Family Memories Happy Easter LO for Counterfeit Kit Challenge

Good Morning, June has went by way to quickly this month! We had some great weather, this past week it's been a bit hot but I'll take it!  Welcome to the 2nd challenge over at Counterfeit Kit Challenge blog. Kate is the host this month and she has this to say: This time it's a photo challenge!  For Challenge #2, I want you to use black and white photos on your layout, I feel that they make such a HUGE visual impact.   And while some people may find it hard to scrap b/w photos, here are some tips she supplied about using black and white photos:

1.  Don't use too many embellishments otherwise you'll drown out the photos.  Keep it simple.

2.  Make your papers and embellishments accent the photo. Pretend you can see the colors in the pictures and then use those colors.

3.  Clusters are your friend!  Keep some white space!

4.  When I'm photographing events or things, I purposely change my camera settings and take a few b/w shots so I don't have to convert them.

I used a sketch to help me with my layout inspiration and my lovely Family Picnic kit too:

My siblings pictures, looks like it's my brother Steve's 1st Easter. Patty, Charlie and Steve is in the group picture. I've had these hanging around my scrap room for quite a while and I'm glad I had a challenge to help me use them. Grab some Easter embellishments for the layout but the rest came from my kit.
Thank you for stopping by today and seeing what I'm up to in my little corner of the world. I hope you join us over at Counterfeit Kit Challenge blog for this fun challenge.

Go Somewhere Lovely LO for Sketch N Scrap challenge

Good Morning and welcome :) Summer has arrived in PA the weather has been beautiful lately.

We got a fun challenge over at Sketch N Scrap for the day. A wonderful sketch from Lori this is her 1st sketch and man did she do great!
The background for the sketch got me, just so creatively different. This is the layout I created with it:
I used black cardstock for the base and added these fun patterns to the layout :) It was fun to be scrapping again, work has been interfering quite a bit with my scrappy time :) 29 years married you see there in that picture a day early and a path we both enjoy taking daily through the trail around our house.
I used my current counterfeit kit : Family Picnic for the layout and love how it all came together. Thanks for stopping by my little corner today and seeing what I'm creating.
So now it's your turn let's see what you can do with the sketch. Thanks for stopping by today to see what I created and can't wait to see what you create from this cool sketch over at Sketch N Scrap blog.

CKC - June 2022 Kit Reveal - Family Picnic

Hey Hey! A day late but I got it together :) Sometimes life just gives you a bunch of lemons and you have to make the lemonade sooner or later :) Well this is just a little later. Whew! We hit summer in my part of the world like over night during the holiday :) I'm not complaining I'll take this over that one stuff any day of the week. You should have arrived from Lisa's blog I bet she's got an amazing kit!

Kate has hostess duties this month and this is the kit she chose:

She says: Ahh, summer is here! Well, not "officially" according to the official date on the calendar but to me, it's here! This month, I wanted to pick a versatile kit to counterfeit that made me think of summer here in the US but also a kit that could still work in other places where it's not summer.

The kit I chose is called NOVEMBERKIT 2021 from DaniPeuss.de and I love that it is full of various shades of pink, blues and yellows all inspired by Paige Evans' Bungalow Lane collection:

Well I knew I had a couple pieces from the Bungalow Lane Collection and the die cuts so that is where I started my kit and then it took off on it's own:

 Family Picnic

With a graduation this month I knew I had some picnic photos to scrap so lots of embellishments pointed towards family. The papers:
The Alphas and Word Phrases:
The embellishments:
and I included this cut file kit it has that same quilt pattern and thought it would be a good time to use that and that cute picnic type tissue paper too :) should be a nice addition to the rest of the kit this month.
My mists, inks and any other mixed media supplies I'll pull in as needed.
Thanks for stopping by today. I need to see what the other girls have pulled together and a good place to start is over at Tara's blog  I'm excited to see how the inspiration moved her for her kit :) and if you get lost here is the full list
