Favorite Good Times LO for a Counterfeit Kit Challenge

Good morning and welcome to my blog. Today is the 3rd challenge over at Counterfeit Kit Challenge which is a sketch challenge and we got a good one from Master Forger Brandi Jo.

An interesting sketch had me thinking of something fun with the stars and the splatters so decided to scrap some ice cream photos from the trip:
Using my current kit used that paper with the polka dots and a 49&Market paper for to do the splattering like the sketch had in it. Used film strip pieces for the base of my clusters lots of stars and some wood veneer too. Brought the gears in because this Ben and Jerry's had a penny press which I added the penny to the layout. This took just about little over an hour to do :) Love quick layouts.

Thank you for stopping by today and seeing what I'm up to in my little corner of the world. I hope you join us over at Counterfeit Kit Challenge blog for this fun challenge.

Merry Christmas card for a Sketch N Scrap challenge

Good morning and welcome to my blog :) Enjoying a beautiful warm weekend here in PA loving the time off for Good Friday for some self care enjoying the outside a bit before going to church for service. Made a Christmas card with one of the older sketches over at Sketch and Scrap. First here is the sketch I chose:

This is a great sketch for a sweet fast card. Building up my Christmas card stash this one came together fairly quick.
Using my current Counterfeit Kit for the red paper but the rest came from a container of scraps I have on hand. The trim makes it glitter Christmas and so does the glittery sentiment.

Country Dance Party LO for Sketch N Scrap challenge

Good morning and welcome to my blog. We are starting to see Spring weather here in PA so good to see the sun out and the weather warming up. Today is another throw back sketch over at Sketch and Scrap blog. I chose to do sketch #178 from June 2019 for my layout inspiration.

This is the layout I created with this sketch:
Country was the theme of the day on the cruise and they finished off the night with a Country Dance Party. It was fun to watch and danced a couple too. Used my Kit Conspiracy kit of the week for this layout.

CKC - April 2025 Kit Reveal - Oh Yeah!

Welcome to my blog and a new month of Counterfeit Kit Challenge kit to challenge us to look through our own stash and choose a kit to play with. 1st you should have arrived here from Tara's blog. I'm looking forward to checking out her kit. Brandi Jo is also our hostess this month and she choose a fabulous kit for us to forge this month. But first I would like to welcome our guest Master Forger this month, Briana Spors. You can check out her creations over at these social spots: Instagram: mommie_rn orYoutube: lovemylifeonpaper

Here is the kit Brandi Jo has chosen for us and what she says about it: It is really starting to feel like SPRING in my neck of the woods, so for this month's inspiration kit I chose Lil' Man Collection by Bella Gypsy Designs. Don't let the name fool you, there's a lot of beautiful inspiration here no matter what theme or season you are scrapping!

This is an awesome choice for April I agree it has that Spring vibe to it and can see a bunch of nature layouts and Spring walks being scrapped this month. So with my list in hand of the delicious things I took from this kit: Here is my kit for April:

Oh Yeah!

I went into my masculine stash a bit for my kit Would love to knock out the one collection I have in there and get it used up and a heavy dent in the Cocoa Vanilla No Limits collection which certainly has no limits as I try to use it up, lol!
The chosen papers for the month :) I'm playing along with Kit Conspriacy this month too so the No Limits will be used that 1st week of April and some of the pinks and reds will get used the 3rd week of the month when they do a female mash up. With the pine trees paper hopefully I'll get Bushkill Falls trip finished up in April so I can start on a few other waterfalls trips I have taken over the years.
I brought in a bunch of gears cutfiles to be used
The No Limits embellishments to be used throughout the month. You'll see a bit of these used next week.
Some odd frames, tickets and stamps I got in a misfit box to get used
Some fun wood veneer in gears and fun boy stuff bring out those early photos of my boys. Yep I'm a boy Mom, all grown up they are.
This is the collection I would love to see get used up! Not much left in paper but a bunch of embellishments that I think I could use up in my Cruise 2025 album too. So a decent kit to scrap with this month.
Thanks for stopping by today and seeing what I'm up to in my little corner of the world. You're off to see what Laurie has come up with in her it this month check it out here. Mery Merry Merry card for a Sketch N Scrap challenge

