#Playlist

Hi you all! This was the fun LOAD prompt from yesterday and this is the layout I created from it:

Mixology was the prompt: Do you have a mix of songs for driving? For cleaning house? For scrapbooking? For relaxing? How does music affect what you’re doing?
I went with cleaning house cause I always seem to enjoy these tunes in the CD player while I'm cleaning. Thank goodness for project life so I can have these kinds of pictures on hand to grab for this layout.
I used the sketch over at Let's Get Sketchy:

This was the perfect sketch to play with too.

 This fun playlist sheet came from my smash pad and included the CDs I usually put in the player on any typical Saturday that I'm home cleaning.

 I loved the scattered pieces of scraps to lay the pictures on. Made a very nice backdrop for the photos.

This was a fun sticker I found on the sticker sheet from the SS: Daily Grind. I used a label to include the title of the layout. I used mainly my current counterfeit kit for the layout with the addition of the Daily Grind arrow paper and stickers

Free Ride layout

Hi you all! Hope your having a fantastic day today :) I've been so busy with May's LOAD that the poor blog has been very neglected. That darn work thing seems to keep getting in the way :) just not enough hours in the day. This layout was made for a sketch from Let's Scrap so I need to get this posted ASAP!
The daily inspiration for this layout was from yesterday and it was: It’s Monday, so that must mean we’re in a mood for Mood Music: What’s YOUR song? Make us FEEL it on your page!
I've got a lots and lots of songs that I just love! Some will get me moving, but this one always got me movin on the bike! my own personal jam you might say with an effort to rock while riding.

So here is the sketch that I used I only used the left hand side of the layout for my layout.

This was a fun sketch to use :) Because of the style picture I used I changed up the rotation of that part of the sketch, but that was about it. I used stars for the hexagons, really have been enjoying these stars this month (a prize that I won and received on National Scrapbooking Day so it was added to my current counterfeit kit).

I used the Puffy Alpha Stickers from ATD for my title which is the name of the song.

 It was fun to add the journaling to one of the circles from the paper that I used. I also added the name of the song and the group that sang it in another circle.

 The little Polaroid came from a cut off sheet and fit the layout just right. The Me and You came from the Basic Grey Hipster pad of snippets. It fits in 2 ways: me and the bike have memories and the 2 bikes for me and Dave for the memories we have riding together.

At one time a bike was my only way of transportation even going to work at night this is what I used to travel with :) I've got so many great memories riding a bike that it could probably take on a smashbook in itself for each story. Something to consider in the future I guess. Thanks for stopping by today and seeing the view from my little corner of the world... now to go and tackle today's layout :)

Summer Beauty 2014 for Funday Friday

Good Morning and Happy Friday :) It's been awhile since I posted, been crafting alot, I'm doing May LOAD so there hasn't been much time to blog, just creating. Will try to catch up over the weekend. So it's Funday Friday over at Jo's Scrap Shack and the theme this week is Anything Goes! Our sponsors are Di's Digi Stamps and Bugaboo Stamps. I used Bugaboo's stamp: Flower Garden:

These are some of the pictures of the flowers that we had in our yard last summer. We do enjoy putting in some beauty for the eyes to see. I used my last month counterfeit kit and some of this month's kit too.
For the layout I used the right hand side sketch from Scrap Much? May 1st sketch:
 
 Here is an up-close picture of the stamp:

I colored it with markers and stickles. Added SU bright candy dots to the flower centers for dimension.

 Added lots of fun little details to the layout :) Tag for the journaling and a 4X6 Recollections journal card for a photo mat. I used 2 different vellums for backgrounds

The title came from thickers: Fantastic. Have added this layout to the challenge over at another freaking scrappy challenge for Flowers

What a Nut Layout

Good Morning my fellow crafters and bloggers. Happy Scrapbook Day to you a day late :) Did you all enjoy any scrapping yesterday? I did for some of the morning and most of the afternoon till dinner time :) I accomplished 3 layouts playing along with the Sketchathon and Counterfeit Kit Challenge. So it was a very enjoyable and relaxing Saturday for me.
Today is a new challenge over at Lasting Memories last week started the new month of challenges with Life Affirmation theme today's challenge is Determination there is such a wide range of possibilities with this, but I went with one that just maybe a bit unusual but really does fit well with the theme:

