Big Adventure LO for a Counterfeit Kit Challenge

Our 3rd challenge over at Counterfeit Kit is a Sketch challenge. Master Forger Ryann here with our monthly sketch challenge. This is the double page sketch she chose to work with this month. Remember, a sketch is just a jumping off point, you don't have to follow it exactly - if you'd prefer to just use one half, or combine elements from both sides onto one page - you may! Whatever works for you and the page you are creating.

this is the layout I created with this sketch:
I thought that the stenciling in the sketch was cool and I wanted to add it to my layout too. Used some stamping too for a cool addition to the layout also. Pictures from what looks like a fort at Labadee, Haiti during the walking tour.
Left side of the layout I used a acrylic painted background for the striping in the sketch and then added the stenciling using a stencil from Scrapping Reflections.
The right side of the layout I added more steciling and stamping with the 3 photos with lots of ephemera.  Thank you for stopping by today and seeing what I'm up to in my little corner of the world. I hope you join us over at Counterfeit Kit Challenge blog for this fun challenge.

So Magical LO for a Counterfeit Kit Challenge

Good morning and welcome to the blog. It's the 2nd challenge of the month over at Counterfeit Kit Challenge blog. Master Forger Ryann is in charge this month and this is her challenge:

It's time for Challenge #2. The Moonlit Collection is full of bold brights and dark nights.  One of the digital cards in the collection says, “Everything is Magical Under the Stars.”  Use this quote as the launching point of your layout - the title, the mood, the subject, whatever!  Draw on those dark nights and maybe even the bold colors!

Everything is Magical under the Stars when you are on a Cruise! The one show that we saw was literally under the stars :) so I added Magical to my title and went with the star theme. I knew this kit was perfect for the night time photos and was great to start off this adventure. The night was perfect for the show too.

Thank you for stopping by today and seeing what I'm up to in my little corner of the world. I hope you join us over at Counterfeit Kit Challenge blog for this fun challenge.

Wanderlust LO for Sketch N Scrap challenge

Good Morning and welcome. Here we are in the middle of July, like everyone else in the US we've been having some heatwaves this Summer :) for me I like when it's warm so I'm not complaining to much other than at work. We got a fun challenge layout over at Sketch N Scrap for the day. This sketch was created by Lori

Such a cool sketch to be playing with I enjoyed creating this layout:
I had this one photo from CocoCay from the cruise that was perfect for the sketch using various items in my current counterfeit kit and my stash to represent the variety of the wood poles on the pier heading back to the ship :) The background paper was made a couple of months ago, its nice to have some mixed media papers on hand just for stuff like this.

Thanks for stopping by today to see what I created and can't wait to see what you create from this cool sketch over at Sketch N Scrap blog.

CKC - July 2024 Kit Reveal - Good Vibes Only

Welcome to my blog and the 1st of July! 1st of the month means it's time for a new inspiration for us over at Counterfeit Kit Challenge kit to challenge us to look through our own stash and choose a kit to play with. 1st you should have arrived here from Tara's Blog I'm looking forward to checking out her kit and see what inspired her. We are thrilled to have Lacy Stockton join us as Guest Forger I look forward to seeing what she creates.

Master Forger Ryann is our host this month and she has chosen a cool kit, here is what she says about it:.

For this month's inspiration kit, I have chosen Moonlit Collection by Traci Reed. I chose this kit because July is full of summer nights and celebrations for so many of us. It is delights of color, even in the dark -  which I love - and I hope you do too.

There are so many evening activities in the summer - camping and stargazing, fireworks for some, and camp fires, singing around them, s'mores, sunsets, and fireflies - to name a few!

Here's a look at what we get to work with.

I love this inspirational kit, love the mix of the cool colors with accents of the warm colors. These will be perfect for my night photos from the cruise in February 2024. Here is my kit for July:

Good Vibes Only

With my list in hand, I knew I had 3 paper pads that have these similiar colors and that is where I started. Plus I brought in some Cocoa Vanilla No Limits collection for all the stars, moons and outer space stuff that was in the kit :)
I tried to stay within the colors of the inspirational kit's papers. My stripes are a bit more brighter in color will be a good combination with this dark papers.

I pulled alot of flair this month vs the buttons in the inspirational kit.
Close up of the sequins, some diecuts, acrylics, stickers, chipboard, enamels and some cool peace brads that I know exactly what pictures they will be used with. The No Limits collection I have a bunch of embellishments in my stash, must have bought 2 kits at one time so thought it was time to start getting some of it used up.
The ribbons and trims I chose, a little bit of ricrac too. I know I have gold ricrac somewhere in my stash just haven't found it yet :) so I can assume it's in a box I haven't unpacked yet. There is some more No Limits collection in this photo too, the diecut words and diecuts.
My chosen alphas this month. I had a blast curating this kit and plan to enjoy scrapping all throughout the month.

Thanks for stopping by today to my little corner of the world. off you go to Vicki's instagram to see the kit she has pulled, if you get lost along the way the blog list is below. We look forward to seeing what you come up with for your kit this month at the CKC
