Mountain Happy Birthday Card for Sketch N Scrap challenge

Hello and welcome to the 2nd card sketch of September over at Sketch N Scrap challenge blog. A fantastic sketch from Heather

It made for the perfect birthday card for the son. I turned the sketch towards the right 1 turn for my card:

Using a stamp set from Close to My Heart for the mountains and the raccoon, included a stamp of Happy Birthday and some fun leaves from a dazzles sheet to complete the card.

Take Time to Smell the Flowers LO Sketch n Scrap challenge

Good Morning and welcome :) September came with lots of rain and cooler weather, I'm already missing the warmer sunny days!  We got a fun challenge over at Sketch N Scrap for the day. This sketch was created by Heather and it has a mixed media base to it:

Isn't this a fantastic sketch! I found a cut file in my stash of cut files that had the same thing happening as that circle did except mine had stars :)

I wanted to try my new Brutus Monroe Periwinkle glitter glaze so went with a blue/yellow combo for the layout :) It was a nice way to add glitter to the layout with out the mess, Use 3 Spring flower photos I had in my printed pictures. Used some stickers from CTMH for my title and some labels too. From my current counterfeit kit: Pleasant, I used the glittery butterflies and photo mats were from scraps in the the same kit. I like the way it all came together.

Thanks for stopping by today to see what I created and can't wait to see what you create from this cool sketch over at Sketch N Scrap blog.

School Days LO for the Counterfeit Kit Challenge #1

Good Morning and welcome :) Here's the 1st challenge of the month over at Counterfeit Kit Challenge blog. Juliet is the host this month and she has this to say for this 1st challenge:

Your first challenge this month I'm calling it ABC's and 123's.

It is “Back To School” time and that always makes me think of the ABC’s and 123’s so for this challenge I would like to see you use something that starts with an ‘A’ a ‘B’ and a ‘C’ on your layout (could be an ‘apple’, ‘brown twine’ and ‘cake’) OR 1 photo, 2 word title and 3 of the same embellishment – like 3 buttons, 3 hearts, 3 flowers…etc and if you are a rock star use both your ABC’s and 123’s!

This is the layout I created:

I come across some old school photos of the grandkids so thought this would be a good challenge to get these pictures scrapped :) So have you figured out the ABC's of this challenge? Within my current kit Pleasant I was able to find an Arrow for the A, Books puffy sticker for the B and I used Cardstock in a few places on the layout for the C. My 3 like embellishment is those large stars :) I used the 1st sketch challenge over at Sketch N Scrap for my layout design.

Thank you for stopping by today and seeing what I'm up to in my little corner of the world. I hope you join us over at Counterfeit Kit Challenge blog for this fun challenge.

CKC - September 2022 Kit Reveal - Pleasant

Good Morning and welcome to a new month and a new inspiration kit to counterfeit! The ber months begin! Not my favorite as the ber months bring the brrr cold and I rather stay with the warmer temps, the blue skies, green everywhere with lots of pops of color from the flowers, the fresh vegetables and the birds. Juliet has taken up the duties to host this month and she chose a wonderful kit for us to counterfeit :) but 1st you should have arrived here from Tara's blog. We are thrilled to have Christine Harden as this month's Guest Designer you can find her : My Instagram is @scrappingharden and My YouTube is Christine Harden

Now onto the kit: Juliet says: I don't digi scrap BUT if I did I would probably own all of this designer's kits that we are using as inspiration for everyone this month.

Traci Reed's digi kit Wildflower just hit all the buttons for me!  Love the blues and greens with a touch of orange!  Reminds me of early fall colors and also a little bit of the 'back to school' vibe. Love those high top tennies and oh those papers!

To see more of this kit you can check out the blog for the extra pictures.

 Here's my kit for September:

Pleasant

I really was drawn to the inspirational kit this month, just loving the combination of colors and the fun icons too. Why Pleasant for the name ? It means: giving a sense of happy satisfaction or enjoyment. This kit certainly gives me that kind of vibe :) so lets dig into the close ups to see what's all in this kit I pulled together:
The papers: When I first seen the kit I knew I'd be bringing in Gingham Foundry in for my base and adding SU Afternoon Picnic which has those beautiful colors and lots of the geometrics patterns too.
Chosen Alphas, Puffy words, Word stickers and a sticker book

I knew I had some converse in chipboard so pulled that in with the other chipboard left, lots of die cuts and punched stars added to the kit.
A tag, ric rac, hearts, butterfly flair, and sequins too

This close up shows more stickers, backers twine, wood veneer and more die cuts. I'm very happy with what I came up with for September for scrapping. Looks forward to seeing what you pull together too for a kit. That's it I'm finishing off this month's blog hop and if you started with me 1st then here's the hop list so you can go start at the beginning
