The Gift

Good Morning and happy Sunday to you :) Went to a great church service today and feel sunny inside even though it's rainy and gloomy outside, but we are in need of it so I have to endure it. I got through another new week of learning at work, it's been fun and interesting so far. I hope you had a fantastic week this week. So it's the first day of May, that means LOAD begins and I'm excited :) I think I got my new schedule down that I can pick a time of the day to get the layouts done :) yay for me, that took awhile to get into some kind of grove :)
On to the challenge, this Sunday is a new month of challenges for Lasting Memories and it's gonna be a great month to play along for you all :).
Our theme this month?? "All About the Photo's" and this weeks challenge is to use FOUR photo's on your layout.
No more and no less. Only four AND my DT sister Lori has provided an amazing prize for this month !! Play every challenge for more chances to win! Lets get this month started!!!

My layout came from a special day last year, our Great Grandson Waylon's 1st Birthday. Can't believe he's gonna be 2 in a couple of days, wow time is just flying by. Dave got him a special gift and the pictures are from when he was opening up his gifts. Fun to get a cool family photo as well as the gift photos too. But that special one is him looking at his gift, a coin my husband got him and to be saved for later down the road.
This layout came about from LOAD1015: Day 30: Image: A photo taken at floor level and the sketch that day: Bonus Friday Sketch inspiration from Scrapbook.com

So cool when they added sketches to the prompts too for more added scrappy fun :)

This picture is just priceless to me, Waylon looking and trying to figure out what it was. I used the counterfeit kit that month of October for this layout. That is one advantage to make LOAD work for me and get it done that day is with a counterfeit kit :) Did you see the one for this month to forge oh my it's a good one you can check it out here
A close up of the journaling. The silver coin in his hand is a new tradition from us for the Great Grandkids, they will be getting this for their 1st birthday. Something that should go up in value. This is also part of class I'm taking with May Flaum, Tried and True Scrapbook, Lesson #1.
Thank you for stopping by today to see what I'm up to in my little corner of the world :) I've got some laundry and some light cleaning to do you all have a great day today :)
