The kit does remind me of a peek of Fall with the changing of colors in the trees this time of the year. I had fun gathering up my kit and for scrapping this month I have lots to choose from :)
Here is my kit: A Little Fall in the Air
My chosen papers my focus to be more on the blues, corals and yellow. I chose 4 paper pads to pull my papers from before heading to kits.
This is from the CTMH Chalk it up kit. I got some back to school pictures to scrap. Some rubons, a vellum gold heart piece from Maggie Holmes, retro chipboard set, sticker sheet from The Story of 'Fall' collection, a boys collection with the right blue colors in it to use, a dazzles kit, a family kit that I want to use on some reunion photos from the summer, Simple Stories Home Spun to get used up. A few used 6X6, 4X6 and 3X4 paper pads that I want to create with this month. I'm doing a Shimelle class the month of Learning Something New, it seems to be more of a journaling class but to put the focus of the journaling with scrapping so these will come in handy for that and 1 of my unused Smashbooks (just not sure yet which one)
My alphas, lots of partial sheets and also some full sheets too.
The embellishments a wide array of them :) the bowl of washi tape and ribbon, bakers twine, brads, enamel dots, doilies, die cuts, some things I got in swaps that I want to work through, chipboard, paper ribbon and 2 stamp sets.
My laptop had taken a crash and I'm using my dinosaur of an old PC for the moment till I can either get it fixed or get another one (whichever is cheaper). But what was interesting is what I had to do to get to it, it seem to have become a clutter spot for scrap and card leftover and well I took it all and put it in a shoe box. From there, another day later as I was trying to find a password sheet for a site (just lovely trying to gather up all the old passwords to get into sites again :) I decided to sort through the shoe box at the same time. So all the scrappy crafty pieces are in this container:
and this will stay on my craft desk to get used up this month. I've got so many goodies in there, more for cardmaking but there is things for scrapping too. Since I've been taking Shimelle's classes she mentions a scrapbasket that she keeps her paper scraps in, well I think I'm going to give this a go for the rest of the year and see if it works out for me. I have lots of paper scraps around my craft room that I want to get used up and this may be the way to do it :)Another class I'm taking later this month is from May Flaum's Kittastic 2016
that I think is going to be lots of fun and plan to make the kits for that class from this kit and my stash :)
Thank you for stopping by today and seeing what I'm up to in my little corner of the world, it would be great to see you kits too :)
