Beautiful for the Lasting Memories Layout Challenge

Hello and welcome :) Today is the 1st Challenge for the December challenges over at Lasting Memories Challenge Blog. We are taking on a  "BEST OF 2016" theme to end our year with a bang.  We have picked the most popular challenges and we are duplicating them in hopes you will love to challenge yourself again with these great themes!!
LM 321 - GLITTER and GLAM
This was based off a challenge we did to honor THE OSCARS.  So show us your sparkling and glittering layouts!!
This was a fun theme when we did it the 1st time around and just as fun this time around. With knowing of this challenge prior to LOAD1016, was able to incorporate some of my layouts to also work with the LM challenges too. So this was one of my favorite layouts that I did during LOAD and was fitting for this challenge theme too:
This was done for LOAD1016 Day 13 And For Dessert prompt: We we’re joining in on a challenge from Alison’s blog, Alison Day Designs – sharing her passion for papercrafting & showing you how easy it can be! The layout above was one of many in this post: A Sewing & Fabric Challenge. Visit the link, enjoy her tips, and take the challenge to use fabric on a layout. Alison's has a fun blog and well worth checking out. This day she was doing her version of the 20 project (Shimelle's concept and was a fun class)
I Loved this challenge :) Made me remember some really old fabric paper in my stash and got that out, besides the ribbon and tulle. Wasn't sure what pictures I was using till I started to put that border together and then it dawned on me the pictures to use, but as I was going through the fair pictures I came across these 2 of the home and garden exhibit and knew they were the ones to use for this layout :) Just need to add the date and the layout is done :)
I used my counterfeit kit: Flower Power for this layout and used up that pink fabric paper along with some ribbons and tulle in my stash. Finished off the flowers that was in a cup on my desk :) always glad to get some stash out of my room and on to the page :)
My journaling and more flowers plus and added metal butterfly for more fun texture on the layout. This is not my normal scrapping but it is fun to GLITTER and GLAM it up a bit once in awhile :) Looking forward to seeing your layout linked up to the challenge over at Lasting Memories Scrapbook challenge blog.

Dig In! for the Counterfeit Kit Challenge November Blog Hop

Happy Thanksgiving!

Good morning and I wish you all a fantastic day today with family and friends.

I'm following the very inspiring Julene and if you are coming from her blog then your on the right track :) but if not you may want to start at The Counterfeit Kit Challenge Blog and get on board with the first stop on this month's blog hop. This is always a fun blog hop showing off the ladies creations from their current counterfeit kit. This month, you can choose to share any project you have made with your Counterfeit Kit Challenge kit which you have not shared on your blog yet. Your project could be related to any of the three challenges or maybe just something you made with your kit. As a reminder, here are the three challenges this month:

You might have been inspired by the challenges this month :

Challenge #1 - Yum!
Challenge #2 - A Walk In The Woods
Challenge #3 - Bundle Up!

I followed #3: In cooler weather, we start dressing in layers stay warm. For the third challenge of the month, dress your project for the crisp air by using lots of layers. I layered on the embellishments more than paper layers on this grid style layout:
I took lots of photos the day the kids were over picking pumpkins and with a bit of help for our decorating we got them all to pick another pumpkin out to carve for our yard so let the process begin :) Dig in ! was very appropriate title for this layout of just getting the pumpkins cleaned out first before the carving. Layers of embellishments on this layout from my Falltoberfest kit.
I used the sketch over at Creative Scrappers for the inspiration for this layout:
My husband took this picture so glad to see myself in one of the pictures when I went through them all to be printed
 The journaling
A fun middle block full of word stickers of the day.
Dave sure was keeping an eye on the kids while they were cutting along with Andrea too
Thanks a bunch for stopping by today and have fun hopping around the blog hop not off you go to see what Lisa has created she does so magnificent creations :) and you can see what she did create at her blog.

