Holiday Magic layout for a Use Your Stuff challenge

Hello and welcome to today's challenge over at Use Your Stuff challenge blog. We are having a collaboration with a pair of women with a fun challenge and a newer blog on the block :)
We have something super special going on for the next two weeks!

We are pairing up with Double Trouble Paper Crafting for a 2 week challenge!  This challenge will go from November 19th until December 2nd.

Here's a bit about our friends Double Trouble!

Welcome to Double Trouble - We're two retired ladies bringing you a new challenge blog where we hope you find fun and inspiration! We're not affiliated with any companies and welcome all participants. Our challenge will include Thing 1-Trouble Maker the Basic Challenge, Thing 2-Double Dare being a surprise element in which you may or may not decide to participate and Thing 3-Twisted Sister, will appear with an optional twist to the Challenge.

When you enter our challenge this week, be sure to run over to the Double Trouble Challenge blog and see what their co-coordinating challenges are!  The more aspects of the challenge you do, the more entries you will receive to win their prize!

This is our part for the challenge, we have a fun mood board to draw your inspiration from! There are lots here, pine, snowflakes, cocoa, some lovely colors, candy canes, Christmas trees and so much more!

I love mood boards for inspiration for a layout. I used the colors, red, green and white with a hint of gold/yellow for my accents. December in our house when I got the time available is baking Christmas Cookies and in 2017 I baked on 3 different days, some sweets for my sweet (the hubby)
I chose to use all the challenges: Thing 1's challenge to make a sweet treat for the holidays, Thing 2's challenge to use our mood board and Thing 3's challenge of adding sprinkles too :)
Besides the color sheme I used some sparkly snowflakes that was also on the mood board. It was fun to use paper from my current counterfeit kit : Just Bloomin' Lovely: the red paper, the 6X6 papers that I layered with and the 4X6 paper that I made my strips with, also the tassle bows and the green buttons! a win-win for this layout. Brought in green doilies, the snowflakes, the ribbon and the stars from my Christmas stash for Dec. 2017.
Using a sketch from Sketch N Scrap from Sept. 1, 2013 for my layout inspiration:
Close up photos
December 24, 2017 baking our favorite Sandtart cookies
Dec 17, 2019 Baking some newer cookie recipes something I try to do each year atleast one new recipe.
and finished it off with the Cookies I made for a Christmas style cookie party at work for us on 3rd shift, December 8, 2017.
Thanks for stopping by today and seeing what I'm up too in my little corner of the world.

Remember to head on over to the Double Trouble Blog and use our image as well as their challenge ideas to create your projects!  Link up to both blogs!  This challenge is going to run for 2 weeks and you can enter as often as you like, as long as you are creating new entries each time.

Love This Ride layout- Counterfeit Kit Challenge #2

Hello and welcome to the 2nd challenge over at Counterfeit Kit Challenge Blog.
Challenge #2 - Getting Twisty and Sketchy

Continuing to use Citrus Twist Kits as our inspiration this time around, use this gorgeous Citrus Twist Sunday Sketch from 22nd April 2018 as inspiration for your project.

Place your own "twist" on it by rotating it, reversing, mirroring, turning it upside down, making it smaller or just doing your own "thing" to it - just don't use it as is!

Credit: Citrus Twist Kits Sunday Sketch with Kira #22

I turned the sketch once counterclockwise
This is just about always the last ride we do at Knoebels and it was nice to see the Frick Steam Engine as I don't think I ever seen that there before so it's nice the change up the scenery just a wee bit each year.

Using some of the softer nostalgia style paper that I had in my kit Just Bloomin' Lovely for the layout as the ride has been one we enjoy each time we go and a ride I remember riding as a kid too.
Plus the paper works well for the era of the steam tractor too. Next year well ned to investigate that steam tractor just a bit closer :) We hope you play along with us with this fun challenge this month :) Thank you for stopping by and seeing what I'm doing in my little corner of the world.

