Ohio Lakes & Rivers LO for Use Your Stuff challenge

Good Morning and Happy Memorial Day and welcome to today's Use Your Stuff challenge:

This beautiful Mood board is our challenge this week, take it in any direction that speaks to you. To me it's got such a summer vibe to it :)
The top left corner water color spoke to me, reminded me of the trip we took to the Greater Cleveland Aquarium last year:
also I included a border arrows and most of the colors in the mood board less the pink.
My journaling for the layout :) Thank you for stopping by today and I look forward to seeing your creation for this fun challenge over at Use Your Stuff

Let's Celebrate You card for Sketch N Scrap card challenge

Good morning and welcome to the last challenge of the month over at Sketch N Scrap blog, but the party isn't over yet we're still having Bingo Birthday Fun over on the facebook group and this fantastic card sketch is on one of the bingo spots! Lisa created this fun sketch I just love it and think I'll be using it again and again.
No photo description available.
and this is the card I created for the Grandaughter's birthday in June:
I used that scrap of flower paper from my current counterfeit kit: Enjoy the Ride for my card base, pulling out my Birthday theme drawer I came across the rest of the papers, the stickers and the sentiment card (which is yellow) finished off that package of yellow enamel dots and the card is done :)
The inside of the card I brought in the rest of the 6X6 paper I used on the front and added this sentiment. Thank you for stopping by and I look forward to seeing your creation with this fun sketch  over at Sketch N Scrap.
There is still time to play along with our Bingo Birthday Bash:

Everyday Dream LO for CKC-Challenge #2

Good Morning and welcome to today's challenge over at Counterfeit Kit Challenge blog. Master Forger Leslie has challenged us with this lovely image and quote:

Ahhh... blue sky daydreams...

Challenge # 2:
Dreams are the seeds of change.
Nothing ever grows without a seed,
and nothing ever changes without a dream. - Debby Boone
I hope you can find inspiration from this quote or the image provided.

Isn't that image just draws you into summer and such a cool quote. For my layout I used them both as an image to go with my other pictures on my double page layout:
I added the quote right onto the image. This layout is about the beginning days of getting my truck prepared for it's 1st show, decided to take my business on the road. My target market was people that attend Antique Tractor Shows, something that I wasn't going to find at home other than my hubby :) So on the road I went. This was the a trial run of setting up my truck so I knew a bit of what I was doing before getting to the show grounds.
 Sketch designed by Noreen Smith
Used this sketch from Creative Scrapbooker Magazine for my layout inspiration.
The left side of the layout. I used that navy floral I added to my Enjoy the Ride kit, pulled out another from the paper pad for the double page layout. Used the scrap of green paper I had left from the layout I posted yesterday and also that darker green paper. The title came from the glittery word thickers and so did some of the embellishing. I also used some diecuts from the pack of diecuts in the kit. The birds, butterfly and flowers.
The right side of the layout
My journaling :) after taking the photos of the layout and looking over the journaling I found I put 2 strips in the wrong position but have fixed it after taking the photo.
That special image and quote that prompt this story to be told :) I knew I was doing it about my old business as that was my dream and the hardest thing was finding the photos as I knew the ones I wanted to scrap but wasn't sure where they were! Yep need to work on some photo organization.
and the title work. Love how this came out and all because of one image with one special quote. Thank you for stopping by today and seeing what I'm creating with my fun kit this month! What have you been creating?

Cook with Fire LO for Funday Friday challenge

Good Morning and welcome to today's Funday Friday post :) It's Funday Friday around here and over at Jo's Scrap Shack. Our sponsor for this week's challenge is Little Blue Button Stamps. I used one of their Vintage recipe printable cards for my layout:
Loved using the printable card for my journaling and since it's about food and I was cooking the girl chef was the coolest one to use for my layout. I got my inspiration for the layout from Sketch N Scrap #104 for the layout and I used an old Heart song for my title. I used my current counterfeit kit:  Enjoy the Ride. I was glad to be able to use that llama paper :)

Mini Kit for (I)National Scrapbooking Day

Hi you all the Counterfeit Kit Challenge Blog add an extra small kit this month for extra inspiration!
We are thrilled today to be in collaboration with the
who can be found on the link below the photo here. It's also a private Facebook Community and its focus is most definitely using up your beloved scrapbook stash and being part of a warm, welcoming, happy, sharing community.

That sounds familiar! Don't we always say that about The Counterfeit Kit Challenge community?!?

We thought it was a perfect complement to CKC and are excited to be joining them today to share the scrapbook stash love.

