October Counterfeit Kit

Hello and good day to you :) Yesterday was the reveal of October's Kit for us to Counterfeit and Counterfeit Kit Challenge Blog. The chosen kit comes from Master Forger Susan and she chose Pinkfresh Studio, "Indigo Hills":

I instantly fell in love with the blue/yellow combination and the dash of pink and gray was a nice addition. I also loved the mood board for the blog post's starting picture:
and I used that too for inspiration for my kit for the month. This month is a LOAD month so the kit is a bit bigger than my normal big :) I also have joined in on a 100 pattern paper challenge from something I saw on my DT sister Lori's blog awhile back and thought it was a great idea. It really didn't make that much of a dent in my stash, but I'm good to go till the holidays.
The inspiration kit had so many florals and water color elements to it that I really focused in on that. Lots and lots of florals, I went to a bag of paper I got maybe 4 or 5 years ago for Christmas for my kit this month and pulled out almost all the floral papers in it. I see lots of girly layouts this month, but the one nice thing about these papers are they are double sided so if I don't like one side then the other is very neutral base and a perfect background for a layout. I also noticed lots of spots, splashes, lines and doodling on the papers. So with the picture of the kit handy on my computer screen I went looking for my kit. My October kit:

Flower Power:

I got papers, stickers, stamps, doilies, border strips, rubons, alphas, cutaparts, chipboard, washi tape, enamil dots, stars, hearts, tags and much more in this kit.
The papers:
I pulled lots of blues, some yellows from my yellow drawer of paper, golds, oranges, pinks, black & white, and some browns. I added a dazzles kit and the last of a Fall kit I had last year that had 2 papers left in it and the alpha stickers sheet and a fall sticker sheet. The alphas are a variety of colors too
The embellishments: variety of stickers, puffy hearts (X&O too), rubons in blue, frame punchouts that I already used on a layout last night for LOAD, enamil dots, border strips and sticker sheets, hearts and stars paper clips, sticky notes, chipboard pieces and some odds and ends. I also have a few things that were on my desk that didn't make the picture caused I used them last night for the layout.
ribbon, washi tapes and gold foil tape
a few stamp sets, some PL cards and a generic dymo with tape I got at the flea market.
I came across these 5X7 papers so added that to the mix to get used up some odds and ends, the doilies I got in the mail from a friend and some stickers. Well that is it for this robust kit :) Florals everywhere :) Now to go and do today's LOAD, have a great rest of your weekend.

  6. A LOAD month really does call for a large kit doesn't it? how much of it did you get used up and how many layouts did you manage in the month? I love that you mixed the Indigo Hills and the mood board for your own inspiration. Late to commenting but glad I caught it!
