Be Merry- Christmas card for Counterfeit Kit Challenge

Back today with another fast card if you need one for the holidays with Counterfeit Kit Challenge. There has been fantastic ideas all month form my design team sisters this month over at Counterfeit Kit Challenge :) This is a great reference for cards needed next year too.

Season's Greetings

Today's technique is using a tag on your card, this addition can make the card very festive without alot of bulk

Using a Tag

Christmas time is a great time to buy premade tags and they are really getting to look fantastic too! I had gotten packs of tags at the Dollar Store and used them in a variety of ways
Add some glitter paper and a doily is a nice touch behind the tap and dress it with some soft embellishments if you like. Easy Peasy card for the holidays and they don't need to know you bought the tags!

Thanks for stopping by today and seeing what I've been creating in my scrappy corner of the world. I want to wish all my friends and followers and Merry Christmas! You may see a post or 2 yet before we begin the new year

Let It Snow! Christmas card for Counterfeit Kit Challenge

This month we took off creating kits, but we're still active over at Counterfeit Kit Challenge blog each day bringing you a Christmas card. So if you need ideas for cards this year this is the place to go for inspiration.

Season's Greetings
Sometimes all you need is a few shapes for a fast Christmas card especially when your getting towards the end of the mailing season. Using punches is a fast way to do that!

I love using my snowflake punches during the season of making Christmas cards it adds a fun addition to the card without a lot of bulk. Stars are also a great punch this time of the year too :) With a washi tape border I added 3 punched snowflakes to my card with a sentiment to compliment the snowflakes. A fun snowman foam sticker to finish it off.

I didn't stray to much from the sketch, really good one to use too :)
I had a blast creating this layout and so cool how it turned out :) I had so many extra photos from 2017 more than I will need for my December Daily (yes, not done with that yet!) That decided to do a few layouts this month with the pictures.

Washi Tape card for Counterfeit Kit Challenge

This month we took off creating kits, but we're still active over at Counterfeit Kit Challenge blog each day bringing you a Christmas card. So if you need ideas for cards this year this is the place to go for inspiration.
Season's Greetings

I used washi tape for my card today to add a fun border to the card. Great way to use some of your washi tape stash is with borders :)

This is a very easy card which is great this time of the year and the added embellishments isn't to bulky so makes for at good shipping card too. I used 5 different strips of Washi Tape on the card, 4 for the border and 1 for the sentiment. Relatively quick and simple to make.

Thanks for stopping by today and checking out what I'm up to in my scrappy corner of the world :)

Ava 1st Halloween Pumpkin LO for Sketch N Scrap Challenge

Good Morning and welcome to Sketch N Scrap's 2nd layout challenge. Heather provided this fun sketch for us to use:
No photo description available.
What a fun sketch and this is what I created with it:
I had fun doing alot of smooshing mists to create that background that Heather had going on in her sketch and using the 4 photos I found from this day. Thanks to Jessica for posting the photos on facebook I was able to Enjoy seeing Ava's 1st pumpkin picking photo and made sure that was the largest photo, with the family & friends photo coming in 2nd in size. The pumpkin photos I put diagonally from each other with Ava's above her photo and here sister Emily's below the family photo (Dad is holding Emily, while Mom is holding Ava and then there is also Amber in the bottom of the photo and Jonathon taking the photo)
I used my current counterfeit kit Everyday Insight for my papers for this layout. Thanks for stopping by today and I look forward to seeing your creation from this fun sketch over at Sketch N Scrap

35 Weeks LO for Counterfeit Kit Challenge #1

The 1st challenge for Counterfeit Kit Challenge is upon us for the month and Lisa has challenged us for the 1st challenge of the month with Anticipation.

"For many, November is a time of anticipation - before the fun of Christmas begins, looking forward to - or maybe dreading - the weather turning colder and winter showing its face,  or the year coming to an end. Or, like me, it might be a time full of birthdays, wedding anniversaries and family visits. Whatever it is you're expecting, waiting for or feeling excited about, be inspired by the anticipation of something today!"

