Fresh Air and Sunshine LO for Sketch and Scrap challenge

Good Morning and welcome :) August came with lots of heat and humidity! But this passed weekend it's been nice, we even survived a yard sale at the house! Took the whole week to prepare for it but we got it done so now I'm ready for a vacation :)  We got a fun challenge over at Sketch N Scrap for the day. This sketch was created by Heather and love that she has sunflowers in place for us to add our clusters.

This is what I came up with from this sketch:
 

This is the 1st layout from our fun summer weekend up at Tammy's in 2019. She wanted to make sure we got to ride the Minne HaHa as we took her and the kids on our steamboat ride here at home. Waiting in line to get on the boat I was able to take some fun pictures and this starts off our adventure that day. I used my counterfeit kit Let's Go! for my layout and also a fun cutfile from the current 31 Days of Cutfiles 2 and I used some shimmerz on my cutfile this is a fun product I've been playing with since I got it :)

Love to Get Lost With You LO for Counterfeit Kit Challenge #1

 Good Morning, been busy all week with a yardsale at the house, but I got in a few minutes to play with the 1st challenge of the month over at Counterfeit Kit Challenge blog. Julene is the host this month and she has this to say:

The road map paper made me think about getting lost.

When traveling this often happens and it sometimes leads to a new discovery. Document a page about either getting lost or finding a new discovery after getting lost.

 

For us it was a new discovery when we were in Ithaca and almost drove by it when I squealed with delight and said look there's some really cool trains over there! So we stopped in and explored what we could.

Using my Let's Go kit I had fun creating this double page layout about our adventure. Using a sketch from Week 4 from the Allison Davis class 4x6 photos only (I added a couple more photos) and using my Day #3 Cut File from the 31 days of Cut Files the layout went together pretty quickly.

CKC - August 2022 Kit Reveal - Let's Go!

Good Morning and welcome! August is here! and I'm here with a new kit for the month, but 1st you should have arrived here from Leslie's blog. This month I have some travel plans and some yardsale plans too, so this month's inspiration is perfect for my chosen photos to scrap and the feels I'll be feeling throughout the month too. We are delighted to have Caryn Adams Kidwell as our guest designer this month. Citrus Twist TRAVELOGUE Life-Crafted Kit - April 2022 – Citrus Twist Kits

I chose this kit because of the green colour mainly,but there's also lots of mustard yellows.

These papers make a statement ! (Nobody puts these babies in the corner !)

The embellishments provide for a variety of holiday/car trip/beach/walking experiences/outdoors. 

The whole kit has a bright,fresh feel.

Love that we are doing another travel kit! Just love the colors of this kit too. I stayed with a smaller kit this month as I have lots left from last month that I will bring into this kit and use with my travel pictures from Lancaster, PA in 2019. This kit brings in the gold and some red that will be perfect for the tractor pictures during that same vacation week. Here's my kit for August:

The papers:

I took the colors ans some of the motifs of the inspiration kit for my kit with bringing in some Shimelle Go Now Go collection to tie it together so the colorful street map, the globes paper and the colorful diamonds were both from that collection. Brought in 2 papers from EP For the Record for the green and red in the inspiration. The rest of the papers came from various paper pads. 

Brought in the 4x6 papers for a nod towards the project life cards that were in the inspiration kit, bringing in the die cuts pack that has the arrows and the word phrases that were in the puffy and chipboard stickers in the inspiration kit.

Lots of fun die cuts from the Go Now Go collection along with some words too

Stickers, enamels, chipboard and wood buttons for decoration my layouts
