Harrison Falls LO for Counterfeit Kit challenge

Good morning and welcome :) Here's the 2nd challenge of the month over at Counterfeit Kit Challenge blog. I'm the host this month and my challenge is:

Challenge #2 - Just Having Fun!

There are some of my favorite items in this kit especially the cutfile and the mist! So I want you to have fun creating using those items: Cutfile and Mist on your layout, card or project

So I used 2 cutfiles from my kit and the spray from my kit I used to mist the paper and I also misted the one cut file too. Bringing in 2 more mists from my stash to mist the Hike cutfile too.

The background paper worked out well for the layout with the leaves and the pinecones made for a nice bottom border. The bright green paper and the brown polka dot paper worked out well with the colors from the photos. I'm at the halfway point of scrapping these waterfalls at Ricketts Glen and this kit is perfect for the beauty of this area in the Fall.

Thank you for stopping by today and seeing what I'm up to in my little corner of the world. I hope you join us over at Counterfeit Kit Challenge blog for this fun challenge.

Making it Up as I Go LO for Sketch N Scrap challenge

Good Morning and welcome. Here we are in the middle of September, the weather is changing getting a bit cooler as I see the signs of Fall coming.

We got a fun challenge over at Sketch N Scrap for the day. This sketch was created by Lori

This is the layout I created with it:
Having fun using the cutfile for the side border of star, I backed the file and colored it with markers too. Just my new normal now. Making lunches for work in one batch for the week usually on Mondays. I love how the back strips give good stability to the layout. Bringing in the red for some similarity for the lids color. I used my current counterfeit kit Purple Passion for my papers for the layout.

Thanks for stopping by today to see what I created and can't wait to see what you create from this cool sketch over at Sketch N Scrap blog.

CKC - September 2023 Kit Reveal - Purple Passion

September is here, Little League World Series had just ended over the weekend and around here that is the last hooray of Summer it seems, but is it. We've got some heat coming here early in the month so I guess Fall will be waiting a bit yet. While we're waiting on Fall to arrive lets enjoy the Greens, Blues and Purples of Summer yet with a fantastic kit from Not Just For Boys kit club.

We got a fun one this month for our Counterfeit Kit challenge. First you should have arrived here from Tara's blog  I'm excited to see what she has put together this month. Jennifer Croasdale is our guest designer this month , excited to see what she put together too. As I'm the host this month for Counterfeit Kit Challenge blog this is my choice of inspiration for kit making this month:

I've chosen a kit from the (Not) Just for Boys Scrapbooking Kit Club its a retired kit from this past year. It has a bit of a masculine feel with no pink involved :) It also has a few of my favorite colors in it and some neutrals too.
"This is what they say about the kit: Combines green, teal, and purple hues, just like the Aurora Borealis, with some darker navy shades, making it perfect to document springtime moments with a masculine feel. "
Main Kit:

Another look at the embellishments

I dug out a few of the embellishments from the ephemera pack and used that to help me to decide the colors I was bringing into my kit:

Purple Passion
The papers:
The cutfiles I included
Close up:
The Alphas:
I didn't have the Pinkfresh Studios green alpha they had in the kit, but I found another one in a darker color that should work out just fine

I'm excited to dig in and get playing with this kit, but first I need to see what the other girls have pulled together and a good place to start is over at Brandi's insta  I'm excited to see how the inspiration moved her for her kit :) and if you get lost here is the full list