The Bash Your Scrapbook Stash group presents monthly and weekly challenges of a different nature to encourage their members to use their stash with specific items, techniques or tools to create scrapbook layouts, projects, cards, tags or even embellishments.

We picked out the June 2018 Studio Calico kit, "Expedition" and hope that you love it as much as we do!
My translation from my stash to create my Expedition.

But that's not all! We also have an EXCLUSIVE {inter}National Scrapbook Day sketch for you today, created by our wonderful  MF Susan. It's got so much to love with the full page design, the space for lots of journalling, the showcase photo and the oodles of room for interpretation.

This is the layout I created from the sketch:
I also used today's challenge for LOAD519 for my color inspiration which was Green and Gold, I found a green paper to use the B side of one of the papers for my photo matting and I used golden yellow for my paper. Used the silver paper in the kit for the circles and anything green I could find in the kit for embellishing. Worked out well :) These are pictures from the Cleveland Trip we took last year, this was when were going into the City and I was surprised to see not 1 but 2 sport Stadiums within the City.
 Close ups
Thanks for stopping by and seeing what I'm up to today for (I)National Scrapbooking Day. Check out what the other girls did over at Counterfeit Kit Challenge Blog and also Check out Bash Your Scrapbook Stash group

CKC - May 2019 Kit Reveal - Enjoy the Ride

If you are looking for the Sketch N Scrap post you can find it here
Good Morning and welcome to May's Counterfeit Kit Challenge. Wow May already! Busy month ahead when it comes to scrapping. First though would like to welcome May's Guest Designer, Leanne Wagner! Leslie is our Master Forger hostess this month and found a kit that I couldn't wait to put together. First you should have reached me from the creative Lori's blog so excited to see what she pulled together for this inspiration.
Here is our inspiration this month:

My Creative Scrapbooks March Main Kit
Based on the Pebbles/Jen Hadfield "Chasing Adventures" collection that colorfully celebrates being active & exploring & adventurous! Here is the LINK to the unboxing if you want to see the it up close. The kit club also offers three other kits that you may choose from at the main kit link that are quite varied in style.
I went with this main kit for my inspiration grabbing A and B sides of the papers, lots of road trip and exploring papers and embellishments as well as the florals that are in the kit. Plans to work on a particular trip this month so this will fall right into the idea of what I want to do with these pictures. let me introduce you to my May kit:

Enjoy the Ride:

My kit name came from one of the papers of cutaparts. Like I said it's very heavily Road Trip/Vacation themed kit this month with some Family/house/everyday papers that I can use for other things this month if I find I want to change up my scrapping a bit!
My papers variety of Greens, Blues and Reds for the color hues. So many different icons :) that deal with roadtrips and vacations. But there is also those llamas (come from a Christmas paper pack) and cactus too (not sure how I'm using those yet!) oh yes the florals too! I have the paper in the order that was shown in the unkitting video. I'm excited to dive into this kit and have fun.
Couple of packages of die cuts and there is that one travel scrapbook kit that I got for Christmas that thought it worked ideal with the colors of this kit so that went in.
Wood veneer, chipboard and dimensional stickers too

Lots of Word stickers that I can use for titles and I will be adding the little letter stickers from last month's kit into this one to continue using them, you may even see some of those papers that are left pop up this month with layouts from this kit :)
Thank you for stopping by and I look forward to seeing what your inspiration is from this kit :) Stop back on Saturday for a fun side kit we are creating with a collaboration with Bash Your Scrapbook Stash Facebook group. Not up to trying a full kit then this fun kit for Saturday will be the perfect kit to get your toes wet and test out the water of kit making.
Now off you go and see what fun kit Laura came up with over on her Instagram page.

Male Purple Finch LO for Sketch N Scrap challenge

Good Morning and welcome to the 1st sketch challenge of the month over at  Sketch N Scrap.. Here is the sketch:
No photo description available.
Love the layers and the multi-picture placement of this sketch so it was easy to create with this sketch with some newer pictures I took in April.
I love when new birds show up in our yard and with the new sunflower seed feeder added to the bird feeding area in the yard is was cool to see these Male Purple Finches. Just a wee bigger than House Finch so when I first saw them I had to do some investigating to find out what they were.
 My journaling
A close up of one of the photos of the birds. Not a purple bird but a very cranberry color to them. I added some purple flowers to the layout to justify the name of the bird in the layout. I used paper from my April counterfeit kit: Spring Break. Thank you for stopping by today and seeing what I'm creating in my little corner of the world. I look forward to seeing your creations over at Sketch N Scrap.