Good morning and welcome to my blog :) When you see this I will be at my local scrapbooking crop having a blast! But there is the time to make cards, making a Christmas card with one of the older sketches over at Sketch and Scrap can certainly be fun when it has a fun twist too! First here is the sketch I chose:

The twisty challenge was to use 3 colors from the rainbow with a touch of gold and I used Red, Green and Yellow:
I added a touch of gold with the trim and sentiment on the card :)

Grown Up Play Time LO for Sketch N Scrap challenge

Good morning and welcome to my blog. We are starting to see Spring weather here in PA so good to see the sun out and the weather warming up. Today is another throw back sketch over at Sketch and Scrap blog. I chose to do sketch #169 from January 2019 for my layout inspiration and the twist was to use Rainbows.

The layout I created with this sketch:
Packing up my car for a crop :) for me a crop with friends is my play time so thought the title was a fitting start for this weekend to be scrapped. I used a bunch of stuff and those fun rainbows I got for Christmas. This collection from 49&Market the papers are just about gone, got a bunch of embellishments to use up too.

Thanks for stopping by today to see what I created and can't wait to see what you create from this cool sketch over at Sketch N Scrap blog.

CKC - March 2025 Kit Reveal - Cruisin' Through Life

Welcome to my blog and a new month of Counterfeit Kit Challenge kit to challenge us to look through our own stash and choose a kit to play with. 1st you should have arrived here from Tara's blog. I'm looking forward to checking out her kit. Christine is also our hostess this month. But first I would like to welcome our guest Master Forger this month, Martha Saenz. You can check out her creations over on her Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/msaenzmd

Master Forger Ryann is our hostess this month and she has chosen a fun kit, just perfect for me as I just came back from a cruise and it fits our album collection well. Our inspiration kit for the month is from Sweet Shoppe Designs . I chose the Beach Tale Collection by Kristin Cronin-Barrow. While this is a digital kit (and I have some of it) there is plenty to counterfeit from our stash!

This one spoke to me since it looks like Hawaii - and I just got back from my first trip to Hawaii in February!  My husband and I hadn't been before, and we went for his birthday.  And speaking of birthdays, March is my birthday month, so we will use this kit for birthday layouts, too!   I know that not everyone has tropical photos to scrapbook, but this kit looks really versatile - lots of wood grains in different colors, water that can be pool photos, and there are two collections in this kit - one that is softer pastels, the other that is a little more bold.  There is enough of both pink and blue to appeal to nearly anyone!  The woodgrain and browns gives enough neutral options to make the whole kit great for a variety of layouts.

Kit overview:

Kit 1 - High Tides

Kit 2 - Good Vibes

The perfect choice for me this month and will work out well with my cruise photos. I love the colors and swooned over the color woodgrain paper. Here is my kit for March:

Cruisin' Through Life

The papers: There is alot. 38 full sheets and a bunch of scraps along with a Paper pad I got at Christmas time.

Variety of Close ups:
I got a scrapbook kit on the ship so I added that to this kit.

Stencils, Pocket cards, Stickers too.
Lots of odds and ends here. Frames, flowers, and a chipboard set I got as a gift.
A bunch of Wood veneer and acrylic from Some Assemblage Required plus a few items from the advent calendar I received from the same shop.
Frames, Tickets, Chipboard and more stencils

A few flair too. Gonna be a fun month of scrapping. Waiting on my 1st batch of photos to arrive. Thanks for stopping by today and seeing what I'm up to in my little corner of the world. I'm the end of the hop, and we look forward to seeing what you come up with for the inspiration, your always welcome to post over at the CKC communly facebook group

Your the Best card for a Sketch N Scrap challenge

Good Morning as of this moment I'm on a huge boat sailing in the Western Caribbean. Yes to 80 degree weather and hopefully sunshine too. We are changing things up over at Sketch N Scrap doing some throw back sketches with a twist with the end of month sketches. I chose to do sketch #86 from November 2016 for my card inspiration and the twist is to use Black and White and one other color on the card, I chose to use blue.