Lucky Dog layout - Sketch 114

Good Morning and welcome to the 2nd challenge sketch of the month over at Sketches in Thyme Project Life Style and this is the sketch That Emma created for this month:
and this is what I created for my layout:
Using some old 4X6 pocket style cards and cutting them down just a wee bit to work for what I wanted for this layout:
Going with a grid design for my layout thanks to RTS scarpbooking and Janet's new fun series about go to designs. I used that plaid pattern paper from my current counterfeit kit: Just Bloomin' Lovely  and the wood veneer arrows too that were in the kit. From just that one day shopping I thinks so far I got 4 layouts done and still got a few more to do from the pictures I took. Another grid layout will be coming from those pictures too but that is a story to tell another day.
The close ups of the layout
The card I created with additional wood veneer stars that I dressed up the layout with.
also added the enamel hearts that are in the kit too. Thanks for stopping by and I look forward to seeing your creation with this fun sketch over at Sketches in Thyme Project Life Style.

I Believe We Have Fall In the Air layout for a Sketch N Scrap challenge

Good morning and welcome to today's layout sketch challenge over at Sketch N Scrap. Heather Hall has provided this fun sketch for us to play with:
No automatic alt text available.
This is what I created with it:
Using a variety of Counterfeit kit elements on this layout and used those fun tassel bows that I made too :) Fun to add an handmade touch to the layout. Fun day for us as we headed out to do some really early Christmas shopping. Using 4 layers on the layout with both the vellum and the acrylic strip of hearts combine for one layer and used the sticker border to hide the tape showing through the vellum. The red and green in the photos of the changing of the season helped with the feel of the day and it was good to finally see some red from the changing leaves as we had not seen it in our area yet :) Thanks for stopping by and seeing what I'm creating and I look forward to seeing what you create with this fun layout sketch over at Sketch N Scrap.
If you want to see more sketches and more crafty fun head over to our Bountiful Blessing Crop!! Hope to see you there!

Legacy Bricks featuring Stars layout a Use Your Stuff challenge

Good Morning :) and welcome to this week's challenge over at Use Your Stuff Blog. The challenge this week is to use stars on our layout:

I used stars on this layout as my embellishment. The photos were taken by the hubby at the Rock N Roll Hal of Fame while we were there, some interesting reading on the blocks and that is what I thinks spark his interest in taking the photos and since this trip included both of us it's nice to have pictures from his point of view.
This came about from LOAD1018 Day 21: The Phantom of the Opera. The prompt was The Phantom's life is ruled by music. Music can make us recall things, is used as a therapy technique and to help dementia patients. What song has impact on your life or brought out an emotion in you? OR Black & White are the colors on the show's Playbill. Use them both in your layout today. As I have done the 1st part of the prompt many times already so I decided to do the 2nd prompt of the Black & White color scheme as it's a music venue I guess I got the 1st prompt too with just a slight turn.I was also able to use this for the Whimsical Musings challenge #308 be inspired by lines. Lines all over the place on this layout.
Close ups on the layout:
Using stars in the title area
Another one here with the journaling.
and more here with the camera. Thinking Stars and Cameras will both be good to use throughout the Cleveland Vacation Album to keep consistency throughout it :)
Thank you for stopping by today and seeing what I'm doing in my little corner of the world and I look forward to seeing your creation for this fun challenge prompt over at Use Your Stuff blog challenge

Into The Spin layout for Lasting Memories challenge

Good Morning and welcome to this week's challenge over at Lasting Memories. Deanna is our hostess this month for challenges over at Lasting Memories and our theme for November is - Techniques - and today she has challenged us to:

Now, we're gonna start getting a little messy with this week's challenge. I want to see 'Watercolors, Paint, and/or Misting'. Use as much or as little as you want, but hope you'll get a bit messy and have FUN! Since my birthday is this week, I would love to see Birthday themed layouts.

I got the 1st part but not the birthday part of the challenge:
A double page for me today :) I have included the misting on the layout of photos that I took while we were watching a show at Knoebels, taking a slight break from all the fun we were having.
This was created during LOAD1018 Day4: South Pacific was the featured Broadway play and the prompt was either: Pull out a vacation story you've been meaning to tell OR Use misting or a bold splatter technique to set off those vacay photos, or any photos you choose. I chose the latter prompt :) for my layout. I had used a sketch for the layout but did not note the sketch to refer to it. I also used my counterfeit kits:) August Kit: Summer Life, September kit: Falling For You and October Kit: Tainted Love, using the flower background paper from the Summer Life kit the navy paper from my September kit: Falling For You and that fun bicycle paper from my October kit. Cool that I get 3 papers to work together like that from 3 different kits :) all the embellishments from my October kit :)
Close up of the layout:

and the Right Side:
It was a fun show and gave a nice break from walking around the park.
Thanks for stopping by and I look forward to seeing your creation over at Lasting Memories

