Victorian Christmas LO for Counterfeit Kit challenge

Good morning and welcome :) Here's the 2nd challenge of the month over at Counterfeit Kit Challenge blog. Lisa is the host this month and her challenge is:

This is my birthday month and of course, the festivities of Christmas are just around the corner which is certainly building up a certain amount of "anticipation"!

What are you excited for? What products have you been waiting impatiently to use or which projects are you itching to get started on? What events on the calendar are you looking forward to? What parts of the festive season are you wanting to start? There are so many ways to interpret this prompt!

Challenge #2 - Use the idea of "sweet anticipation" on your page or project today!

This time of the year I always anticipate our annual Victorian Christmas I was so excited about this year's that I went over to get tickets 2 weeks too soon! My kit of Christmas supplies is perfect to scrap this year's event. Using my kit Holiday Festivities this is my 1st layout created from the kit :) The event takes place today so over the holiday there will be a few more layouts created from today's event.

Thank you for stopping by today and seeing what I'm up to in my little corner of the world. I hope you join us over at Counterfeit Kit Challenge blog for this fun challenge.

Eutermarks House LO for Sketch N Scrap challenge

Good Morning and welcome. Here we are in the middle of March already! It's been more like winter this month with snow and colder weather, but Spring is right around the corner.

We got a fun challenge over at Sketch N Scrap for the day. This sketch was created by Lori

This is the layout I created with it

Another stop on the Victorian Christmas Homes tour. Using a Simple Stories Simple Vintage Christmas Lodge collection throughout these photos of this event. So I had scraps available to play with to make the grid for part of my background and as I'm playing along with 100 day project I used a cutfile for that and playing along with Calvinball too I have a total of 37 pts for the layout.

Thanks for stopping by today to see what I created and can't wait to see what you create from this cool sketch over at Sketch N Scrap blog.

Christmas Eve 2017 - Stick It Down Challenge

Good Morning and welcome to my little corner of the world :) My 1st layout for Stick It Down challenge blog it's double page challenge for the New Year. As I had my Christmas papers out and my 2017 December Daily stuff out, thought this would be a good time to do a Christmas layout. Missing out on Christmas Eve with my siblings this past year because of covid this made me enjoy the memories of Christmas Eve. 1st here is the sketch for the double page layout team for January 2021:

This is what I created:

The sketch provided a fun way to display the photos of the evening.
Using a scrap of Christmas paper for the beginning of my title and some fun mix of alphas to bring in the colors from the other side of the layout, I used the chosen paper pad I had set aside for that year's December Daily (yes I'm behind on that!) for my paper choices besides using some of the gift wrap paper I received that night too from my gifts.

The grid on this side made for an awesome way to use some of the gift wrap I received from my gifts that night for this layout. using the gray scroll paper for the base and 3 different pieces of gift paper for the other 3 quadrants on the layout using a grid of photos certainly gives a cool look to the layout. Everyone was featured in the layout including my brother's 2 cats having fun with their gifts, my feature was the pile of gifts I received.

Thanks for stopping by today and I look forward to seeing what you create with this fun challenge over at Stick It Down challenge,

Christmas Eve Service for Sketch N Scrap challenge

Good Morning and welcome! Hope the holiday preparedness doesn't hav you in to much of a tizzy at the moment, this year seems to be so different than any other year that I can remember of.

Welcome to the 2nd layout sketch challenge of the month over at Sketch N Scrap blog. Lisa has provided this great sketch perfect for the holidays to layer all that beautiful holiday paper too.

This is the layout I created sticking with the holiday theme and to have my cart out that has my 2017 photos on it I chose a few pictures from the Christmas Eve Service at church

I was blessed that year to not host the Christmas Eve dinner for my family so I was able to attend the beautiful Christmas Eve Service at my church.

Thanks for stopping by today and seeing what I'm up to in my little corner of the world.
I look forward to seeing what you create from this fun sketch over at Sketch N Scrap.