The card I created I used scraps from my 100 Pattern paper pile from last year.
I used a white embossed base and added the black and blue scraps for this card. My sweet friend will be getting this card before I leave on my vacation. Scrappy friends are the best!

Golden Pork Chops LO for Sketch N Scrap challenge

Good Morning, halfway through Febuary already! It's been another cold month here in PA. Lots of prepping for a cruise I'm going on. We are changing things up over at Sketch N Scrap doing some throw back sketches with a twist. I chose to do sketch #236 from November 2021 for my layout inspiration and the twist was to use items for the word H-E-A-R-T.

This is what I created using this sketch:

Using my current Counterfeit Kit and some pieces from last month's kit I was able to put this layout together of a recipe I just tried in October 2024 and have to say it was very tasty and easy to make :)

A Mini kit for Counterfeit Kit Challenge

Good morning and welcome to my blog. I'm on Mini Kit duty this month over at Counterfeit Kit Challenge blog. As I wasn't sure how much scrapping from a normal kit I would get done with my vacation this month too. I love the kit that Master Forger Misty chose this month.

We are working with this month.

Kitaholic Kits' May 2024 kit

This is the kit I pulled together most of the paper came from 2 paper pads.
Love the neutrals with the pops of blues and yellow. I added Cocoa Vanilla to my kit just like the inspiration kit had just a different collection. I created this double page layout of an exhibit at the local Museum I went to in 2023.
Using the neutrals for the background and the colors for the accents. I brought in some wood veneer and metal gears along with the clocks from Some Assemblage Reqiured too.
Closeup of part of the layout.
Some of the history of the Pennsylvania Canal system in my area.
Thank you for stopping by today and seeing what I'm up to in my little corner of the world. I hope you join us over at Counterfeit Kit Challenge blog for this fun challenge.

New Recipe LO for a Counterfeit Kit Challenge

It's the last challenge of the month over at Counterfeit Kit Challenge. I started off my kit with the addition of scraps and when I had time to scrap this month it was a quick way to create a layout with already having scraps on hand.

Per our hostess this month: Our final challenge for the month of January.   We always like to finish out the month with the Scraps Challenge.  Use the scraps you've accumulated this month on your project.  I’m always impressed with what can be accomplished using just scraps!

I used a hexagon punch for alot of my little scraps to make the border and used a larger scrap for my photo matting. A few embellishments from my kit and the text conversation that my nephew and I had on facebook for my journaling.

Thank you for stopping by today and seeing what I'm up to in my little corner of the world. I hope you join us over at Counterfeit Kit Challenge blog for this fun challenge.

Good Morning, January it's been a cold month here in PA. Lots of scrappy time then plus some organization time too, more organizing than scrapping though. We are changing things up over at Sketch N Scrap doing some throw back sketches with a twist with the end of month sketches. I chose to do sketch #114 from January 202018 for my card inspiration and the twist is to used either Birthday or Hello/Thinking of You on the card.

Fantastic sketch for a Hello card:

I used a bunch of scraps for this card including a scrap of pink ribbon too. Thanks for stopping by today to see what I created and can't wait to see what you create from this cool sketch over at Sketch N Scrap blog.

Good Reading Ahead LO for Sketch N Scrap challenge

Good Morning, halfway through January already! It's been a cold month here in PA. Lots of scrappy time then plus some organization time too. We are changing things up over at Sketch N Scrap doing some throw back sketches with a twist. I chose to do sketch #240 from January 2022 for my layout inspiration and the twist was to use paper atleast a year old.

Isn't this a fun sketch by Lisa :) I was able to use the paper from my counterfeit kit for this layout which included some scraps too. I'm using some PinkFresh Studio papers that are from 2019 and 2021 so worked well for the the older paper challenge.
Scrapping about another love, my love of reading and I was so glad I come across the rest of my books when I was emptying out some boxes right before the holiday. Plenty of good reading ahead there on those shelves.
Thanks for stopping by today to see what I created and can't wait to see what you create from this cool sketch over at Sketch N Scrap blog.

Health Goals LO for a Counterfeit Kit Challenge

Good morning and welcome to the blog. It's been some cold wintery weather here in PA at the moment. It's the 1st challenge of the month over at Counterfeit Kit Challenge blog. Master Forger Christine is in charge this month and this is her challenge for us:

It wouldn’t be a new year without New Year’s Resolutions.  This challenge is all about documenting the New Year and those resolutions or goals that most of us seem to set.    So the challenge is to create a layout documenting one or more of your goals for 2025!

I had already done my scrappy goals for 2025 so I decided for this challenge to do my Health Goals for 2025. Using my current kit Let's Celebrate plus a themed piece of scrap paper to help enhance my story I created this layout:

I had started some of these goals at the end of 2024 and thought to continue the goals would make for a great habit to have in my life. The weightlifting will be something new for me but I know I need to build up my muscles for the long run of life ahead :)

Thank you for stopping by today and seeing what I'm up to in my little corner of the world. I hope you join us over at Counterfeit Kit Challenge blog for this fun challenge.

CKC - January 2025 Kit Reveal - Let's Celebrate

Let us use each new year to make the most of every day.  Welcome to my blog and to a new year! 2025 starts us off with a New Year of Counterfeit Kit Challenge kits to challenge us to look through our own stash and choose a kit to play with. 1st you should have arrived here from Christine's youtube channel I'm looking forward to checking out her kit. Christine is also our hostess this month. But first I would like to welcome our guest Master Forger this month, Ms Jennifer Cain. I've seen lots of Jennifer's layout and love that she does 8.5" x 11" layouts so it's so cool how she takes a sketch and makes it her own with her style. She is Jennifer ScrappinCain on both Instagram and YouTube. I look forward to seeing her kit.

Master Forger Christine on deck to guide us through my first month of counterfeiting fun! Our inspiration kit for the month will be Hip Kit's September 2024 "Good Things Ahead". I chose this kit because I love the unique color palette and hey, it's a new year so there must be good things ahead! This kit isn't your typical "winter" theme, which means you have so much opportunity to work with it!  I know in Texas, we don't see much winter, so this is a good fit for those of us without snow!  For inspiration, I've got the main kit and the embellishment kit images shown here.

I thought this was an awesome choice to start out the New Year and the name of their kit is perfect for a New Year's kit even though this represents September at the time. Whenever we have a Hip Kit it always reminds me of Pinkfresh Studio so I went to my 2 iris containers of Pinkfresh Studio stuff and pulled my kit amongst a variety of collections and with the addition of the Embellishment kit (2nd photo) my kit ended up embellishment heavy. Here is my kit for January:

Let's Celebrate

Isn't a New Year a Celebration?? So a fantastic name for this kit and it came from one of the cutaparts in the papers that I included. As you can see very embellishment heavy. There's alot of embellishment packs that only have a few left I would really like to get used up and some Fall embellishments that have no more paper that need used up too.
My papers
I included both full sheets and scraps to use up. I'll be playing along with
Baby Got Scraps with MK (Some Assemblage Required) and Janet (Galaxy Girl) their January Series using the full sheets here for my backgrounds while most of my scraps will be coming from my 100 Pattern Paper Pile from last year where I accumulated a bunch last month.
From the Best Day collection lots of embellishment packs with just a few left in them, I want to focus on these this month and get them used up and out of my stash.
From Days of Splendor lots of partially used packs that I would love to clean up this month, these are a Fall them and I still have some Fall layouts to finish up so hoping to get them used there. There is also the puffy stickers from Super Cool for the nod to the amusement items in the kit, perfect for the DelGrosso's Park pictures while we we're there. So that's a definite layout this month
From Some Days collection alot of everyday embellishments that will be perfect for some of the 2023 photos I want to get scrapped one of my goals for this year is to get 2023 scrapped and the blues went well from the inspiration.
From the Good Times collection another Fall collection to get used up will be perfect for my Jim Thrope day trip with some added train stuff to scrap the train photos from that day. That's it for the close ups of the kit.  Thanks for stopping by today and seeing what I'm up to in my little corner of the world. Off you go to Julene's blog if you get lost along the way the blog list is below. Look out for 2 new challenges too this year per month, your always welcome to post over at the CKC communly facebook group
