Retirement Card for Sketch N Scrap sketch challenge

Good Morning and welcome. Happy Wednesday too you :) Today is the mid-month card sketch challenge over at Sketch N Scrap and Lisa created this fun card sketch for us to use :)

No automatic alt text available.
I turned the sketch to fit what I wanted for the Retirement card for a co-worker of Dave's:
Using scraps from various counterfeit kits the I had on my scrap desk and Dave telling me that Mac likes to fish I easily put this masculine card together :) It's nice to have die cuts already cut and ready at a moments notice for a quick card. Then the sketches always makes my cards fast to create :)
Bringing the elements of the outside of the card inside of the card to dress it up. Thank you for stopping by today and seeing what I'm up to in my little cornet of the world and I look forward to seeing your creation for this fun sketch over at Sketch N Scrap
Also check out the Summer Daze Crop event over at Facebook for more fun and more sketches to play with:

Rainy Day Layout

Hello today's challenge over at Use Your Stuff is Inspired by a Song - Create a project that is inspired by a song title, line, or is the theme of the project (ie concert, etc)
I created my title with a little help from Coldplay and their song Rainy Day
While cleaning up my craftroom I came across the rest of my papers from The Perfect Collection class of Shimelle's I did last year :) Score so some easy layouts coming up during the week when I have less time to create.
The title and the girl are both from cricut die cuts I had on hand
The washi tape and the gold pearls were the only other addition to the layout besides
My journaling card I added too. Thanks for stopping by today, just maybe I'll get the rest of this collection finished up and out of my stash. Looking forward to seeing your creation to this fun challenge over at Use Your Stuff is Inspired by a Song - Create a project that is inspired by a song title, line, or is the theme of the project (ie concert, etc)

Our Home LO for Challenge #2 - Midsummer Madness!

Good Morning and welcome to the mid-month challenge over at Counterfeit Kit Challenge blog.  Lisa has chosen a fun prompt for this 2nd challenge of the month.
It's almost midsummer's day here in the northern hemisphere and I for one, love this turn of the year. Watching the days get longer until they reach this high point before the sun starts to head south again and days get shorter again is part of the year's rhythm that I particularly note. And we all know just how much the Scandinavians mark Midsummer's Day with parties and celebrations. Celebrate the summer solstice (or the winter solstice if you are south of us!) for yourself with your project.
So that is the challenge for us and I did a layout of some pictures I took over the Spring that we prepare, we watch and we have fun leading up to summer. Summer here can get a bit warm and very humid so I enjoy the outside as much as my allergies are going to let me before heading back into the house.
Us preparing, Us having fun and Us watching. I used a fun sketch over at the Summer Haze crop for Sketch N Scrap, adding my fun take on the sketch. Everything on my layout is from this month's Counterfeit Kit challenge: Adventure Awaits
The pretty pastel colors of the kit help bring out out more of the photos and the embellishing,
I used all stickers on this layout except for the & signs that were acrylic (almost done with that old pack of beachy acrylic pieces from making memories 2007, thinking this is one of my oldest things in my kit this month :)
it was fun to add journaling with each photo besides the date too :)
Thanks for stopping by today and I look forward to seeing your link up of this fun challenge over at

Good Day Layout for a Sketches in Thyme PL style challenge

Good Morning to you :) I hope you are having a fantastic day and weekend.
This sketch challenge over at Sketches in Thyme Project Life Style is a date project life card. The card I created with Emma's sketch is:
Using one of the project life cards from my counterfeit kit: Adventure Awaits in it is the summer 6X8 album project I'm doing, really want to clear out the old Simple Stories I (heart) Summer collection so went there 1st for a card to use then used an acrylic piece for my kit for the circle and a scrap ribbon from my dish of goodies to use up, the rest came from various stickers in my stash.
Emma has created a fun sketch for us to work with once again:
Here is the layout I created:
Using the one paper from last month's counterfeit kit:  Geometric Beauty and the rest of the papers and stickers came from this month's counterfeit kit: Adventure Awaits to create this fun layout.
My title and journaling came from stickers and the clamshell border came from 2 papers from the 6X6 paper pad in my kit
This photo was fun as it showed at the era that the bridge was made what was expect with our own current era sign of the clearance height of the bridge.
My created date card in place
A picture of Dave, Tammy and I that day, the sun was so bright that day. Thank you for stopping by today and I look forward to seeing your creation for this sketch challenge over at Sketches in Thyme Project Life Style

You Are My Sunshine LO for a Sketch N Scrap challenge

Good Morning and welcome to today's sketch challenge over at Sketch N Scrap we had a fun sketch to play with:
No automatic alt text available.
I really liked that frame aspect of the sketch and in my monthly kit this month I had a pattern paper similar to the idea except in the round frame so that was how I chose the background paper for my layout with only having 1 photo for this layout I used the other spot to highlight a project life card:
I also framed up my photo like the scallop piece in the layout just reversed it for the photo. Added a die cut I got in a swap years ago for my title and some fun journaling on another project life card to round out the layout.
Closeups:
 My journaling
Added the date with a roll stamp
A few stickers and some enamel hearts for my clusters. I'm glad to have this picture of the boys scrapped and in such a fun way too.
Thanks for stopping by today and I look forward to seeing your creation linked up over at Sketch N Scrap