Mine was easy enough answered when I seen this photo that my granddaughter took and post on facebook:
Yes! Our newest treasure to the family arrives in December and we're excited to meet our Great Grandson. With a December birth the frost collection I had in my counterfeit kit Everyday Insight this is one of the times that it's not the everyday :) but insightful :) The snowy of the frost collectio was perfect match to the boy theme of the baby and the pink flowers for the shirt are honored er in the flowers too. I used a sketch to help me with the layout

Family Gather 2 PG LO for Stick It Down challenge

Good Afternoon :) and welcome back to the 2nd post of the day :) you can find the Use Your Stuff challenge post here.
It's a new month and a new round of sketches over at Stick It Down. We have a great sketch for you double page layout gals this month:
Wow how fun is this :) and look at those strips perfect for scraps in your stash :) this is what I created using this sketch:
A visit we had in March 2017. It was the 1st time we got to see Ava our Great Granddaughter, Jessica's 2nd child. Boy what a socialable person she is :) She was back and forth with Dave and I. Poor Emily wasn't feeling good and wanted to stay with Mommy but did get a cute pick of her on Mommy's lap. These are the best moments :) I used my counterfeit kit: Groovy Chic for the layout and lots of bits and pieces from my stash to make those borders
Thanks for stopping by today and seeing what I created for this month's Double Page challenge over at Stick It Down. I look forward to seeing your take on this fun challenge :)

I've been creating graduation layouts from our Granddaughter's Graduation last year and it was great to use the scraps throughout to keep the theme together.
Used lots of scraps on this layout :) what makes a fun fast layout is using scraps :) some stamping and some stickers too. Thank you for stopping by today to see what I'm up too in my scrappy corner of the world :) Now I can't wait to see your take on this fun challenge over at Use Your Stuff challenge blog this week.

CKC - November 2019 Kit Reveal - Everyday Insight

Happy November :) and the 1st of the month brings about a new kit to counterfeit and create from your stash over at Counterfeit Kit Challenge blog. I'm your last stop on the blog hop this month you should have arrived here from the creative Lori's blog so excited to see what she pulled together for this inspiration. . This month our hostess Lisa brought a down home wintry feel of inspiration from a kit club from her part of the world and found a gorgeous collection of exclusive products at a Dutch online shop
Scrapdelight Scrapwinkel
https://www.scrapdelight.nl/dls-kits-amp-workshops/losse-kits/
She decided on the pocket page kit for our main inspiration, but there are options for full scrapbook pages as well as a paper add on that can be used for additional images or inspiration.
She was particularly inspired by the beautiful colours and paper designs - it seemed so wintry and seasonal without being all about snow and Christmas.

But there is a "traditional" scrapbook kit too:

And the add on paper kit so that you can see a bit more of the paper design:

We would love to welcome  our Guest Designer for November and am thrilled to have scrapbooking extraordinaire, Tara, with us this month! Tara of
Tara's Ramblings

I actually chose from both kits besides the colors I was drawn to the icons and patterns of the kit and went through part of my stash to find bits and pieces for my kit:
I was drawn to the checks and added some plaids too. I was drawn to the houses and really added a variety of those to my kit and then the coffee cups! added the wood and light bulbs too. Yep everything reminded me of home and everything in :) a good month for that as this time of year it's about home and family :) But I did add some travel papers and stickers too for some scrappy fun :)
My papers in the kit :) Just enough for the month :)
Then added some sticker sheets :) lots of fall but lots of home too a nice addition to the papers above. That's it that's my kit :)
Thanks for stopping by today and if you came here 1st then you want to see what my sister forgers have curated for the kits from this inspiration :)

3rd Place WMSPT Red C layout for a Counterfeit Kit Challenge

Good Morning and welcome to the 2nd challenge of the month over at Counterfeit Kit Challenge blog. Laura our hostess this month has challenged us to use that kraft piece that was in the inspiration kit: Our inspiration kit this month features a piece of Kraft cardstock, so my challenge to you is to create a layout or project featuring this forgotten favourite. It doesn't have to be cardstock or paper, it could be a tag, label or sticker.
I had already cut into the one I had in my kit for another project :) But I had enough left over to punch a border for my layout and I also added a kraft journaling card that was in my kit too.
Our grandboys, OMgosh from 2012 (7 years ago!) Kraft worked perfect with that green and brown paper that I used for the layout. Added a banner (from the LOAD17 prompt which was a prompt to tell a story of an award too) I've had these pictures sitting what it seems like a long time in my photo box and so glad I finally got them on scrapbook paper :) Their 1st year playing and their team took 3rd place not to bad. I had fun using other elements from my Counterfeit Kit: Groovy Chic.
Avery :) Being a goof ball has excelled in football, now playing for Wmspt Area High School
Elias has now take an interest back in football and will be playing on JV level of the Wmspt Area High School
My journaling and a few buttons from my kit :) Thanks for stopping by today and I look forward to seeing your creation with this fun sketch :) over at Counterfeit Kit Challenge

