Good morning :) Busy day ahead today with getting tires for the car and getting it inspected :)
This week's challenge over at Use Your Stuff, Karrie has challenged us to mix up some old and new stash! It does not have be newly released, only something you have most recently added to your stash. And let's say "old" is something you've had longer than a year.
So I have used a very old collection: Three Bugs in a Rug-Playful Caboodle Kit and the new was the bling I added to the layout:
This layout came about from a challenge that we had over in the Yahoo Scrappin N Chattin group :) A 24 hour challenge with using a collection and a sketch :) I made it a point to add the bling for something new for this challenge. I have enough paper left to make a companion layout to go with this page next to it :)
This beautiful bridge was on the grounds of the Stoystown Antique Tractor show that we attended with our club. For a 3 day show we got to spend time with friends and got to see alot of the area :) This last day was when we finally got a chance to get some photos of the bridge as a car was parked in front of it most of the weekend.
This layout also fits for the Scrappy Sisters Scrap September challenge #1: Selfie (On of me in the bridge). Their challenge is a list and they are uploading a video a day for the challenge too, so it's been fun watching the videos and getting lots of ideas and tips too. Lets see how many more of these challenges I can get done within a week :)
Thanks for stopping by and I look forward to seeing what you create fir this fun challenge over at Use Your Stuff challenge blog.

Philadelphia and Erie Railroad for a Lasting Memories challenge
Good Morning :) Happy Sunday to you :) We've had some great weather this week for it being the beginning of Fall, high 80s and their saying we may break a record tomorrow.
Today is the last challenge for this month over at Lasting Memories Scrapbook Challenges. The theme this month has been All About Patterns and this week's challenge is Chevrons. Use some chevron papers on your layout:
I created this layout for LOAD216 Day 27: It was a Geography (the study of the physical features of the earth and its atmosphere, and of human activity as it affects and is affected by these, including the distribution of populations and resources, land use, and industries.) prompt which you could look at so many things with this prompt. The layout of the land so to speak. So I did a little peace of our world with this layout. The abandon railroad bank on the edge of our property. Our own little Rails to Trails in our backyard :) Wish I would have thought of that when I typing up the journaling :) We enjoy walks up through there quite often. A little history of the railroad added to the journaling too.
Thank you for stopping by today and I look forward to seeing your creation to this prompt over at Lasting Memories Scrapbook Challenges.

Scenic Cruising for a Sketches In Thyme Project Life Style challenge
If you are looking for the Sketch N Scrap post you can find it here
Hello again :) My 2nd post of the day is using this fun sketch over at Sketches in Thyme Project Life Style. We are changing things up just a bit over at Sketches in Thyme Project Life Style starting this month. We will now be posting sketches on the 1st and the 15th.
The mid month sketch for September is courtesy of the talented Emma Pescott:
This is the card I created with this sketch:
I used my current counterfeit kit for part of my card and an old counterfeit kit for the road trip theme items on my card. A 3X4 card that I used to create my title block for my Double page layout:
I created this fun layout using 5 photos and 5 project life cards :) Nothing like bashing the project pife card stash a bit :) I used alot of old counterfeit kit for the road trip theme items on my layout. The cards came from Me & My Big Ideas pocket pages collection of theme cards that are vacation/road trip related. I also used My Mind's Eye Hello World decorative brads and Tim Holtz word phrases for my embellishing.
The left side of the double page layout. I used 2 Project Life cards on it. I used the sketch over at Sketches in Thyme for this layout:
I just loved this sketch when I seen it
The Project Life card used for the title on the left side page of the layout.
The top corner embellishment and under the green paper I did one of my fav techniques smooshing with packaging, used 3 different Heidi Swapp's color shine inks in the Tea, Citron and Sweet Mint. Cause I used my fav technique this falls under the Scrappy Sisters Scrap September challenge Day #14-Fav Technique. It was fun playing with the inks on both pages of the layout.
Interesting sign that explains a bit about the bridge.
Right side of the layout has 3 Project Life cards on it so a total of 5 Project Life cards on the Double Page layout :) I also did the package smooshing technique on this page too. You can see more of it in the below photo.
My journaling about not finding the right turn but lead us to this magnificent sight :)
Found this fun road map paper in my stash and knew that I had to use it :)
Fun Project Life card to add some extra details. I added journaling in various spots on this 2 page layout. I had fun creating this layout :) and looking forward to creating a few more layouts from that fun day :)

#RoadTrip for Sketch N Scrap sketch challenge
Good Morning :) Today is the 2nd layout sketch over at Sketch N Scrap for the month:
I used part of a past counterfeit kit and part of my kit this month too. Used stamps and brads to embellish the page. This layout is also for Day #3-No People of the Scrappy Sisters Scrap September challenge.
Isn't this a cool sketch! I used it for the title page for a day trip we took to Honesdale, PA:
This was us leaving Williamsport, PA at 6:30 AM the sun was just starting to rise. For the one layer on the sketch I used the tickets that I got online when I purchased my tickets even though I didn't need them for the trip I printed them out anyway cause all the information needed was on them. I used part of a past counterfeit kit and part of my kit this month too. Used stamps and brads to embellish the page. This layout is also for Day #3-No People of the Scrappy Sisters Scrap September challenge.
My journaling is of when I started investigating Honesdale, PA to see what was all there, buying the tickets online and then the plan for the day. It was a fun day and lots of layouts to come from that day :)
Thanks for stopping by today and if you want to have some scrappy please join us over at

