Victorian Christmas LO for Counterfeit Kit challenge

Good morning and welcome :) Here's the 2nd challenge of the month over at Counterfeit Kit Challenge blog. Lisa is the host this month and her challenge is:

This is my birthday month and of course, the festivities of Christmas are just around the corner which is certainly building up a certain amount of "anticipation"!

What are you excited for? What products have you been waiting impatiently to use or which projects are you itching to get started on? What events on the calendar are you looking forward to? What parts of the festive season are you wanting to start? There are so many ways to interpret this prompt!

Challenge #2 - Use the idea of "sweet anticipation" on your page or project today!

This time of the year I always anticipate our annual Victorian Christmas I was so excited about this year's that I went over to get tickets 2 weeks too soon! My kit of Christmas supplies is perfect to scrap this year's event. Using my kit Holiday Festivities this is my 1st layout created from the kit :) The event takes place today so over the holiday there will be a few more layouts created from today's event.

Thank you for stopping by today and seeing what I'm up to in my little corner of the world. I hope you join us over at Counterfeit Kit Challenge blog for this fun challenge.

CKC - November 2023 Kit Reveal - Holiday Festivities

Good Morning and welcome to a new month and a new inspiration kit to counterfeit! November is bringing in colder weather already! Not ready for 30 degree temps for sure. Lisa has taken up the duties to host this month and she chose a wonderful kit for us to counterfeit :) but 1st you should have arrived here from Tara's blog. We are thrilled to have Silvia Jorke as this month's Guest Designer you can find her post on instagram.

Lisa is our host and she says:

Now, onto the inspiration kit...

I had a hard time finding a kit that really spoke to me for this pre-Christmas… autumn-ish/spring-ish (depending on where you are in the world)… entering Advent-time… coming up to winter… end-of-year time…. but in the end went for a kit that is quite festive.

However, I really believe that it can be changed up to anything you want it to be ðŸ™‚.

There are bright colours and interesting patterns included as well as a good number of embellishments to inspire.

I hope you like it as much as I do and are excited to enter the festive time of year in a gentle way or take it in a different direction – there’s a lot going on at this time of year and this kit can be adapted for whatever you need!

The Hip Kit Club November 2022 main kit

 Here's my kit for October:

Holiday Festivities

It's actually a smaller kit for me, I'll be creating from the pictures of my annual Victorian Christmas day in November so thinking this kit should work out well for most of those pictures.

The papers, I chose mainly from my Pinkfresh Studio stash for this kit. The colors and icons have some similiarties.

I brought all my Christmas flair to play with.
And a mixed media kit to have some fun with too. I did add a Ruby Red glitter paste to this mix after the picture was taken. I am the end of the hop, I hope you will join us this month.

Don't miss a stop on the hop!

Murray Reynolds Falls LO for Sketch N Scrap challenge

Good Morning and welcome. Here we are in the middle of October, the weather was rainy and cold yesterday, Fall is definitely here.
We got a fun challenge over at Sketch N Scrap for the day. This sketch was created by Lori

It's a fantastic sketch, the LOAD prompt of the day was to use green so a waterfalls layout it was.
This is the last waterfalls in the area I was in and was heading back to where the waters meet. Looks like I got about 14 more sets of photos for this particular day to call the album finished :) I enjoyed finding the papers to create this layout from my color drawer other than a couple of scraps from my current counterfeit kit. I also used some embellishments from my kit and ephemera from 49&Market Naturalist collection.

Thanks for stopping by today to see what I created and can't wait to see what you create from this cool sketch over at Sketch N Scrap blog.

Loved This LO for Counterfeit Kit challenge

Good morning and welcome :) Here's the 1st challenge of the month over at Counterfeit Kit Challenge blog.

Challenge #1 - Let's Get Sketchy! Leslie has challenged us to use this sketch. She says:

Our inspiration kit club had their own sketch:

Check out their reveal post for inspiring creative takes on the sketch.

This is my take on the sketch:

I used all my pinks in my kit for this sketch and no stitching, but doodling the circle instead. The crop I attend in July, Kris showed off a bit of her town to Jennifer and I the last day while we were waiting for the store to open. So got to see a cool coffee shop and these cool murals too.

Thank you for stopping by today and seeing what I'm up to in my little corner of the world. I hope you join us over at Counterfeit Kit Challenge blog for this fun challenge.

CKC - October 2023 Kit Reveal - Blue Skies, Fall Butterflies

Good Morning and welcome to a new month and a new inspiration kit to counterfeit! October brings LOAD so lots of scrapping and the beauty of Fall is starting to arrive. Leslie has taken up the duties to host this month and she chose a wonderful kit for us to counterfeit :) but 1st you should have arrived here from Tara's blog. We are thrilled to have Laurie Crouse Winiarski as this month's Guest Designer you can find her post on our community facebook page.

