Choo Choo layout for Stick It Down challenge

Good Morning and welcome to the Stick It Down double page challenge for September. We had this wonderful sketch from Lauren to use for our inspiration:
https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjSLA79G3GFx6ZazJV-WS-k-xW9y_yHQl-HMOmJi0Xupjac6-HEZJ39c_JGXgOw4YpXstIduUGBVncl00FQl2NR1TNN1mSo1mmYNkqhyphenhyphenOYZgOdeQvOT4jDipnKX644cMEhRZYO3f641R0Gs/w500-h250/Sketch-double24.jpg
This is the layout I created :)
I had come across this envelope of the Great Granddaughters enjoying a day a Chuck e Cheese and little Ava (atleast she was little then she started Kindergarten this year!) was enjoying the train. I used last month's counterfeit kit: Sparkle in Purple, the color combo of that kit was great for the tracks of pattern paper for the layout. I included some train stickers to make that border edge under the pictures :) Some close up of the layout:
Added glitter dots and glitter stars too.
A couple of cameras and those wood veneer arrows to finish off the layout. Thanks for stopping by today to see what I'm up to in my little corner of the world and I look forward to seeing your creation with this sketch.

CKC - September Kit Reveal - Summer's End

Good Morning and welcome to my little corner of the world :) Hey it's the 1st day of September and that means it's time for a new inspirational kit over at Counterfeit Kit Challenge Blog and this month our host is Master Forger Cindy. But 1st you should have arrived her from Tara's blog. Welcome to our Guest Designer this month:  Misty Murphy, she can be found on her You Tube channel Crafty Soup Video (https://www.youtube.com/user/CraftySoupVideo) here.
From Cindy:
Summer is almost over, schools are starting, leaves are changing here in Minnesota, the weather is great, the garden is producing, we are still grilling and enjoying the patio and deck, I am not ready for the white stuff to come.
With that said, I picked a kit that that has a little bit of all of this going on. It is the August 2020 Flavors of the Month Kit from The Scraproom.  I love how I will be able to scrap all of this with just one kit and how I can combine the kits and make a layout using a little bit of all of them. It is like one giant kit or four small ones.

You can find the kit here and an unboxing video here,

Cindy's right we are seeing here in PA the end of the garden harvesting, finally some cooler weather and Schools is starting. We're still grilling here and enjoying our back porch/patio while we can before the temps change so with that said I stayed in the 4 sections to create my kit:
Summer's End

My 1st section is cooking related too using the last of my Echo Park Homegrown Collection and some scraps that I found along the way with some cute die cuts from my old swapping days. This includes 2 sticker sheets too and die cuts pack (I was surprised how many were left in the pack):

The next selection was the school block so I grabbed the one school collection I had bits and pieces of from CTMH Chalk It Up with that I added 2 papers from last month's kit the blue stars and swirls and the red. The CTMH collections has plenty of cardstock with it that I can use that across the other collections. The chipboard, the stamp set and some bits I added (owls) to finish up this selection:

For the bottom left section I went with a younger boy's collection thinking of some older grandboy pictures and a trip to the Museum of Earth in Ithaca NY pictures that will work with this collection from PhotoPlay: Jurassic that includes stripe paper, dotted paper, Dinosaurs, footprints, cutaparts, a fun sticker sheet and some die cuts. I added a stripe paper from Three Bugs in a Rug (old paper!) and an unknown dotty paper that probably came out of a paper pad, the only thing I might have to add is some alphas.

The last one is a nature based section which I included the mushroom paper from last month's kit, 4 sheets from the Pink Paislee Again & Again collection, stickers and die cuts from Heidi Swapp's Honey & Spice collection, enamel dots, a couple of odd ball cutaparts and some mushrooms in wood veneer and die cut

A smaller kit than my usual kit, but I still got lots left over from last month to play with yet :) Thanks for stopping by today and I hope you'll join us and create your own version of this inspiration. Now off you go and see what Tracey has curated on her blog

Now for the monthly blog list and reveal, enjoy hopping around and seeing what everyone has been inspired by from the kit.