Happy Anniversary Cards for Funday Friday Challenge

Good Morning and welcome :) Today is Funday Friday over at Jo's Scrap Shack and with the theme of Anything Goes. Our sponsor for this week's challenge is Little Blue Button Stamps. I created 2 cards with the left over Love Birds – printable art tiles bottle caps designs:

Love when I can get rid of my stash and also when I can eliminate a few extra stamps and get cards made from them. I was challenged to use circles in various ways on another site so the 1st card is the 3 circles in 3 different sizes for the background. The 2nd card was the circles to be used in a wreath and I added the art prints to both cards in the center of the circles in play.
Using some 6X6 paper from my current counterfeit kit: Just Bloomin' Lovely it was easy to get this put together and came together fairly quickly too. Thanks for stopping by today and I look forward to seeing your creation for this fun challenge.

CKC-November Forgery

Good morning and welcome :) Today is the 4th and that is Forgery day over at Counterfeit Kit Challenge Blog. For my counterfeit kit Just Bloomin' Lovely:
I wanted to do those fun tassel bows that were in the inspiration kit. With plans to do the forgery I made sure to include thread in my kit to make the tassel bows out of:
I used my hand to wrap the thread around my fingers till I had what I wanted
wrapped up the ends in the middle of the bow to create the center of the bow and knotted off
Then clipped it and cleaned it up a bit
to create these fun bows, so easy to make and didn't take long at all.
The other thing I forged in the inspiration kit was the Vicki Boutin's Field Notes collection called Daydreamer as soon as I seen that in the kit I knew that one would be so easy to forge and I had fun forging it too :)
The inks I used to create the paper, I also used a regular coffee cup and also some Heidi Swapp Gold color shine:
A smaller cup bottom would have worked better but I love how this turned out and look forward to using in on a layout.
 Closeups
I hope that you are inspired to try your hand at counterfeiting! Thanks for stopping by and seeing what I'm up to in my little corner of the world.

Be sure that you check out the handiwork of the rest of the team on the Forgery on the Fourth post at Counterfeit Kit Challenge blog. We'd love to see what you create, so be sure to post by using the Link Up page here on the blog, posting in the Counterfeit Kit Challenge Facebook Community Group, or on Instagram (find us @counterfeitkitchallenge and share with #counterfeitkitchallenge).

CKC - November Kit Reveal - Just Bloomin' Lovely

Good Morning and welcome to a new month of Counterfeit Kit Challenge :) You should have reached me from the creative Lori's blog so excited to see what she pulled together for this inspiration. This month Lisa has challenged us with the October 2018 Citrus Twist Kit, Little Things, that is full of gorgeous items and just beautiful colors. Our Guest Master Forger this month is Alex Trofimov of Pink Crafty Mama, were so glad to have her playing along
The kit we are forgering this month:
The kit has 8 pattern papers, filled with florals, circles, geometric, stars, bows, veneer words, hearts, buttons, some funny looking bows (will be forging these) labels, stamps, word die cuts and look a rainbow too. The colors are a rich Indigo Blue, Yellow, Red, Pink and a Lighter Blue. Here is this image it's only showing the A sides of the paper but the B sides also feature more florals and a Mint Green too.

Just Bloomin' Lovely:

I went very large with the floral theme of the kit, nature and some travel stuff too. I liked the thought of scrapping some summer pictures this month with a class I'm taking from Shimelle that this kit is gonna work perfect for besides the Summer kit I pulled at the beginning of the Summer. Bit different for the month of November but I like it :)
Close ups: My papers:
 Some stickers and brads
The means to forge those bows that were in the inspirational kit
Variety of little things to add to my layouts, will be also using my enamel dots in my stash this month too
Die cuts, enamel hearts a fun stamp set too
 More stickers
 and the Alphas
Ended being a larger kit than what I first anticipated :) Not surprised though :) When I started going through my florals drawer of pattern paper I found some fun ones to play with that went well with the others that I pulled so added those to it :) with a total of 25 pattern papers to play with this month :) Thanks for stopping by and off you go to see what Cindy has crafted up for her kit this month and if you get lost here is the blog list. We would love to see you all play along this month!
