1st Holiday Visiting for Sketches in Thyme Project Life Style Challenge

Good morning! Happy Thursday to you, just little over a week now till Christmas, I hope you all are ready cause at this house we aren't close to being ready !!? Yes this year it is coming way to fast so every extra minute will be dedicated to wrapping, or decorating, or cleaning and there will be the occasional card to make too! I would like to get some tags done up also but the time just might not be there to get that done so just maybe going out to buy some tags! Depending on who's packages get wrapped over the next few days. But in the mean time I have been getting my DT projects done. For today's Sketches in Thyme Project Life Style Sketch Challenge the reveal of Sketch #55 by the fabulous, Susanne Brauer..... Here is what I did with the sketch:
I used the sketch to create my journaling card for my layout. This layout is from Christmas past, (following with Counterfeit Kit Challenge blog and creating a layout about Christmas Past with my Christmas 2016 100 challenge. It was grreat using a sketch from one of the CKC Mater Forgers too:
This sketch is open for your creative interpretation! Just make sure to link it up over at Sketches in Thyme Project Life Style to be in for the prize :)
Here is the layout attached to that journaling card:
I used an old sketch over at Sketch N Scrap blog for my layout Sketch #111. This is pictures of a visit with Brad and Katherine and a young Zachary, he was just about 5 months old in the family picture (he is now 6 yrs old). The B&W photo has a happy Pappy looking on. So glad to capture moments like this and it's fun to reminisce when doing layouts with old photos. As I not kept up with Christmas scrapping that you'll see many of these layouts over the next month as I start building up my Family Christmas Album. Love the layering of the layout and the sprinkling of sequins and thickers dots about the layout.
Thank you for stopping by and seeing what I'm up too in my little corner of the world.....

Christmas 100 challenge-Paper and Embellishments

Hello :) Are you doing a Dec Daily this year? any Christmas scrapping? how about Christmas cards? Christmas tags? I say yes to all 4 questions :) Yes I'm going to do a Dec Daily for 2016. I pulled my papers and my embellishments for it and the challenge over at the 100 Pattern Paper Challenge Facebook Group. We have a current Christmas challenge of 100 paper and/or embellishments to use from your stash for you Christmas creating this year. For me that includes January to get all my Christmas pictures scrapped. Probably February there will be a new 100 challenge.
This is the 50 pieces of paper I pulled from my stash for my Christmas kit: 31 papers will be used for my foundation papers for my Dec Daily which is an 8X8 album this year. This album has been in my stash for since I can remember when I started scrapping in 2007, thinking I either got it on sale or in a swap.
A wide variety of colors to work with and as we have a daily challenge over at the facebook group should have no trouble getting them to work with in the album, left overs will go to cards and tags either for this month or for next year. Trying to use all my Christmas stamps atleast once this year, instead of letting them sit and get dusty.
The embellishments range from a couple of 6X6 paper pads, a Project Life Christmas pack, an old Christmas card kit I got when I was first creating cards maybe 2009 era. a variety pack of doilies, vellum tape. various rhinestone packages, a few bags of Christmas goodies I got at yard sales this past year, stickers from various companies and in various colors, lots of trims and ribbons, sequins, skittles, beads, die cuts, and lots of other things.
After the Christmas holiday and all the necessary things around the house that need done before guests arrive I look forward to creating more with the kit than the time I have right now to create, except for the occasional DT project and a need card to send out. I know I got 1 day that I need to make tags. will be using my manual cutter for that this year. Lots of wrapping to do this week.
I will be playing along with Counterfeit Kit Challenge as they are having a daily blog post about Christmas with their Master Forgers that so far has been fun to read
and I'll be getting inspiration for my Dec Daily from Let's Dec Daily I'm a little behind on the blog posts but have some time this week to catch up and see what the girls have been creating
Let's December Daily Badge
I have also signed up for Shimelle's Journal Your Christmas class so the days I don't have anything I can draw from those prompts. It's gonna be a fun Christmas crafting season and with the new job a different outlook too.
Just a couple more weeks left! where did the time go this month!

A Fun Yard Sale Find - LM 323

Good Morning and welcome :) Ah the hustle and bustle of the Christmas season is under way in our house, making Christmas cookies today and tomorrow, got packages to wrap, the house to clean, cards to mail out, the house to decorate, a work Christmas Party to attend, some shopping left to do and a menu to plan for Christmas Eve :) and 2 weeks to cram it all in! yep tis the season! How is your list coming along? I did find time in my busy schedule to still do some scrappin and craftin when I can, it gives me peace and relaxation to be in my craftroom.
Today is a new challenge over at Lasting Memories Scrapbook Challenge blog and For December we have been doing a "Best Of 2016" theme, and bringing back some of our most popular challenges from this year. This week's challenge is:
LM 323 - Use only 4 photos - no more, no less
This is the layout I made in conjunction with a challenge over at the Rocking Holiday Crop on facebook for Sketch N Scrap. That challenge was a bingo card and a sketch:
This was created with my Counterfeit kit: Falltoberfest, so this also came out of my 100 Pattern Paper challenge using 4 papers and a scrap too.Oh my gosh I bought this Dino at a yard sale for 50 cents for the grandboys when they visit, we wanted to try it out to see if it worked and when Dave was trying it and it moved here comes Buddy checking it out. To Fun! well worth the money just in that little bit of time with Buddy. Now it's put up for the kids to play with :)
From Sketch N Scrap here is the sketch I used:
From Dec 1, 2013 (part of the bingo row I choose)
 Part of the journaling
 My title work
 The subtitle
Priceless Buddy having fun with the remote action Dino :) I used the color combo of the Dino for my layout. Thank you for stopping by today and I wish you a fantastic day today :)

She is Fearless! Lasting Memories Scrapbook Challenge

Good Morning :) and welcome. I apologize for the lax in blogging but it's been a long week at work :) So no time to chat here this past week. Today is Lasting Memories Scrapbook Challenge blog the challenge this week is:
LM - 322 - Use One Photo
This challenge is from our "All About The Photos" theme from May. Just use one photo on your layout this week.
This is one I created:
Emily our Great-Grandaughter figured out how to use the dog door after watching the dog do it a few times! LOL this girl is something else so much like her Mom :) It's always special to see pictures like this up on facebook as we live in PA and these great grands live in South Dakota. Some day we'll get there to see them :). So this layout came from LOAD1016 Day 17: Wet your Appetite: Misting
Pink and Gold Heidi Swapp color shine mist added to the layout. Pink sprayed on and gold in droplets. Our Great Granddaughter being herself :) She is adventurous. This was a fun layout to do and didn't take to long to put together neither :) 1 sheet a pattern paper, a scrap of vellum paper and a scrap of pattern paper too.
A 3X4 card for the journaling and the circled letters were cut from another pattern paper that had lots of words on it :) Everything came from my October counterfeit kit Flower Power and I used a paper from the 100 paper challenge that I'm working with :) Which is on hold at the moment as I'm working on Christmas craftyness :)
Thank you for stopping by today and I hope to see your creation over at Lasting Memories too