Doodling Around for Use Your Stuff challenge
Good Morning and welcome to this week's challenge over at Use Your Stuff challenge blog. This week I host the challenge and I challenged the girls to a color challenge:
I used the current sketch over at Let's Scrap Sketches for my layout. So glad to see them still doing Double page sketches:
I used circles in place of the gears on my layout.
The Left side of the layout. Holds 3 of the 7 pictures I had. Some how I missed getting a picture of Isabelle marking the face on her pumpkin. I used a couple of pieces of cardstock from my background, then pattern papers (lots of scrap papers) used the 6X6 paper that was in my counterfeit kit from July: Geometric Splatter, used 2 papers from my 100 pattern paper pile. I used alot of circles on my layout compared to the gears that were in the sketch challenge. The circles then fall into the Scrappy Sisters Scrap September challenge Day 8: Circles.
My title (which I have now corrected as I figured out I was missing the L in Doodling) and my journaling (done in red pen to match the challenge)
Fall is in the air! Use fall colors : Red, Gold and Orange
This is what I created for this challenge:
This is a layout that was when the Grandkids were marking their faces on the pumpkins before carving them out, Pap suggested they do this first. This has been a fun series of layout that I created from this event last year and I have one more to do yet to finish it up.I used the current sketch over at Let's Scrap Sketches for my layout. So glad to see them still doing Double page sketches:

JR Prom for a Lasting Memories Challenge
Good Morning and welcome to a new week's challenge over at Lasting Memories. This month's challenge is All About Patterns and this week's challenge pattern is florals. I actually struggle using floral pattern paper for some odd reason. But I try to use it when I can and this layout used floral paper and floral embellishments:
This layout came out of LOAD517 Day 31
Prompt:
The Martian – 2015
Give yourself some credit! What ingenious idea or creative solution to a problem have you come up with?
I went Off Prompt :) Just couldn't come up with anything today for the prompt :) So I did a couple of photos that have been sitting on my desk ready to be scrapped :)
Tammy's youngest son Bradley and his girl Courtney looking very stunning for the JR Prom. As they go to separate schools they actually attend each others proms.
Thank you for stopping by today and I look forward to seeing your creation for this week's challenge posted over at Lasting Memories Scrapbook Challenge blog

Believe card for a Funday Friday challenge
Hello :) Today over at Jo's Scrap Shack for the Always Anything Goes challenge our sponsors this challenge are DigiStamps 4 Joy and Little Blue Button Stamps. I got to use a sweet Christmas stamp from DigiStamps 4 Joy for my card:
I had fun coloring the stamp in with my Bic markers and then used a bit of Wink of Stella pen to add a little glitter to the stamp. Added some Christmas scrap paper and a scrap of cardstock for the card background finished it off with a chipboard die cut for my sentiment.
The inside of the card. Thank you for stopping by today and I look forward to seeing what you created for this week's challenge.

Today A New Roof for the Stick It Down Double Page Challenge
Hello and Happy Labor Day! Enjoying a nice day at home today with some planned shopping over at Michaels too, good coupon today for their sale :)
Today is Stick It Down Double Page Challenge and the sketch that we were challenged with is:
I had more photos than what the sketch had in mind so I stretched out the photos across the layout:
I stretch some of the elements over and shifted the title down for my layout to include the photos of the day. Our old red shed is getting a new roof. The last storm pretty well took it off. Dave and Brad working on it most of the day to get it completed and I say they did a fantastic job on it :)
These are the layouts that I like to try to add the photo style pattern paper to the layouts and this one in the paper pad seem to match the mood of the day, so that was my bottom border. Still working through some left over cardstock I had on my desk from the challenge last month over at the 100 Pattern Paper FBgroup. I used the green with my favorite masculine punch and a strip of the reddish brown color.
My journaling spot and some fun spare parts brads glad to use those a bit plus some yellow word stickers to round out the cluster.
The right side of the layout included a project life card I found with the photos for part of my title with the yellow alphas for the rest of my title. Used some of the caution washi tape I have and more of the brads. The background paper is from my 100 paper pattern challenge pile.
My title block
The date cluster
A close up of the finished roof.
There is also a 30 day challenge going on over at Scrappy Sisters YouTube channel. #ssscrapseptember challenge they are doing a video a day with a specific challenge:
Looks like a really fun challenge and excited to give it a go this month with them. So this layout is for Day 2 Punch/Die Challenge. If you want to check out the challenge you can find it here
I've got lots of photos scattered about my desk and my area that will fit this challenge very well.
Thanks for stopping by today and have a great day today :)

My 1st Ride for a Lasting Memories Scrapbook Challenge
Good Morning and welcome to the new week's challenge over at Lasting Memories Scrapbook Challenge blog. This month's theme is All About Patterns and this week's challenge is stripes.
This layout was created for LOAD517 Legends of Hollywood Day 20
Grease – 1978
What kind of car do you drive now, or what was your first car, or what car did your parents drive wen you were young, or how do you get around without a car?
I went with a story of my youth for this prompt and about my parents too. It was cool to see this bus at the local Transportation Museum it brought back alot of memories from me but that is a story for another time, this is the story I told for this prompt. This was my very 1st ride growing up :) Buses I remember the most, but Taxis too. My parents (era:1967) they didn't drive. Not sure why, but they never did so for me this was my normal. Till I started going places with my Aunt.
I don't use stripes very often but I do try to get them into my counterfeit kit each month when I can. I used a picture of my parents I found while looking through slides, there isn't many with them together :) Also a picture of the bus that was at the museum.
Thank you for stopping by today and have a great holiday tomorrow to all my USA bloggers :) I look forward to seeing what you create for this fun challenge over at Lasting Memories Scrapbook challenge.