Campbell Pumpkin Patch

Good morning and welcome :) Today I have a layout that I created as DT over at Stick It Down. I'm on the double page team and we had quite the sketch to work with this month. So this is my take on the sketch:
and this is the sketch we got to use:
This was a cool sketch to try to adapt to my style of scrapping, I think I represented it well :) I figured it was up to the individual to decide on the amount of photos we wanted to add to the layout. So I used my current counterfeit kit: Falloberfest and got more of the pumpkin day with the Grandkids scrapped. This is the starting layout of the day where they went and chose their pumpkin. They put those in the car and you'll see in upcoming layouts the ones they chose for us and helped us decorate our yard.
The left hand side of the layout:
The right hand side of the layout:
I used washi tape and those pumpkin borders for the bottom strips in the sketch
I used some stickers, finished off those gold brads (finally!), and that fun journaling card for my journaling
More stickers from the fall sticker sheets to create that title with fun pennants and some gold Heidi Swapp mist.
I thought I would add some fun with the chevrons pointing to the word go! under the picture where we started moving towards the pumpkins. It was a fun day and I really like the way this layout turned out :) Thank your for stopping by and I hope to see your creation linked up on the Stick It Down blog.

Thank God for Small Favors

Good Morning to you :) Today I'm featuring a layout that I created the title card from the sketch over at Sketches in Thyme Project Life Style. Our sketch creator this week is Susanne Brauer
and this is the title card I created
and the sketch:

The card was in the 4X6paper pad I added to my current counterfeit kit: Falltoberfest along with the Date stickers, the scallop border, the fleur de lis wood pieces and the other stickers. This is the day that Albert's family came over to pick out there pumpkins and then picked out 5 more to carve to decorate our yard. the layout I created was pininspired:
I found this fun sketch on my board of sketches I wanted to try :) This is also a Grid layout and so for this week's Use Your Stuff challenge is also taken care of :)
Close up of the action taking place
 The journaling block
Fun picture of all the pumpkins lined up in a row.
and us adults enjoying the show :) The only one missing from this layout is Astacia, but you will see her in other layouts from the day over the next week. A very enjoyable layout to create ad love creating that fun title card too.
The prize over at Sketches in Thyme Project Life Style for November is the beautiful Thankful for You stamp set. You have until November 30, 2016 to add your blog or Instagram link up!
We can't wait to see what you create,
Happy Scrapping,

Reel Life Story

Good Morning and welcome to this week's Lasting Memories Scrapbook Challenge: Triangles. I have 4 of them on this layout:
I made this layout for LOAD 1016 Day 9: The prompt was to use something that made you excited to buy it, but never used it! Haven't we all fall into the scenario :) I've bought lots of stamp sets that have made me excited to get, lots of ideas and then nothing! put it away and never used it! This stamp set I had in many counterfeit kits and still didn't use it, well this day was the day to use it :) and this also is one of the challenges that were for The 20 Project class too (something I need to get back to and finish up :).
I missed out on getting this posted in time for the sketch I used over at GrandDiva's Creative Corner:
It was a really interesting layout to try.
The layout was a couple of pictures I took of the growth of the sweet corn in the garden. the 1st photo was from the back view of the garden and the 2nd photo was almost a month later at the front view, just a different way to look at the garden :) When your summers are of the same things sometimes you got to change it up a bit :) I love to take morning walks with Buddy in the summer after work so my focus is usualy the garden. Close ups:

Thank you for stopping buy today and I look forward to seeing what you create for this challenge :) over at Lasting Memories

Falltoberfest for the Counterfeit Kit Challenge

Hi you all and yes it is time for the November Counterfeit Kit Challenge, this year is just flying by!  The inspiration for this month is the October 2016 kit from Cocoa Daisy, City Park.
What a fantastic kit to counterfeit and yay! I have some of that kit in my own collection. Here is my kit for November:

