Dog Lover

Yes I would have to say we are :) We love our Furpooch Buddy :) He adorns my instagram and facebook accounts quite often. It would be a very quiet house with out him. So this LOAD came from inspiration I seen on the LOAD flicker group, a girl had done a layout about the way her dog talks and Yep they do have their own language so I knew I had these fun pictures of Buddy from November that you can see his language in his expressions and stance. So this is LOAD day 18: Language.
This is our Buddy waiting for a snack that we always get him when we attend the club's annual banquet. A friend does homemade dog biscuits and we make sure we get the package each year in the white elephant auction. It is the one gift that I will pay any amount for cause it's for Buddy and well worth the cost :) and were donating to the club a win win. This was the last year he'll be getting those as she is retiring from her business and selling it.
The sketch I used is from Let's Get Sketchy and it's the Week 2 Sketch

I seen one of the designers used layers of paper for the right hand side and that inspired me for my layout. As I like to use larger photos I changed it up a bit to fit my layout but the base of the sketch is there.
Yes our dog is spoiled and spoiled well :) I like that fun word block and added for one of my paper layers. The journaling is about Buddy's language. He very good at letting you know what he wants if you can understand his language :) Since this was a Christmas party I added the Santa washi tape it's a reminder for me what the event was taking place. cute vellum sticker that says it all :)
I did a lot of up-cycling on this layout (I'm thinking that is what it's called when you recycling things and adding it to your project) The Dog Love and Linda's card was on the front of the bag at the auction this lended very well for a title to my layout. Scraps of dog papers that were in my stash. The blue heart paper was a leftover scrap from last month's counterfeit kit and the journaling paper above is from one of the current kit's 6X6 paper pads. I added a variety of embellishments to this layout. The greenribbon with the bow and the red ribbon both came from the dog basket's gift bag closure. Also added a heart to cover the pie plates on the table in the picture (that is in my current kit) a sticker and some old metal tags to finish off the layout.
This was so much fun to do and LOAD prompted this layout, I don't know if I would have had the prompt if I would have done the layout, but I'm sure glad I did :)

  2. What a fun and super cute layout Tina! I love the pictures of Buddy waiting patiently for his treat. lol Reminds me of our dog. The sentiment at the top says it all, I know our furbaby has us "well trained" as well. Love that you added some Christmas washi tape, but that it isn't a Christmas layout. Great way to use the washi. This looks like a fun sketch and I am loving all the different things you have used on this layout. Hugs, Brenda
