Powder Puff layout for Stick It Down challenge

Good Morning and welcome :) Today I'm featuring a 2nd layout for Stick It Down blog using their fun single sketch and also some fun sequins from SpiegelMom Scraps our sponsor this month. I received the SMS sequin mix called One in a Melon and wow what a punch of pink and green with some black too :) yep looks like a watermelon mix :)
One of the layouts that I created from the Demolition Derby at the local fair we attend was the Powder Puff competition and we have a variety of cars in this layout but there was that bright green one and a variety pink featured too one being that black with pink car so these photos were perfect to feature those fun sequins from SpiegelMom Scraps
Here is the single sketch this month from Stick It Down that I used for inspiration for the layout:

Very busy sketch which the Derby can be very busy too :)
My journaling and to keep the pink going I used a pink pen too

Close up of the pictures. For the layout I used old school technique torn pattern paper in strips to mimic the strips in the sketch. There were stars all over the place in the sketch so used the sequins in places where the stars were.
I used a variety of counterfeit kits for this layout: The torn pattern papers came from this month's kit Falling For You. The pink matting I used for the photos was from my August kit Summer Life. The Alpha's came from June's kit Adventure Awaits and the background paper came from May's kit Geometric Beauty. I will usually have a few current counterfeit kits floating around my craftroom like this to grab from when I'm looking for certain things to combine to make a fantastic layout.

Thank you for stopping by today, still have a few days in this month to play along with this challenge. Check out Stick It Down blog for other creations my DT sisters are making this week with SpiegelMom Scraps sequin mixes.

I Love Knoebels layout for a SITPLS challenge

Good Morning and welcome to the 2nd challenge sketch of the month over at Sketches in Thyme Project Life Style and this is the sketch That Emma created for this month:

Here is the Title card I created from this sketch for my layout:
I have these fun glittery project life cards in my stash and loved this one with the heart so adding the black alphas and the teal puffy hearts to finish off this title card for my layout.
This layout will be the starting layout from a fun filled day at Knoebels this year that will include probably 5 or 6 more layouts :) a nice addition to this year's scrapbook as there weren't to many fun days this summer with all the rain we had.
I used my current counterfeit kit for the rest of the layout that wasn't silver, it was fun to find papers that worked for a summery layout being a more fall kit. My journaling
One of the clusters and I was glad to use that button that has been hanging around for the longest time.
 The title block
Close up of some of the grid photos on this layout. This is also Day 3 prompt for Nicole Jones 911 Scrap-A-Thon 2 class. Way behind this month on that class so maybe a heavy scrappy weekend ahead to get caught up :)
Thanks for stopping by and I look forward to seeing your creation with this fun sketch over at Sketches in Thyme Project Life Style.

Friends layout for Use Your Stuff challenge

Good Morning and welcome to this week's challenge over at Use Your Stuff blog. The challenge this week is create a project about "Friendship".
This is a layout I created about  Our friendship with members of an organization we belong, we have met so many through the club and grown to be close friends that we atleast plan a vacation/holiday a year with them. A fun quick layout with pictures from one of the days together:
Some fun pictures from that day. We do enjoy seeing things like this together.
The inspiration for this layout came from LOAD218 Day 17 and this quote:
https://www.scraphappy.org/wp-content/uploads/2018/02/LOAD218-Day-17-quote.png
inspired the layout as our friendship we travel to see and be with them. Also this prompt: How have your friends helped you become the person you are now? My journaling explains the answer to this question. I used my February counterfeit kit: Pretty Little Pastimes.
close up pictures of the layout and
 the journaling I did.
This shows that Family is more than just blood relatives, it's also the friends that we have in our lives that matter.
Thanks for stopping by today and I look forward to seeing what you create for this fun challenge over at Use Your Stuff blog.