Now for the inspiration kit reveal! I normally prefer not to chose an older kit, but I wanted to use another kit site than the usual plus a color scheme that will work for both ends of the globe in October :-)  Spring might take you lighter & brighter and Fall might shade the peachy/orange to a slightly deeper red on some of your selections. You can trade the flowers for leaves or butterflies for mushrooms!

 Here's my kit for October:

Blue Skies, Fall Butterflies

The chosen kit was a pretty one and surprised that is one collection I never bought. I mix matched papers from paper pads and collections to come up with the kit I have. Using the colors, butterflies, watercolor florals to draw from to put together my kit.

My paper choices there are 25 papers in my kit. Lots of florals as I got lots of pictures of summer flowers to still scrap and a few that will work with some Fall layouts too.
I brought in a few mixed media supplies in similiar colors to use and some of the diecuts I want to use too
More flowers, glitter tape and some flair too
Chipboard, Prima butterflies, and some pink flowers too
Some fun stuff from my February embellishment box from Some Assembly Required that worked out perfect with this kit
The chosen Laser cuts package and ephemera package too
To finish it off with some word chipboard, some small alphas and some Bubbles&Baubles.
I'm excited to dig in and get playing with this kit, but first I need to see what the other girls have pulled together and a good place to start is over at Brandi's insta  I'm excited to see how the inspiration moved her for her kit :) and if you get lost here is the full list

Harrison Falls LO for Counterfeit Kit challenge

Good morning and welcome :) Here's the 2nd challenge of the month over at Counterfeit Kit Challenge blog. I'm the host this month and my challenge is:

Challenge #2 - Just Having Fun!

There are some of my favorite items in this kit especially the cutfile and the mist! So I want you to have fun creating using those items: Cutfile and Mist on your layout, card or project

So I used 2 cutfiles from my kit and the spray from my kit I used to mist the paper and I also misted the one cut file too. Bringing in 2 more mists from my stash to mist the Hike cutfile too.

The background paper worked out well for the layout with the leaves and the pinecones made for a nice bottom border. The bright green paper and the brown polka dot paper worked out well with the colors from the photos. I'm at the halfway point of scrapping these waterfalls at Ricketts Glen and this kit is perfect for the beauty of this area in the Fall.

Thank you for stopping by today and seeing what I'm up to in my little corner of the world. I hope you join us over at Counterfeit Kit Challenge blog for this fun challenge.

Making it Up as I Go LO for Sketch N Scrap challenge

Good Morning and welcome. Here we are in the middle of September, the weather is changing getting a bit cooler as I see the signs of Fall coming.

We got a fun challenge over at Sketch N Scrap for the day. This sketch was created by Lori

This is the layout I created with it:
Having fun using the cutfile for the side border of star, I backed the file and colored it with markers too. Just my new normal now. Making lunches for work in one batch for the week usually on Mondays. I love how the back strips give good stability to the layout. Bringing in the red for some similarity for the lids color. I used my current counterfeit kit Purple Passion for my papers for the layout.

Thanks for stopping by today to see what I created and can't wait to see what you create from this cool sketch over at Sketch N Scrap blog.

CKC - September 2023 Kit Reveal - Purple Passion

September is here, Little League World Series had just ended over the weekend and around here that is the last hooray of Summer it seems, but is it. We've got some heat coming here early in the month so I guess Fall will be waiting a bit yet. While we're waiting on Fall to arrive lets enjoy the Greens, Blues and Purples of Summer yet with a fantastic kit from Not Just For Boys kit club.

We got a fun one this month for our Counterfeit Kit challenge. First you should have arrived here from Tara's blog  I'm excited to see what she has put together this month. Jennifer Croasdale is our guest designer this month , excited to see what she put together too. As I'm the host this month for Counterfeit Kit Challenge blog this is my choice of inspiration for kit making this month:

I've chosen a kit from the (Not) Just for Boys Scrapbooking Kit Club its a retired kit from this past year. It has a bit of a masculine feel with no pink involved :) It also has a few of my favorite colors in it and some neutrals too.
"This is what they say about the kit: Combines green, teal, and purple hues, just like the Aurora Borealis, with some darker navy shades, making it perfect to document springtime moments with a masculine feel. "
Main Kit:
{Not} Just for Boys Scrapbooking Kit Club - April 2023 Limitless Kit - Aurora

Another look at the embellishments

I dug out a few of the embellishments from the ephemera pack and used that to help me to decide the colors I was bringing into my kit:

Purple Passion
The papers:
The cutfiles I included
Close up:
The Alphas:
I didn't have the Pinkfresh Studios green alpha they had in the kit, but I found another one in a darker color that should work out just fine

I'm excited to dig in and get playing with this kit, but first I need to see what the other girls have pulled together and a good place to start is over at Brandi's insta  I'm excited to see how the inspiration moved her for her kit :) and if you get lost here is the full list