Happy Valentine's Day LO for a Funday Friday challenge

Good Morning :) A bit late on posting this challenge, we were on vacation last week and here I thought I had already did the post and had it prepared to pop up on Friday, but with everything going on to get ready for the trip I didn't get the post done.
Good Morning and Happy Friday to you :) It's Funday Friday and Today over at Jo's Scrap Shack our challenge is Always Anything Goes. Our sponsor this week is Little Blue Button Stamps. I had gotten Love Birds – printable art tiles bottle caps designs. I love to use their printable art tiles on layouts they make for a nice starting block for clustering. Here is the layout I created using it:
The fun art tiles made for fun clustering spots on my layout. This layout was created using left over scraps from my April counterfeit kit: Spring Flings and Easter Things and the purple background paper is from my 100 pattern paper pile. I used a sketch for my inspiration but can't remember where the sketch was (me bad!) The card I received my hubby is the center of attention on the layout and that created a wonderful title to the layout too.
The rose that he surprised me with for Valentine's Day and the journaling
One of the art tiles for this fun little cluster.
I added this fun piece of emphermia with the teal pattern paper. Another of the art tiles in the top corner of the layout for another cluster
and the last tile was added to the side of the card for the last cluster on the layout. I love the combination of the card and the picture to create a special layout for this year's Valentine's Day as when I see that rose I'll be reminded of what I felt when I saw it on my craft desk that day, totally utterly surprised!
Now it's your turn! Can't wait to see your creation for this fun challenge.

Remember Delicate Treasures layout for a Use Your Stuff challenge

Good Morning and welcome to this week's challenge over at Use Your Stuff challenge blog.
The theme of our challenge is .....
BUTTERFLIES

So get out your stamps, your dies or your embellishment and join in our fun!
I used butterfly wood veneers on this double page layout:
Using the papers I had created during Shimelle's Perfect Collection Class (just a few more pages left to this class and out of my stash too) I was easily able to put these photos and story together for LOAD518 Day 23 prompt: Tell a story about something that is too cute for words
Left side of the layout: I added the word block and the embellishment cluster to the 2 photos of Emily on this side of the layout. 3 generation photo of my husband Dave with our granddaughter Jessica and our Great Granddaughter Emily and on the other side of the double page layout is Emily's Sister our other Great Granddaughter Ava who is all full of personality :) Emily was not feeling good that trip and very clingy to Mom
Right side layout: so Ava got all of the attention and she's so comically at that age too :) Dave said he's got a new favorite among the Great Grandchildren, yep Ava stole her Great Pappy's heart that day :) Isn't that last picture just too cute for words :)
 Close up of the photos
another butterfly cluster with a word block
The last photo has the last butterfly cluster with my journaling too. So glad we had this chance to see the girls as they live in South Dakota and we live n the east coast so a bit hard to see them, so glad to have facebook so then we can see them growing up. Thank you for stopping by today and I look forward to seeing your creations from this fun challenge over at Use Your Stuff Challenge blog.

Time To Watch LO for Stick It Down challenge

Good Morning and welcome to the 1st post of today. This month's double page challenge over at Stick It Down is this :
and this is the layout I created with it:
This is a normal thing for us in the spring, especially when we start getting alot of rain. This year was no different and I added the pictures I took daily and my journaling for what was happening at the time :) This sketch was perfect for the layout. I used 5 pieces of pattern paper from my 100 pattern paper pile challenge and the matting of the photos was done with the brown dotted paper that was in my March counterfeit kit: Florally Whimsy
 My journaling
close up shots of the layout
I also used sequins from my May counterfeit kit: Geometric Beauty
Thanks for stopping by today and I look forward to seeing your creation with this fun sketch from Stick It Down

CKC - June Kit Reveal - Adventure Awaits

Good Morning and Welcome to June :) It looks like it's going to be a fantastic month full of Adventures for us! We are taking a real vacation the 1st week of June so that is exciting :)
Today is the 1st and that means it's a new Counterfeit Kit Challenge for the month. I'm at the end of the blog hop :) So you should have reached me from Margie's blog. If if you are just beginning the blog hop here then you will find the full hop order at the bottom of this post.
After doing a month of LOAD it was cool to find out that Alice Boll is our Guest Designer this month. You might know Alice from many different corners of the scrappy world - she runs the ScrapHappy community; leads the LOAD challenge (LayOut A Day in case you don't know) at least three times a year; reports from Creativation for all of us who can't be there; has her own blog at Scrapbook Wonderland and a Scrapbook Wonderland YouTube channel here. You need to check this gal out! Did I mention she's an awesome scrapper and memory keeper too?
What are counterfeiting this month you may be asking yourself? Lisa has picked out the May Hip Kit Club kit which you can find here https://www.hipkitclub.net/may-2018-main-kit. I loved the overall summery feel of this kit and it seemed so fresh and modern, full of trendy motifs and funky, fun colours.

May Hip Kit Club here

There are plenty of add ons to inspire you too. Make them all, combine them into one humungous kit, pick just a single to counterfeit or pick and mix to make up your very own, unique version!
There is also a lovely unboxing video by Hip Kit Design Team member Irit Landgraf where the kit can be seen here in all its glory! Check it out here.
This is my kit that I created through this inspiration:

Adventure Awaits

I've got a little bit of everything in here :) With us on vacation the 1st week I know I'll have lots to scrap when I get back, so need a big kit for that and I just recently got 99 prints that need scrapped too so lots of scrapping to be done this month :)
My papers, I found inspiration throughout the kit to get out of my stash. Added a couple of 6X6 paper pads too and some bird paper scraps
I found this old cardmaking kit that peacocks on it in pink thought it would be a good edition this month and get some cards made up quickly.
 Alphas
 Embellishments

The odds and ends: Date stamps, letter stamps, stencils, embossing folder, lots of stickers in used packs that I would like to get used up and washi tape
For the summer I added this fun 6X8 album to do the 101 Days of Summer with project Life cards and travel stickers so you'll see this occasionally throughout the summer.
I hope to see your kit linked up over at Counterfeit Kit Challenge Blog. If this was your 1st stop then you'll want to go to the beginning of the list and hop along to see what the other girls have come up with.
Here's the blog hop list for this month's reveal:
