Together at Lycoming County Fair

Hi you all, enjoying the summer? It sure is going by quickly. I just finished up this layout with the intention of doing a layout for my Super Stashbusters class over at BPC and with Scrap Our Stash challege #17 in mind: Selfie and use premade/prepackaged frame:
Since I'm usually behind the camera taking the pictures once in awhile I'll take a selfie when we are at places so I'm in the memory of it too :) The challenge for Super Stashbusters to do the layout in grid style, mine's what you call an uneven grid. I kept it unified with framing the pictures and elements one way or another. I used my current counterfeit challenge kit for my layout.

I used the red/blue festive busy pattern paper for my background, from this I pulled the colors of my elements with the addition of the green for October Afternoon's Midway collection, the journaling block is a midway doodad. I used various cut up pieces from the Midway collect throughout the layout too.
My title came from the picture of the horse barn that sits in the back of the fair, dressed it up with a metal plate embellishment, and some Alphas
A cut up piece and a picture of another exhibit barn we were entering, I really liked the quilt pattern on the door. Both are framed with CM Jewel paper frames (from an old kit)
My husband admiring some of the framed artwork
My selfie in front of a display of basket flowers really liked the purple flowers
A beautiful sunset framed corner of the cloud vellum attached with TH tiny attacher
This was just a fun sign I took, really would have loved to known what the Frankenstein was but we were appy to have ice cream cones. Fun mustache pennant border cut and the tickets that were fuzzy cut for top and bottom corners.

We do enjoy the fair. Enjoy your day :)

  2. What a fabulous layout Tina! I love, love your selfie and need to take your advice about doing that. There are very few pics of me because I hate what I look like. lol But it is me, so I just need to go with it. I also love how you did your pictures from the fair. Like the barn, very clever to put the info on the photo itself. Love, love it! Hugs, Brenda

  3. Think this is one of the best layouts you've done. I enjoyed seeing the selfie and all the wonderful pictures on your layout. What a way to preserve your memories of this fun time at the fair. Interesting way in which you split the picture of your DH & the exhibit too. Loved the old barn - and of course, loved the quilt pattern on the door. A very sunny & happy feel to this layout. I can see you had great fun at the event, and then recapturing with your great photos. That sunset was a stunner of a picture. TFS & Hugs

  4. How clever to make your title from the photo! And "framing" your husband while he admired the artwork was another fun element. Happy that you got on the page - I think we all struggle with that :~) Also liked the cloud corner on the beautiful sunset photo.

  6. Really cool layout. Love all the pictures with the frames, I struggle with them and usually use tem as an accent. Great idea with the cloud corner.

  13. Good for you to get in front of the camera for a change. I like the way you stapled on your photo corner and the way your product choices have the same feel as the fair. So much fun!