Yep the squirrel is determined to get in the bird feeder and he finally accomplished the day I took the pictures. I used 2 different challenges to come up with my layout. The first one is from the sketchathon challenge with this sketch and we had to add brads to the layout too:

It was a fun sketch to try, I like the bottom section of the sketch and thank goodness this month's counterfeit kit had that scallop edge paper in it, that gave me one of the pattern papers for the other challenge over at Counterfeit Kit challenge: Susan's recipe challenge:
Make a layout using the following:
5 brads or enamel dots
4 patterned papers
3 stickers or pieces of chipboard
2 labels or journaling spots
1 piece of ribbon, twine or washi

you can see all 4 pattern papers here: with 3 of them making up the bottom edge of the layout. The white was prescalloped and the blues I used my Recollections punch. The peach is the ribbon for the recipe.

The brads I used are the snowflakes scattered about the layout, the 2 journaling spots are here together one helped make up the block for the title and the other has the journaling on it. The title comes from that sticker I found.

The rest of the recipe is in this top corner of the layout, with the chipboard triangle and the pennant sticker from a recollections pack for the creative chaos series.

This particular time the bird feeder was in the tree, hanging down from one of the limbs. It seems to have jumped to get onto to the feeder and make sure to be on the side so all it's weight isn't on the perch that will close it up.
He's determined to get in the feeder as we are determined to keep him out! He may have won this battle were determined to win in the end!

Butterfly Kisses layout

Good Morning, ahhh it's Monday! Had a long night last night I hope your Monday is better than mine was. I have a layout I did for the sketchathon challenge sketch #25 and the twist was to add a large title to it:

This is my little great granddaughter Emily, 3 weeks old in these pictures. Her parents took her to the butterfly gardens I guess near their place in South Dakota. This is the sketch:

I kept to the base of the sketch pretty well. the left side has the butterfly transparency that was in my counterfeit kit, thought it worked out well for the theme. Also on another Purple/Scallops challenge #2, so the purple of her butterfly wings fit that theme very well and I brought in the purple background designer pattern paper, the purple hearts paper, purple vellum punched with a recollections punch and added the purple ribbon to cover up the tape.

I shifted the journaling strips so I could have the 2 pictures of her in the wings. I have more pictures to this outing and will do another page to it later this week. The rhinestone butterfly was from last month's kit.

The title block came from a swap a few years back, it's from the cricut imagine and the lady that did it really did a fantastic job on dressing it up. This past week I went through my swap cuts and put a few that I plan to use aside and this one was one of them.

 The journaling strips I moved up to the right hand side of the layout, seemed to help with the empty space there. I used my Dymo labler for the strips  in the blue.

I tacked down the transparency at each corner with the brad/flower combo from Queen & Comp. Sassy Sequins. Overall I really like the way it turned out. So far all the sketches have been lost of fun to use. This is the last week of the sketchathon so got to get in gear and get er done!

I Am A Big Brother

Hi you all :) I hope your having a fantastic weekend. I have been doing laundry and cleaning up a bit here myself. It's a beautiful day so I've hung clothes out to dry, just love spring days like this.
This is a layout I did for the sketchathon over at My Scraps & More forum. This is from sketch #3 and it's from that box of memories that I'm working through this month. Not even a dent into it yet so maybe continuing it through next month also. Just have to wait and see what happens next week with it as I continue with the sketches:

This was the next picture to do that was in my box of memories. Zachary holding his little brother Tristan at the hospital. He looks so proud, can't believe that was over a year ago. Here is the sketch I used:

The only other thing was this one had a twist and some of them will have something else to do with it other than the sketch: This one has just a little twist....add some mist, paint, spray or ink to your page!

I added the sei Tumble Dye mist, that is in my current counterfeit kit, to various spots on the layout It's like a golden yellow, bringing in more yellow from the frame around the picture and the CTMH yellow arrow washi tape. The title work is done with the gold letters in my kit too. The heart swirl was sitting on my desk from another project and I added that to the layout too. The heart swirl file is from Creative Pointe Valentine Hearts set

 I used a very old scrapbook kit for the hello baby frame, the heart stickers and the baby/balloon stickers I used my SU chevron punch for the chevron arrows pointing to the picture

My journaling block was from the PL cards that are in my current kit. Also added the baby boy dimensional sticker to cover the noted spot on the card. A good layout for Tristan's 1st year book. All the papers and that fun yellow arrows washi tape is in my current counterfeit kit.

Daddy's Treasure for the April CKC Blog Hop

Hello and welcome to this month's Counterfeit Kit Challenge Blog Hop. You should have come to my blog by way of the amazing Julie from Spend Less Craft More

My take is on both challenge #1 and #3. I've been doing the Sketchathon challenges this month so the layout was done with Sketch #22:

 
 Also I love spring because of all the beautiful colors that are emerging from the dead of winter. So the layout is very colorful with flowers about the layout. This is pun title layout (from another challenge over at the Scrappin N Chattin yahoo group) Daddy's Treasure is Tammy his only daughter born amongst all his boys.
Some up close pictures of the layout. I used my current counterfeit kit for most of the layout but I do keep previous kits close by incase I need anything I especially want on my layout. 

This layout is also part of my Box of Memories series that I have been doing on ScrappersChallenge facebook group. The one piece of pattern paper came from the box, I used it for the photomat and for the pennant strip in this bottom corner.

Knoebels Then & Now

Good Morning! Hope you all are enjoying this fine Sunday. We are having some fantastic spring weather the last few days. I spent some time outside yesterday hanging up laundry and playing a bit with Buddy. Spring allergies keeps me indoors alot, but sometimes I gotta get out and get some fresh air:) Today's challenge over at Lasting Memories is Family Travel Traditions. We had 2 travel traditions growing up but I focused on the one that Dave and I still do now:

Knobels is an amusement park here in PA that is about 2 hours from my house. As a kid, Mom's work would hold a picnic there each year in June. I was 3 almost 4 in these 2 pictures :) I loved the Whip when I was a kid and this is the one made for the younger set and I was lucky to have a brother that would tag along with me on the rides too he was 9. Now I like the Scenic Skyway ride, even though I'm afraid of heights I get on and hold on tight. This particular set of photos comes from our visit to the park on my birthday 2013, we found out they had a cover bridge festival so decided to check it out. Wow the fall foliage was just gorgeous that day and the perfect way to spend a birthday.
I used the sketch #13 from the sketchathon challenge over at My Scraps and More.

This fun sketch took me less than an hour to put together this layout. I used October Afternoon Midway collection that has been in and out of my counterfeit kits many times, now it just sits by my desk handy for these kinds of layouts :) I used alphas from my current kit for the layout.

 My brother Steve and I enjoying the Whip ride. Era: 1966. The thicker & sign was a match to the color blue of the ride cars

The journaling spot, all the doo dads and that fun border strip came from the OA Midway collection too. This just came together so well, I guess having a kit available has it's advantages (no matter if it's premade or made from your stash) for some fast scrappin.

He Shoots He Scores

Hello :) So far it's been a pleasant week, lol only Tuesday though so you just never know what may happen :) This is the 2nd layout I did from the box of Memories that I'm working through:

I used this sketch:

This paper is so cool to use for this layout the tie-dye burst just worked out perfect for that sunburst on the sketch and I added a foam basketball for the title pun and the picture fun.

I added a variety of stickers, paper clipart from and old scrapbooking kit, some vellum stickers too

The paper, the PL card, the die cut stars and the Alphas for the title all came from my current counterfeit kit. That paper clip I got in a bag full of baby scrapbook stuff at a yardsale a few years ago and so glad to get that used and out of my stash, the old clip art came out of that same bag of stuff too.
I'll be using this layout for the Scrap Our Stash Challenge this month of using the word STAMP:
I used:

S- Sketch, Stars, Stickers

T- Tie-dye pattern paper

A- Alphas to create the title

M- Metal safety pin clip

P- Project Life Card, Picture, Photo Mat

I'm really enjoying scrapping photos out of this box, there is some newer pictures and some older pictures too. The My Scraps and More sketchathon is really making it fun to scrap them too. Tos see more on sketch Challenge #2 you can see it here on this blog post.