Whipper LO for CKC challenge #1

Hi you all and welcome to the 1st challenge of this month over at Counterfeit Kit Challenge blog. This challenge is a color challenge use Purple, Gold and Red on your project
There are flowers enough in the summertime,
More flowers than I can remember—
But none with the purple, gold, and red
That dyes the flowers of September!
 —Mary Howitt (1799-1888)
Here is the layout I created for this fun challenge:
We had a fantastic day that day and had fun being young and carefree :) I used the plaid pattern paper for my base it had the purple and golden yellow in the colors, I added a darker red with the 6X6 paper in my kit and the word paper too. Added gold within the border strips and the alpha, 1 pop of red with the word sticker in the top left corner.
Added some on the wood veneer that I had in the kit too and purple enamel hearts to finish off the layout.
Title block.
Thanks for stopping by and I look forward to seeing what you create with this fun challenge :)

European Sterling layout for Use Your Stuff challenge

We were challenged this week to use Animals for our project :) I got to go no further than my own house as we have a pooch that shares it with us, but also the front yard as I'm an avid birderer too so will see many feather friends too. This layout is about one of the birds we see in the winter time at the feeders
This layout was created for LOAD218 Day 27 One of the 3 prompts was Create a page about Wildlife. Even though we recently went to a zoo, wildlife for me is to look through my bird pictures :) Using just a project life card from my February counterfeit kit: Pretty Little Pasttimes, the rest came from my stash
The journaling about the bird, I do enjoy scrapping about birds
Some close up pictures of the layout and using some raw chipboard for my clusters too

Thank you for stopping by and I look forward to seeing your creation for this fun challenge of Animals over at Use Your Stuff challenge blog.

Let's Go to the Fair

Good Morning to you :) I'm a little delayed on posting this layout for Stick It Down we were away yesterday and I never checked on it to realize it was still in draft mode in blogger :) Yep that kind of weekend just went with the flow with no cares as to what was happening :) I seen Friday's post was the same way so you'll see that one later today. So did you all have a great holiday weekend :) We did and you'll see layouts from the place that we visited yesterday, The National Civil War Museum, it was very interesting.
So this is the 1st challenge of the month over at Stick It Down the double page layout, but first I want to share with you today and our sponsor this month is Spiegelmom Scraps!

SpiegelMom Scraps is a specialty sequin mix shop based in Racine, Wisconsin (US).   SMS's owner, Jody, began her love of crafting as a child with her Nana and making coasters with yarn and plastic canvas.  From then on she never looked back and has always been creative.  She's been scrapbooking nearly 20 years and has always loved to sprinkle pretty little details throughout her scrapbook pages.  Jody's love of creating, adding tiny details and sparkle led her to start her business in 2010.  Since then SpiegelMom Scraps has grown, along with Jody's busy family, to a one woman small business with a fabulous design team called the Sparklers.   Jody and the Sparklers enjoy teaming up with other small businesses to swap products to create with and hosting fun events on social media.  Jody would love you to join them on their creative journey by following SMS on social media.  There's LOTS of inspiration and a wonderful community in the 15 Minutes 2 Scraps Facebook group also.  Please stop by and leave a comment telling us where you heard about SMS!

You can find SMS inspiration on the BLOG, Instagram, You Tube channel, and the Facebook group.

Pick up the new September releases in the shop and check out the FREE cut files they offer!
SID peeps can enjoy a 20% off shopping code, anytime, with code SIDSMS.
Here is the Double Page sketch:
and this the layout I created from the sketch:
I really wanted to mimic the busyness of the border of the sketch and thought that layering different pattern papers and punching a couple would do it :) This was a few of the exhibits we saw at the fair within the buildings picking out a few favorites to scrap. I increased the number of photos from 6 to 7 and changed it up a bit but the essence of the sketch is still there.
The left side of the layout:
This year at the fair I concentrated most of my pictures to the flower exhibits and this side of the page shows a few that I chose that I really liked. I used alot of scraps on this layout from my August kit: Summer Life as this is part of our Summer Life. I used scraps from the kit for the border strips and bringing in the triangle pieces that were in the sketch.
The right side of the layout
You see the same elements on this side that was on the left side other than I did the photos into a grid to add more of them to the layout. The striped border reminds me of all those ribbons on the photo of Dave with the canning jars. There were some great exhibits this year at the fair.
Some close up photos of the layout
I used a variety of embellishments from my kit too. Word card, die cuts and puffy stickers
More of the triangles were used on this side of the layout
The pictures on the left side of some of my favorites from the rest of the exhibits in the buildings
and my journaling.
Thank you so much for stopping by today and I look forward to seeing your creation for this fun busy bordered sketch :)
Stop back later to see the other post I have for you