Fun Times LO for a Sketch N Scrap challenge

Good Morning and welcome to the 2nd layout sketch challenge of the month over at Sketch N Scrap blog. Stacy has has done a fantastic sketch for us to play with this month:
Image may contain: text that says 'Photo Photo TITLE Layout Sketch #207by Stacy Daubenberger www www.sketchnscrap.blogspot.com'
Here is what I created with the sketch
I came across these fun pictures from 2016 of 2 of my Great-Grandaughters (Ava was so little back then!) when I went searching through my printed pictures the other week and have been loving scrapping the photos. My current counterfeit kit: Sparkle in Purple is perfect for this with all its bright colors. I added some October Afternoon Midway collection to the layout to give off that carnival vibe from the place itself. This is the 3rd layout I've done from the photos with a couple more of Ava on the train ride :) Thanks for stopping by today and seeing what I'm up to in my little corner of the world.
I look forward to seeing what you create from this fun sketch over at Sketch N Scrap.

CKC - August Kit Reveal - Sparkle In Purple

Good Morning and welcome to my little corner of the world :) Hey it's the 1st day of August and that means it's time for a new inspirational kit over at Counterfeit Kit Challenge Blog and this month I'm your host. But 1st you should have arrived her from Tara's blog. We like to welcome our guest Forger this month: the creative crafty Gina McLeod, she's quite creative with the things she does and she's one of the administrators of a fantastic facebook group Bash Your Scrapbook Stash and you can find Gina at her Instagram and she shows off most of her creations in the BYSS FB group. Now that the particulars are done on to the good stuff!
The August Inspirational kit is the Hip Kit Aug 2019 Main Kit

A pretty purple, blue, pink and yellow kit, which seems like the colors are still a hit with the current kits too other than the added purple. Myself the 1st thing that comes to mind is Sparkle City from Shimelle :)

But that is me :) I look forward to seeing how you all are inspired by this kit

So many fun choices going on in this kit and they said in the details that this was a fall kit, myself I can see this in the spring too with those pretty colors.

If you need some add on kits this may help:

The Embellishment kit is here

This is the Pocket Page Kit how fun is that you can find that here Unboxing video here if you want a closer look.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0TxVAOnIFMI

My kit was inspired by a little bit of each and it's a huge kit this month, with the covid going on I have more time to scrap than I would other summers, harvesting is a hit and miss thing this year too.

  Sparkle in Purple!

Purple just brings me joy :) I probably don't use it as much as I should in scrapping but when the inspiration hits I go big! and so do my kits!
The papers I was inspired by the colors and the patterns in the original kit. I hit the purple hard, found some older paper and some newer paper too for my kit for a nice mix. This is a nod to Shimelle and Pink Fresh in my kit my favorites lately and a nod to the card icons and the mushrooms in the kit too adding those specialty papers. 1 cut apart, a few scraps and the rest is full size papers (45)
My alphas I brought in all used alphas in a variety of colors that is in the kit and a variety of sizes
Lots of butterflies I found in the sticker books so tore a few of those pages out, a good bag of stuff I found too so that will be fun to sort out to see what is in there
Lots of textures wiht wood veneer, enamels, washi tape, frames, paper clips and ephemera to layer with
More textures with ribbons, chipboard, puffy stickers (both the chipboard and the puffy stickers were the same that was in the embellishment add on kit of the original inspiration) buttons, those 3 flairs I want to use up and the 3d butterflies
Last of the texture with cork, wood veneer bows and the hummingbirds enamels (got hummingbird photos to scrap)
The also had a mix media add on kit and I added my own mix media to my kit plus some frame stamps to round it out
That's it! That's my scrappy kit for August and I recently got 80 pictures developed so there is plenty to scrap with this kit :) For me this is the fastest way to scrap cause I have all the supplies I need.

Thanks for stopping by today and I hope you'll join us and create your own version of this inspiration. Now off you go and see what Tracey has curated on her blog

Now, let's see everyone's take on the kit! I'm so excited!

Now for the monthly blog list and the reveal enjoy hopping around and seeing what everyone has been inspired by the kit :)