Falltoberfest

This is what I gathered up today for this month's regular scrappin'
The papers:
I have some papers from Shimelle's collection Go Now Go and some I pulled from various paper pads in my collection. I had some cardstock left from a CTMH scrapbooking kit that I finished up and added it to this kit. Pulled a few 6X6 papers from the Shimelle collection too and some odd papers that I got in a swap that had some type of leaf on it.
The newest tray to my craft room :) love this to hold onto the small pieces of the kit and have it so handy, the enamel dots, metal dots and a couple of flairs. Some tags and cut-apart words, some wood pieces (now the mushroom pieces I'll need to figure out what I'm gonna use that for), gold sequin leaves, borders I found, washi tape and some ribbon
The other container held my alphas, Shimelle's sticker book, chipboard set and the cutaparts, some stickers, a couple of 6X6 paper pads, some embossed papers, die cuts for cards and some card fronts I got years ago. Also added a embossing folder that is more for November than most other months.
I still have lots of pumpkin patch photos to scrap and the yearly Halloween photos so pulled in the rest of the fall collection that wasn't used last month and my baggie of Halloween scrappy goodies, some fall sticker sheets and 3 different stamp sets.
That's the kit I plan to use this month for my regular scrappin :) I still have plenty left of the 100 patterned paper challenge (about 60 papers left to use) that I may mingle into this kit from time to time as it was part of last month's counterfeit kit.
Thank you for stopping by and seeing what I'm up too in my little corner of the world....

Wander Out & About - Use Your Stuff #240

Hello and Good Morning :) I have a layout for the challenge over at Use Your Stuff :) Challenge #240 - Fall Y'All and Renee is our Hostess this week. Fall to me is the changing of the colors in the leaves, the cooler temperatures, hoodies and seeing pumpkins everywhere.
This was created for LOAD1016 Day 23 Not Your Momma's Recipe: Today’s “recipe” is the October ScrapHappy sketch!
 23-sketch
A fun sketch to create with indeed, the main thing was to find the photos that would work with those small squares :)
I really love how this all came together. I used my counterfeit kit: Flower Power for this layout and the Go Now Go collection from Shimelle which is featured in this month's inspirational kit over at Counterfeit Kit Challenge blog. I also used a sheet of paper from my 100 pattern paper challenge.
the title came from cutting apart one of the 12 X 12 sheets

My journaling of the day
The hubby looking about :) This was the last place we visited at Ithaca, NY October 9, for my birthday. It certainly was a beautiful fall day and a beautiful spot to see the colors. Thank you for stopping by and I hope to see your creation linked up over at Use Your Stuff blog

For this weeks challenge, we are focusing on fall.  What's your favorite thing about fall.  Do a layout, card or spread showcasing all things fall.Link up over at Use Your Stuff

Turntable 2 pg LO

Good Morning and welcome :) Today is a new challenge over at Lasting Memories: theme: All About Shapes and the feature shape this week is CIRCLES:
The layout features circles in the stamped train image, the circle metal flair button, the paper has stamped postmark images and the title is within a half-circle and of course the subject matter is a circle. This is actualle a double page layout. But this side features the circles.
This layout came about from LOAD1015 Day28: Story: Tell of a memorable road trip. Product: Map! Image: A typical vacation photo. So I got 2 of the 3 parts of the prompt on my layout:
This is part of the Altoona, PA day trip. I was really cool to investigate this Museum because the way it was laid out we were unsure if we were allowed in buildings or not, but the door was open so we went in and found this on the other side of the storage building.
I had some fun creating that title on this layout. This side of the layout housed some of the photos of the turntable.
The right hand side of the double page layout has more photos of the round table and a few of the engines that sit outside of the round table. This one was not in action that day and not sure if it operation-able yet.
The title work I did one a piece of vellum that I had previously cut awhile back and used that to help me get the lettering right on the layout. My journaling too.
The arrows in each of these pictures point us out in the photos, I'm in the left hand photo and Dave is in the right hand photo. After the 1st of the year I need to get back to this album and get it finished up :)
Thanks for stopping by today to see what I'm up to in my little corner of the world and I look forward to seeing what you all create and get posted over at Lasting Memories Scrapbook Challenges blog.
