Good morning and welcome to my blog :) Made a Christmas card with one of the older sketches over at Sketch and Scrap can certainly be fun. First here is the sketch I chose:

I had fun creating this with that one piece of paper and the embellishments. The back side of the cookies paper is those punched out green stars. Made for a fast card.

The Sea is Calling LO for Sketch N Scrap challenge

Good morning and welcome to my blog. It's been so great is to have summery weather in Spring. Its been great to have the heat off and the windows open. Today is another throw back sketch over at Sketch and Scrap blog. I chose to do sketch #55 for my layout inspiration. 

Isn't this a cool sketch! I love a multiphoto sketch. This is what I created: 

Instead of the tags in the sketch I used this fun cutfile. Playing along with Kit Conspiracy this month and this week its a pirate style collection so I made sure to get these pictures scrapped from my Lake Seneca Lake cruises day trip. This was the greeter for the gift shop and had to get a selfie with him!

CKC - April 2026 Kit Reveal - Springtime Delight

Happy April! With it comes April showers, I'll take that over snow any day of the week! Yay to spring flowers and spring birds arriving in my area, to warmer days and walking daily. It's April 1st and no fools day here, check out the inspiration kit that our MF Julene has decided for us this month for Counterfeit Kit Challenge kit for this month. This is the challenge for us to look through our own stash and choose a kit to play with. 1st you should have arrived here from Tara's blog I'm looking forward to checking out her kit. Our guest forger this month is Diana you can find her over at our facebook group.

 Julene says: Welcome to another month at CKC.  Our kit for April is Life Crafted FLEA MARKET FINDINGS 6" x 8" Pattern Paper – Citrus Twist Kits  I've chosen it because it made me think of spring and Easter. There are fresh blues, gorgeous florals, plus golds and yellows.

The embellishments are light on for this kit but you can choose items that co-ordinate I am sure.

K is for Kit LO for Sketch N Scrap challenge

Good morning and welcome to my blog. It's been an up and down month so far with the weather. A tease of summer and then winter is back but I did see my 1st Robin so Spring is on it's way! Today is another throw back sketch over at Sketch and Scrap blog. I chose to do sketch #196 for my layout inspiration. I turned the sketch to work with my photos: 

This is what I created from the sketch: 

Lots of mixed media on this layout. Using a stencil with acrylic paint and then using it again with distress oxide ink on the pattern paper was a fun test. Used some lace too. I shifted over my pictures section of the sketch to utilize that K in the pattern paper for my title. My papers came from my 100 pattern paper pile and the embellishments came from extras in the kit that wasn't used for the class layouts.

 Happy March! Spring is on it's way!