Repairing layout for a Sketch N Scrap challenge

Good Morning and welcome to the midmonth layout sketch challenge over at Sketch N Scrap. Today's sketch is from Heather Hall and it's a fun one:
No photo description available.
Got my new printer working finally and got these fun pictures from the summer to use for this sketch a process of getting my tractor ready for the show, Dave wanted to use the cultivator attachment for me to have an easy way to get up on the tractor, plus I would also be able to help out with the garden too.
Using a Bo Bunny collection that was in my July 2018 counterfeit kit Dash of This and Dash of That. Always fun to go back and use a kit :)
The alphas for the title did come from my current counterfeit kit  Groovy Chic, yep it helped having the red alpha this month :)
Loved adding the journaling block to the side of my pictures a way to extend the photo mat.
Fun small picture, nod to the sketch, of me with my tractor after I washed it :) It's ready for showing now :)
Thank you for stopping by today and I look forward to seeing what you create for this fun sketch over at Sketch N Scrap

Boo to You LO - Use Your Stuff Challenge

Good morning and welcome to this week's challenge over at Use Your Stuff challenge blog. Mayo is our hostess this week and has challenged us to Use a Pumpkin on our project, Either on a photo, if you make layouts, a die cut, a stamp, whatever, as long as it's a pumpkin.
Here is my take on that challenge:
This was made from another challenge too, using chalks, for Nicole Jones Scrap-A-Thon 4 and also for LOAD1019 Day 1 prompt. Basically I went with being dressed up as the prompt was Drag for Tom Hanks series Bossum Buddies, yes we are doing a month of Tom Hanks inspiration, this girl could really having the blahs about it but a trooper and making sure the prompt works for me :)
So this picture has been hanging around for a while and finally thought I should scrap that one :) My 2 youngest kids Kevin and Jill, 1994, thinking this may have been the last time they went out trick or treating :) I even made Jill's costume :) As you can see I use a variety of pumpkins on the layout, even the ones that are in my counterfeit kit Groovy Chic this month in that box of chipboard.
Close up of the middle section, had fun creating the chalked background and will definitely be doing that again :) I finished up the purple Halloween dazzles I had and got that out of my stash :) plus some phrase stickers too.  Thank you for stopping by today and I look forward to seeing your creation for this fun challenge over at Use Your Stuff challenge blog.

CKC - October 2019 Kit Reveal - Groovy Chic

Good morning and welcome in October! September was crazy busy with lots of overtime and a tractor show in the middle of it :) But I did get lots of scrapping done and hope to post some of those this month, but 1st.......
Laura is giving this month a try of being a host for Counterfeit Kit Challenge. First you should have reached me from the creative Lori's blog so excited to see what she pulled together for this inspiration. So Laura pick for October is the ‘Summer of ‘69’ kit from Studio Calico and yes, it is from 7 years ago! However, she say that if they released this kit today I would totally want to buy it, and I feel it looks just as fresh and bright as it’s modern counterparts.
 https://cdn.studiocalico.com/kits/pictures/000/000/584/xmedium/SCAugust2012Main_(3_of_3).jpg?fbclid=IwAR0oEbxSFNJ1G86tkylcFCYjmLNgOU4rHV0k8ol2au8idrAg-7woDsOr27k
Wow isn't this just a Groovy kit! Love the vibrant colors and with the softer coolers. You can find the unpacking of the kit here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3ZHQVaxabFw&fbclid=IwAR3DMwpc8LQG3f9DO83fTm1bzURdI1pRRtjp8SPUAOnqaDyRS6oX4RuSh10

So this is what I came up with for my kit: My counterfeit of this kit is:
Groovy Chic:

My papers I choose both sides of the papers in the kit plus add a few more along the way:
I raided my pattern paper drawers this month for most of my picking, but I also used some paper pads so bring in some old paper and some newer paper too. The dark grey paper is actually green and has embossed leaves on it that didn't come out so well for the camera. I added 2 6X6 paper pads that are similiar in patterns and colors.
My alphas for the month, no chipboard in this picture but the red and pink are there.
This is something I got with a scrapbook box sale from a local girl and it was in the box with lots of scrapbooking stuff :) I noticed the pink chipboard with some other chipboard and thought it was a good time to sort through it :)
The 2 stamp sets I chose for the month :) something similar but quite different than what they had.
As you can see from the picture of the kit I've got buttons, doilies, diecuts, tags, chipboard, pearls and gems plus 3 things of washi :) in a different color than what Susan had used in her hint post in the facebook group :) but I knew when I seen I had some so I included that too.  Lots of bold colors, softer colors and neutrals too in this kit. I think it's gonna be a fun one to play with this month :)
Thanks for stopping by today and I hope you join in with us for some fun this month with this fantastic inspirational kit over at Counterfeit Kit Challenge blog, now off with you go and see what our hostess Laura came up with for a kit over on her Instagram page
