- Challenge #1: Beach Reading
- Challenge #2: Cool Waters in Hot Weather
- Challenge #3: Played in the Shade
I went challenge #1 for this layout, I do enjoy a good read so was easily persuaded to try this challenge because of the reason. The The challenge was to take a cue from one of these book covers.
I choose love and miss c<3mmunication for my layout, I went with the love part of the title and being married as long as we have we have had our share of miss c<3mmunication this is a price about the book:
This unforgettable
debut novel asks us to look up from our screens and out at the world . .
. and to imagine what life would be like with no searches, no status
updates, no texts, no Tweets, no pins, and no posts Yes, the way of life before the internet, I do remember that :)
So the book gave me the idea for the layout and the cloud and heart paper was a perfect background for the layout about some of the feelings I have for my husband :) For the layout itself I went to Let's Get Sketchy and used their week 2 sketch for my layout:
I shifted over the pennants so I could use the one for my journaling:) I also went to Whimsical Musings and used their Challenge #11 - Inspired by words "You have to kiss a lot of frogs in order to find your Prince." the layout just falls right into that prompt and I've been looking at that one quite often debating on my approach to it till I came across this photo of Dave and the rest just feel into place very nicely :)
Thank you for stopping by and do continue on with the blog hop and see what Elaine has creative she does some amazing layouts too :) and you can see what she did create at her blog.
As for the internet, do I miss the days of not having it, yes and no :) seem back then that life was a little beit slower, not so multitasking. But, when I want a quick search to find something I do love that and to see the grandkids and the great grandkids anytime on facebook yep that I would not give up at all :)
Have fun and enjoy the hop.............
The large pennant is a great place for journaling. Such.a wonderful, meaningful page.
ReplyDeleteAnother great sketch and your cloud paper is just right on this layout.
ReplyDeleteLove how you combined those inspirations onto this layout - fabulous page.
ReplyDeleteWow Tina! This is such wonderful journalling and such sweet, sweet sentiments. Aren't we happy to have found such wonderful people to share our lives with? Great combination of three challenges and a super way of interpreting the book prompt. I really like the idea of moving the pennant for the journalling - great decision!
ReplyDeleteWhat a sweet letter to your husband! Sometimes I miss those good old days when we could be less accessible too. Love that heart and cloud paper - perfect for this page. And a great job on combining those challenges all on to one page too.
ReplyDeleteGreat layout! Love the cloud paper !
ReplyDeleteThis is such a sweet layout and so beautiful! Love the journaling on the pennant - it's perfect!
ReplyDeleteWhat a great layout Tina! I love how this layout came to be and I too remember life before computers and internet. Part of me really loved that time in live, as like you said things were more simple. But I too enjoy being able to search for something or look at grandchildren on FB. I'm not a huge FB person, but do like to get some pics off of the grands. The cloud/heart paper you used is so neat and so perfect for this layout. Love the photo of Dave but most of all I love your letter to Dave! Just exactly how I felt about Dwayne when I met him, and now life just isn't the same without him in it. Hugs, Brenda
ReplyDeleteWhat a cool challenge and your rocked it!! fabulous page!!
ReplyDeleteTotally romantic, and his expression in the photo looks like he's just read it <3
