Demolition Derby LO for Sketch N Scrap challenge

Good Morning and welcome :) This is the 2nd layout sketch for the month over at Sketch N Scrap. We have a fantastic sketch from Heather Hall this month to play with here:
 No photo description available.
This is what I created with it :
Went to the local fair in July 2018 and this is the 2nd Heat as they call it :) The 4X6 cylinders are a cool looking car and they last a long time too in the Derby but it was exciting too.
Used both my current counterfeit kit and last month's kit for the orange background paper. Got 4 more pictures from this heat so will be making this into a double page layout.
Thanks for stopping by today and seeing what I'm up too in my corner of the world. I look forward to seeing what you create from this fun sketch.

CKC - July Kit Reveal - Playing in the Dirt

Good Morning and welcome to a new month, a new day and a new kit inspiration. You should have arrived her from Tara's blog. We like to welcome our guest Forger this month: the lovely Jess Claire and you can find Jess at Jess Claire Creates, Instagram and YouTube.
Claire is our host this month and she has provide a different type of inspiration this month: the truly beautiful 'Garden Party' Kit from Sahin Designs, as the inspiration kit. It's a wonderful mix of neutrals and it feels so different to the colorful 'summer' kits that are often released for July.

Neutrals isn't something I'm usually drawn to, but when I seen the inspiration I knew that I wanted the My Mind's Eye Gingham Farm as my base to my kit :) From there I raided my color drawers Brown, Black and White/Creams to round out the kit. So here is my kit for July:
 Playing in the Dirt
I stayed pretty true to the colors of the inspirational kit, with the B&W, Browns and Greens
Here are the papers
Chose to grab some of the red from the inspirational kit with in the paper and the embellishments. More die cuts in the kit but I do have texture with the wood veneer and the cork alphas.
I grabbed the acrylic paint I had on my desk along with the 6X6 paper pad which will bring in more of that red in the kit as well. Few washi tapes and some puffy stickers to complete my kit :) I see alot of garden pictures scrapped this month. I'm blessed to have a few leftovers from last month that I can bring right into this kit :) Thanks for stopping by today and I hope you'll join us and create your own version of this inspiration. Now off you go and see what Tracey has curated on her blog

Now, let's see everyone's take on the kit! I'm so excited!

Our Wonderful World LO for CKC Challenge #1

Good Morning and welcome :) The 1st challenge for Counterfeit Kit Challenge is here! for this month and Tara has challenged us for the 1st challenge of the month with:
Wonderful World
Create a layout about the wonderful world that you live in.  This could be a layout about the beauty of the natural world.  You could create a layout about the world you created-home, work, etc.  Let your creative juices flow!!
Our inspirational kit featured  Paper and embellishments from Alexandra Renke of Germany my kit include two of her papers and those papers are beautiful, so I wanted the paper to shine besides the photo I chose and my story to add to it.
My base paper wiht those beautiful flowers and all those words about Hope and Spring, things we needed at that time with the starting of the Covid-19 here in the states and we had a stay at home order in place too.
The layout I created feature a picture of us walking in our world as we normally do, this was the Saturday after Good Friday. This is Our Wonderful World where we are most happiest and during our favorite season too :) To this layout I added the 3 rainbows I had for part of my embellishment cluster as well as some butterflies in various forms. A few word phrases too. I don't do single photo layouts to often, but this paper deserves all the attention.
Close up of my journaling, All the elements to this layout came from my kit Rain or Shine and if you created a kit we would love to have you join in for this fun challenge. Check out Counterfeit Kit Challenge blog for what the other forgers created for this fun challenge

CKC - June Kit Reveal - Rain or Shine

If you are looking for the Sketch N Scrap post you can find it here
Hello and welcome it is June! Hello June. It's great to see everything turning green and the trees are starting to fill in. We are seeing the birth of new birds at the feeders when we see the adult feeding the youngster.
The beginning of the new month brings also a new kit to play with for Counterfeit Kit  Challenge blog. You should have arrived here from Leslie's blog, if not there is a complete blog hop at the end of the post.
Master Forger Tara is our host for the Counterfeit Kit Challenge month of May. We welcome our May Guest Designer, Becca

This month, Tara chose a kit by Clique Kits International called Wonderful World! She says: I really fell in love with the dreamy, watercolor papers and bright colors in this kit.  It has some great stuff for us to dig into and do some forgeries for as well!  Here's the Base Kit:

Here are the Embellishments:
Awesome kit for June to really inspire us! I loved the watercolors in the kit too and here is my version of this kit. I call it Rain or Shine
I had a few of the papers by the company that was featured in the original kit so I added 2 of those papers. Lots of butterflies and the vacation ephemera too. Here are my papers:
Butterflies, papers that resembled the watercolor papers in the kit and included the fun bold color papers from SU too. Total of 37 papers, easy enough to use up throughout the month
The labels, small letter set and some washi tape. Next to the bag is butterfly sequins this looks like a good time to use those.
3 more choices of Alphas to use throughout the month.
Last but not least the extras: There is more butterflies, my last 3 rainbows in my stash (I think!) puffy stickers that were brought over from last month as it is about vacation and it has a paper airplane on it! 2 more vacation ephemera that hasn't been open yet but has been in my stash since last year. The watercolor pieces of ephemera too. Add the Tim Holtz small talk for the word phrases. I've got some ideas for forgeries too, so those will be sen on the 4th
I think it's gonna be a fun kit to play with this month, not sure what photos yet, but thinking the museum that we went to while we was in Stoystown, PA for that roadtrip in 2017 will work out fine with the papers and the vacation ephemera. Thanks for stopping by today and I hope you join us this month over at Counterfeit Kit Challenge - http://counterfeitkitchallenge.blogspot.com/
Now off you go to see what the fabulous Tracey has been inspired by this kit.