Pure Magic LO for Counterfeit Kit Challenge #1

Good Morning and welcome :) The 1st challenge for Counterfeit Kit Challenge is upon us for the month and Lisa has challenged us for the 1st challenge of the month with:
It's the New Year and a time to think about the classic saying
"out with the old and in with the new"!

Your challenge today is to check through your kits to identify the NEWEST and OLDEST items in there, and then use both of them on your project. Don't forget to let us know just how old these products are!

Let's see who's got the longest time difference!

Good Morning and welcome :) The 1st challenge for Counterfeit Kit Challenge is upon us for the month and Lisa has challenged us for the 1st challenge of the month with:
1st thing was too look through the paper to see what was the oldest, I already new what was the newest. I found some Basic Grey from 2010, The red glitter paper was from 2007 (when I started scrappin :) and the other paper is a Karen Foster Design paper with no date. Now the New stuff is the shiny gold enamel dots I got for Christmas. This was the starting basis of the layout:

The finished layout:
Used some of the other bits and pieces in my kit too :) The pictures are of myself and my grandson Zachary when he was just a year and half :) Christmas 2011. Glad to have this memory captured.
 My journaling
 Lower cluster
The middle cluster including a tag I made from that glitter paper :)
My title work with added strip of washi from my stash.
Thanks for stopping by today to see what I'm creating in my little corner of the world :) I've come to find that I don't scrap many Christmas photos, but have lots of the in envelopes so thinking I better get to scrappin those photos I found, these are from 2011 and I don't think I was even considering doing a December Daily till 2012 so makes for some easy scrapping this month to get them done :)
Can't wait to see what you create for this fun challenge over at Counterfeit Kit Challenge Blog, yes dive into that kit and look to see what the oldest is, it will surprise you :)

The Double Page sketch:
this is the layout I created with this fun sketch:
Nice to be scrapping some holiday photos from past years :) these are from 2017.  Pictures with Brad's family December 26th.
This is the left side of the layout using my current counterfeit kit: Christmas Joy. Just about spot on with that side of the sketch,
Close up of the picture of use with the grandboys and used a fun vellum piece on my layout with the tag and brad.
The right side of the layout has more pictures from the evening, more of Tristan that of Zachary thinking with all the action going on I must have been getting lots of blurry photos that night.
Close up of some journaling strips that I cut from a scrapbook paper from my November counterfeit kit: Everyday Insight and the diecuts and puffy stickers from my current kit :) It was a fun layout to create :)

Good Morning and welcome to this week's challenge over at Stick It Down. Our February sponsor is

You can visit Jenny at her Etsy store and on Instagram

Here is our February double page sketch:

this is what I created with the sketch:
This is the double page layout from our visit to Unkle Joe's Woodshed that we did Oct. 27, 2018 when we went Christmas Shopping in Mill Hall, PA
Left side of the layout I embellished with all kids of sparkly embellishments including the background paper too.
Using a few of the photos from what I printed, it was an interesting store.
Right side of the layout:
I added 3 more photos, feel in love with that Patriotic Christmas Tree, they had some many trees decorated by theme it was pretty darn cool. Another picture of the general store itself, some unique gifts there. I added more sparkle with the red & white candy stripe paper. Adding some of the embellishments from the left side over to this side of the page. Added the blue for another color to the layout :) I liked the way it turned out.
Thank you for stopping by and I look forward to seeing your creation of this fun sketch over at Stick It Down.

The Magic of Christmas LO for CKC Advent Calendar

I am so glad to join in the fun over at Counterfeit Kit Challenge for Day 11 in our Advent countdown! If you want some great ideas for Christmas scrapping/crafting you need to go and check this out we have a post for each day in December leading up till Christmas

The pictures go left to right across the double page layout. A Christmas gift that I had gotten my husband hmmm mid 1990s I would say, need to investigate this a bit better with comparing other photos. But I had fun getting this gift together with a bit of help from the delivery guys and getting them to stack the chairs to make 1 tall box. My husband is 6'4" so that gives an idea of how tall it was. As it was buy one get one free I also had a nice Christmas gift too :) But his reaction was priceless that day and a memory of a fantastic gift that I've never forgotten. Did find out that negatives just don't hold up well and these are with a bunch of negatives that I better get printed before they get any worst, will be looking into a local place that does this type of printing.