Our Home layout

Good Morning and welcome :) I hope you are having an enjoyable Labor Day weekend :) I've got a huge list to tackle today so tomorrow can be enjoyed and relaxing too :)
Today starts us off with a new challenge month over at Lasting Memories Scrapbooking challenge.
Our theme for September is - Mixed Bag - meaning our challenges are going to be a little bit of this and a little bit of that! That's my kind of challenge :) Our first challenge of the month is:

LM #411 -  Since Labor Day is tomorrow here in the US, and it is the "unofficial" end to summer, create a summer themed layout and include the word "fun" on your layout - this can be in the title, in your journaling, or on your embellishments.

This is the layout I created
Still being inspired by that sketch I did for yesterday's post from Sketch N Scrap and this was the challenge for today over at Nicole Jones Scrap-A-Thon 2 and the Home prompt was a challenge for Scraptember a fun scrappy month in a facebook group :)
I enjoyed using a little of this and a little of that with my counterfeit kits, too Using paper from last mnonth's kit:Summer Life and July's kit:Dash of This and Dash of That, too and a little of the 6X6 paper cut apart sheet and the homegrown sticker sheet for my title and for embellishing on the layout from my current kit: Falling For You
I got the fun right there in the word stickers that I was adding to the layout so the challenge for Lasting Memories was fulfilled :)
This was a fun layout to create and I'm thinking the Shimelle's class Layer on Layer on Layer on is helping me with my current scrapping style.
Thanks for stopping by today and I do hope you enjoy the view where your at today :)

CKC - September Kit Reveal - Falling For You

Good Morning :)   If you are looking for the Sketch N Scrap post you can find it here.
Well hello September! I'm glad to see the humid August go! I'm the host this month for our forgery inspiration. You should have reached me from the creative Leslie's blog so excited to see what she pulled together for this inspiration. If you are just beginning the blog hop here then you will find the full hop order at the bottom of this post. But first we would like to give a shout out to our September Guest Forger Janet Madison. Janet has this fun YouTube channel: RTS Scrapbooking (Record The Story) She has lots of storage ideas, does scrapbooking layouts, makes kits, tutorials and a few fun series too.
I'm so excited to be hosting September and I chosen a kit that represents September quite well: Noel Mignon“Apple Crisp Classic Kit”. You can find it here https://www.noelmignon.com/products/apple-crisp-kit.

There is an unboxing video of the kit here this really shows the papers in detail.
When I chose this kit I knew right where I was going for most of my chosen paper for the month:
I remembered this paper pad I got last year and thank goodness my paper pads are organized so it was very easy to find.
My kit for the month is Falling For You
Lots of paper:
 Lots of Stickers and Alphas:
and close ups of the embellishments I chose:
Included some of the pinks and blues that were in the inspiration kit with in the paper and these fun embellishments
Wood veneer mason jars, fabric leaves, jewels and so much more.....
More wood veneer in bows arrows and some fun clips too
Some more die cuts and fabric pieces
I didn't have orange ribbon so grabbed brown ribbon also 2 washi tapes and more wood veneer. Now off you go and see what fun kit Laura came up with over on her Instagram page. Thanks for stopping by today and if you want a fun month of crafting give the challenge a try :)
