Holiday Magic layout for a Use Your Stuff challenge

Hello and welcome to today's challenge over at Use Your Stuff challenge blog. We are having a collaboration with a pair of women with a fun challenge and a newer blog on the block :)
We have something super special going on for the next two weeks!

We are pairing up with Double Trouble Paper Crafting for a 2 week challenge!  This challenge will go from November 19th until December 2nd.

Here's a bit about our friends Double Trouble!

Welcome to Double Trouble - We're two retired ladies bringing you a new challenge blog where we hope you find fun and inspiration! We're not affiliated with any companies and welcome all participants. Our challenge will include Thing 1-Trouble Maker the Basic Challenge, Thing 2-Double Dare being a surprise element in which you may or may not decide to participate and Thing 3-Twisted Sister, will appear with an optional twist to the Challenge.

When you enter our challenge this week, be sure to run over to the Double Trouble Challenge blog and see what their co-coordinating challenges are!  The more aspects of the challenge you do, the more entries you will receive to win their prize!

This is our part for the challenge, we have a fun mood board to draw your inspiration from! There are lots here, pine, snowflakes, cocoa, some lovely colors, candy canes, Christmas trees and so much more!

I love mood boards for inspiration for a layout. I used the colors, red, green and white with a hint of gold/yellow for my accents. December in our house when I got the time available is baking Christmas Cookies and in 2017 I baked on 3 different days, some sweets for my sweet (the hubby)
I chose to use all the challenges: Thing 1's challenge to make a sweet treat for the holidays, Thing 2's challenge to use our mood board and Thing 3's challenge of adding sprinkles too :)
Besides the color sheme I used some sparkly snowflakes that was also on the mood board. It was fun to use paper from my current counterfeit kit : Just Bloomin' Lovely: the red paper, the 6X6 papers that I layered with and the 4X6 paper that I made my strips with, also the tassle bows and the green buttons! a win-win for this layout. Brought in green doilies, the snowflakes, the ribbon and the stars from my Christmas stash for Dec. 2017.
Using a sketch from Sketch N Scrap from Sept. 1, 2013 for my layout inspiration:
Close up photos
December 24, 2017 baking our favorite Sandtart cookies
Dec 17, 2019 Baking some newer cookie recipes something I try to do each year atleast one new recipe.
and finished it off with the Cookies I made for a Christmas style cookie party at work for us on 3rd shift, December 8, 2017.
Thanks for stopping by today and seeing what I'm up too in my little corner of the world.

Remember to head on over to the Double Trouble Blog and use our image as well as their challenge ideas to create your projects!  Link up to both blogs!  This challenge is going to run for 2 weeks and you can enter as often as you like, as long as you are creating new entries each time.

  2. Tina, what a great layout and love that you make use of 6x6 papers for layering...what a great idea instead of cutting up a beautiful piece of design paper you might want to use as your background layout. And oh my I guess I better get shopping for my ingredients for my sugar cookies. Please share your beautiful scrapbook page with us at Double Trouble and help our Twisted Sister get on the Nice List, she's still got a long way to go. Hope to see you there.

  4. Great layout...those cookies look amazing! My mom & I used to spend an entire day baking cookies and I've got out of the habit since she passed away (plus I don't need the calories, LOL!) but this year my niece is going to be my baking partner. Please take a minute and link up your beautiful creation at Double Trouble.