I used Christmas pattern paper and also some gift paper. I like to try to use a variety of fonts for my title and was able to achieve using 3 of them. using a variety of Christmas die cuts and a couple of project life cards too.
This layout was prompted during LOAD217 Greek Mythology for Day 16
DAY 16: Gifts
What is the best gift you’ve ever given or received?
This story of this gift is one of my favorite memories at Christmas time. So it was fun to finally get it documented :)

It's always great to dig into some old stash to do my Christmas layouts and I've got quite the stash of Christmas Scrappy items :) So maybe next year consider joining us over at Counterfeit Kit Challenge as we use up our stash in fun unique ways.....

Holiday Magic layout for a Use Your Stuff challenge

Hello and welcome to today's challenge over at Use Your Stuff challenge blog. We are having a collaboration with a pair of women with a fun challenge and a newer blog on the block :)
We have something super special going on for the next two weeks!

We are pairing up with Double Trouble Paper Crafting for a 2 week challenge!  This challenge will go from November 19th until December 2nd.

Here's a bit about our friends Double Trouble!

Welcome to Double Trouble - We're two retired ladies bringing you a new challenge blog where we hope you find fun and inspiration! We're not affiliated with any companies and welcome all participants. Our challenge will include Thing 1-Trouble Maker the Basic Challenge, Thing 2-Double Dare being a surprise element in which you may or may not decide to participate and Thing 3-Twisted Sister, will appear with an optional twist to the Challenge.

When you enter our challenge this week, be sure to run over to the Double Trouble Challenge blog and see what their co-coordinating challenges are!  The more aspects of the challenge you do, the more entries you will receive to win their prize!

This is our part for the challenge, we have a fun mood board to draw your inspiration from! There are lots here, pine, snowflakes, cocoa, some lovely colors, candy canes, Christmas trees and so much more!

I love mood boards for inspiration for a layout. I used the colors, red, green and white with a hint of gold/yellow for my accents. December in our house when I got the time available is baking Christmas Cookies and in 2017 I baked on 3 different days, some sweets for my sweet (the hubby)
I chose to use all the challenges: Thing 1's challenge to make a sweet treat for the holidays, Thing 2's challenge to use our mood board and Thing 3's challenge of adding sprinkles too :)
Besides the color sheme I used some sparkly snowflakes that was also on the mood board. It was fun to use paper from my current counterfeit kit : Just Bloomin' Lovely: the red paper, the 6X6 papers that I layered with and the 4X6 paper that I made my strips with, also the tassle bows and the green buttons! a win-win for this layout. Brought in green doilies, the snowflakes, the ribbon and the stars from my Christmas stash for Dec. 2017.
Using a sketch from Sketch N Scrap from Sept. 1, 2013 for my layout inspiration:
Close up photos
December 24, 2017 baking our favorite Sandtart cookies
Dec 17, 2019 Baking some newer cookie recipes something I try to do each year atleast one new recipe.
and finished it off with the Cookies I made for a Christmas style cookie party at work for us on 3rd shift, December 8, 2017.
Thanks for stopping by today and seeing what I'm up too in my little corner of the world.

Remember to head on over to the Double Trouble Blog and use our image as well as their challenge ideas to create your projects!  Link up to both blogs!  This challenge is going to run for 2 weeks and you can enter as often as you like, as long as you are creating new entries each time.

Christmas Gift Cards 2017 layout

Hi you all a quick post before heading to work :) I got this fun layout it will be the opposing page of the layout I did of my hubby and his kitchen aid since it was the same night.
I used my counterfeit kit: Sprinkle and I used the #310 sketch over at Sketches in Thyme for my inspiration:
I turned to work for the pictures I had. I loved using the poinsettias that were in my kit for that cute border.
Blogger is being a little pesty tonight so can't add the close up pictures, will try to add them tomorrow :) Thank you for stopping by today to see what I'm up too in my little corner of the world.
