Fresh Air and Sunshine LO for Sketch and Scrap challenge

Good Morning and welcome :) August came with lots of heat and humidity! But this passed weekend it's been nice, we even survived a yard sale at the house! Took the whole week to prepare for it but we got it done so now I'm ready for a vacation :)  We got a fun challenge over at Sketch N Scrap for the day. This sketch was created by Heather and love that she has sunflowers in place for us to add our clusters.

This is what I came up with from this sketch:

This is the 1st layout from our fun summer weekend up at Tammy's in 2019. She wanted to make sure we got to ride the Minne HaHa as we took her and the kids on our steamboat ride here at home. Waiting in line to get on the boat I was able to take some fun pictures and this starts off our adventure that day. I used my counterfeit kit Let's Go! for my layout and also a fun cutfile from the current 31 Days of Cutfiles 2 and I used some shimmerz on my cutfile this is a fun product I've been playing with since I got it :)
Thanks for stopping by today to see what I created and can't wait to see what you create from this cool sketch over at Sketch N Scrap blog.

Love to Get Lost With You LO for Counterfeit Kit Challenge #1

Good Morning, been busy all week with a yardsale at the house, but I got in a few minutes to play with the 1st challenge of the month over at Counterfeit Kit Challenge blog. Julene is the host this month and she has this to say:

The road map paper made me think about getting lost.

When traveling this often happens and it sometimes leads to a new discovery. Document a page about either getting lost or finding a new discovery after getting lost.

For us it was a new discovery when we were in Ithaca and almost drove by it when I squealed with delight and said look there's some really cool trains over there! So we stopped in and explored what we could.

Using my Let's Go kit I had fun creating this double page layout about our adventure. Using a sketch from Week 4 from the Allison Davis class 4x6 photos only (I added a couple more photos) and using my Day #3 Cut File from the 31 days of Cut Files the layout went together pretty quickly.

Thank you for stopping by today and seeing what I'm up to in my little corner of the world. I hope you join us over at Counterfeit Kit Challenge blog for this fun challenge.

CKC - August 2022 Kit Reveal - Let's Go!

Good Morning and welcome! August is here! and I'm here with a new kit for the month, but 1st you should have arrived here from Leslie's blog. This month I have some travel plans and some yardsale plans too, so this month's inspiration is perfect for my chosen photos to scrap and the feels I'll be feeling throughout the month too. We are delighted to have Caryn Adams Kidwell as our guest designer this month. I've have seen Caryn's creations from working with her in another facebook group and she's a creative extraordinaire don't miss checking out what she's put together. Instagram @thecraftyCaryn

Julene is our host this month and this is the kit she chose:

Julene says: The kit we are counterfeiting for August is another Citrus Kit.

Citrus Twist TRAVELOGUE Life-Crafted Kit - April 2022 – Citrus Twist Kits

I chose this kit because of the green colour mainly, but there's also lots of mustard yellows.

These papers make a statement ! (Nobody puts these babies in the corner !)

The embellishments provide for a variety of holiday/car trip/beach/walking experiences/outdoors.

The whole kit has a bright, fresh feel.

Here's some more pictures

Love that we are doing another travel kit! Just love the colors of this kit too. I stayed with a smaller kit this month as I have lots left from last month that I will bring into this kit and use with my travel pictures from Lancaster, PA in 2019. This kit brings in the gold and some red that will be perfect for the tractor pictures during that same vacation week. Here's my kit for August:

Let's Go!

The papers:

I took the colors ans some of the motifs of the inspiration kit for my kit with bringing in some Shimelle Go Now Go collection to tie it together so the colorful street map, the globes paper and the colorful diamonds were both from that collection. Brought in 2 papers from EP For the Record for the green and red in the inspiration. The rest of the papers came from various paper pads.

Brought in the 4x6 papers for a nod towards the project life cards that were in the inspiration kit, bringing in the die cuts pack that has the arrows and the word phrases that were in the puffy and chipboard stickers in the inspiration kit.

Lots of fun die cuts from the Go Now Go collection along with some words too

Stickers, enamels, chipboard and wood buttons for decoration my layouts

Pretty green alpha too :) to finish it off nicely. Mixed media, inks and cutfiles will be chosen when needed. That's it I'm finishing off this month's blog hop and if you started with me 1st then here's the hop list so you can go start at the beginning

Make Today an Adventure LO for Sketch N Scrap Challenge

Good Morning and welcome :) July has come with the heat of Summer and I'm loving it! We could do with some rain, but other than that all is good! We got a fun challenge over at Sketch N Scrap for the day. A wonderful sketch from Lori

I took the sketch and turned it to the right for my photos orientation

I also added an extra picture to mine and lots of journaling about the press. It was pretty cool to see it working. I used my current counterfeit kit The Getaway for my papers and embellishments for the layout. Thanks for stopping by today to see what I created and can't wait to see what you create from this cool sketch over at Sketch N Scrap blog.

2022 Congrats card for Sketch N Scrap card sketch challenge

Hello and welcome to the 1st card sketch of July over at Sketch N Scrap challenge blog. I love this card sketch that Lisa created just a fun one that can be used in so many ways, here's the sketch:

This is what I created from this sketch:

The grandson's Graduation card, I'm blessed to have had a local scrapbooking shop here years ago and was able to get some local school papers and been hoarding it for special projects. This one I fussy cut out one of the patterns on the overall paper for that flower spot on the sketch. Found the quote on a school reference sticker sheet. Using the school colors as I have my on memories of attending that school too. We certainly wish him well off to college and playing football too.

CKC - July 2022 Kit Reveal - The Getaway

Good Morning and welcome! July it is and I'm here with a new kit for the month. This month I'm the host, but 1st you should have arrived here from Misty's blog.

As the summer months come into being so does vacations so I thought that this would be a great kit to inspire us to get out those vacation theme scrapbook items and those vacation pictures to be scrapped.

I'm focusing on the May 2022 add-on kit from Citrus Twist

May 2022 ROUND TRIP 12 x 12 Add-On Kit from Citrus Twist

Capture your travel stories with this kit that features alot of Maggie Holmes Round Trip Collection (American Crafts) plus products from Pinkfresh Studio, 49 and Market, and Citrus Twist. This kit contains 12 x 12 patterned paper and embellishments

I love an awesome travel kit so was drawn to this and loved the color pallet too, mine did stray a bit from the color pallet but I did stay with in the theme and I have lots of vacation photos I want to get scrapped this month.

The Getaway

the papers:

Close Ups:

Puffy stickers, cork stickers, enamel stickers and the chalkboard style stickers

chipboard words, die cuts, sticker sheet

more word phrases, wood veneer, gems, die cuts

doilies, tickets

I brought in 2 paper pads in 6x6 and 4x6 for layering and matting. My mists, inks and any other mixed media supplies I'll pull in as needed.
Thanks for stopping by today. I need to see what the other girls have pulled together and a good place to start is over at Tara's blog  I'm excited to see how the inspiration moved her for her kit :) and if you get lost here is the full list:
